Seems that Ratred: The Following may wind up making history, it is still too early to confirm however there has been mention that the film may wind up having key scenes shot using IMAX technology.  Untill a Director and DP are announced things like that are still nothing more than rumor, but you heard it here first if it turns out true.  Producer & Story writer Tone Purzycki was a huge fan of how IMAX was used in The Dark Knight, and pitched the idea of using it in Ratred to Nehst Studios head of production Dana Offenbach.

The big news is that offers are going out to some major players in hollywood for roles in the feature film version of Ratred.  Nehst Studios head of production Dana Offenbach began breaking down the script over the weekend andsaid that she will be unable to sleep for weeks.  She compared Ratreds writers to Stephen King, a very high praise.

All parties involved have agreed that Ratred deserves to get the royal treatment in casting, and the list submitted was some of the best of the best in entertainment today.

On another note, The short film version of Ratred is getting a completely original score over the holiday break. Mikrotone hired composer Michael Whalen who is also helming there feature 'The Disappearing Act' to re-score the short so that it can be sold free and clear of copyright issues.

While the project is being budgeted and packaged, Mikrotone has been discussing some interesting casting ideas with entertainment manager Judy Fox.  Fox has a rather interesting client list that includes Priscilla Barnes, Michael Berryman, and Bill Moseley.

You will notice it towards the bottom of the page as In Development.  The only thing that isnt noted there is the actual credits, though I did play a major part in writing Ratred, and it was my idea and concept, Ratred: The Following was a very collaborative screenplay.  In all actuality it was written by Frank G. Lawrence, and the story was by David Coupe, Myself and Mike Wills created the concept, and I oversaw both the story treatment and screenplay.  When Nehst called for rewrites, it became even more collaborative as my partners Jeff Kalvin and Mikel Schardt played a fundamental role in researching real cults and bringing reality into the story.
