In this week's You Only Live Twice (that YOLT), I gripe about all the pics of broken screen and other carnage cause by that wildly oscillating Wii-Mote. Who knew gaming could be so dangerous, or so expensive.

Houston Wii Have a Problem

Here's the awesome collage of carnage that goes with it:

Dear crafty gamer nerds,
VH1 Gamebreak (where I do my weekly You Only Live Twice column) is sponsoring a contest for the best Nintendo Wii craft replica. Can be made out of felt, knitted, macaroni
-- whatever!

I once made made a plush Sega Dreamcast, so I'd imagined that it would be cool to make a Wii especially if you can win one.
Vh1 Contest: Reimagine the Wii
Good luck!

It's the only PSP game I really want! And there's an inflatable + game I can win! Make an interesting composition of Loco Roco and you can win this weird awesome inflatable, a LocoRoco T shirt, and the game. More info here.

Did mini accordian zine for the Junc Gallery show (I think i posted this yesterday), but yay I finished and fed exed it a few hours ago. Thanks Chris for participating and contributing, John for the illustrations, and Caroline for the last minute freak out + paper cutting prowess. And Erin for the fashionable moral support.

The zine is about the Classic Video and Pinball Tournament at FUNSPOT, the classic arcade in New Hampshire.

I'm participating in this show at Junc gallery this saturday curated by Esther Watson + Mark Todd, and they asked us to say a few words about what a zine is. This is my response:

A Xerox- copied extension of my heart. Something independently created and conceptualized by a someone, a someone who is real and not just a giant entity. Not made by the anonymous "them." A zine is tangible, full of mistakes and humanness. Something to hold. Something I have to hand staple with a long reach stapler, that I have to hit so hard down on that it almost makes my hands bleed. And it's worth it.

and to entice you of the mini-zine i'm doing: My zine "FUNSPOT" is a preview of 1-Up 4, and centered on my roadtrip to a legendary classic arcade in Weirs Beach, New Hampshire. There, my friend Chris and I encounter hardcore game collectors, pinball geeks, a family of gaming world record holders, Libertarians, and really bad Chinese food.
