Time by RedTempa

'Time' is part of the 'Inner City Life' series of monochrome photo's depicting the struggles and pressures faced living in the 21st century.  This particular shot plays on the pressures brought about by not having enough time in the day to complete everything we need to do and how it effects our relationships with each other.

I currently have 'Time' entered into 'The Saatchi Gallery Showdown' which can be found here:

http://www.saatchi-gallery.co.uk/showdown/index.php?showpic=114438

Please show your support, if not for me for the other great up and coming artists that are featured on this site.  Your vote helps to boost the presence and confidence of the artists being featured and goes towards helping their work to get recognised on a commercial level.

My full portfolio can be found here: www.redbubble.com/people/redtempa

Thanks everyone for all your support

CONNECTED by RedTempa

'Connected' is part of the 'Inner City Life' series of monochrome photo's depicting the struggles and pressures faced living in the 21st century. This piece of work tells of the pressures brought upon man by his inability to disconnect himself from technology. This, like most of my shots was a candid street photography shot, the subject was unaware that is was being taken. However, I felt it to be particularly relevant to the project I was undertaking because of his body language…a suggestion of being pressurised and enslaved by the technology the subject is using.

I currently have 'Connected' entered into 2 UK based competitions running at the moment. Firstly The Saatchi Gallery Showdown which can be found here:

http://www.saatchi-gallery.co.uk/showdown/index.php?showpic=110427

I have logged on this week for the first time and have been pleased to see over 200 votes for the shot have been placed, averaging at 7.81 out of 10 per vote. I am very grateful to everybody who has taken the time to vote for me, it is much appreciated!

'Connected' has also been entered for the 'Picture This', a competition run by channel 4 dedicated to giving exposure to photographers worldwide. For more information follow this link:

Thank you to everyone for your support!

Peace

Ben

The Grimm Tales III

Junction Path by RedTempa

Welcome everybody to the third instalment of The Grimm Tales photography series by myself, Ben aka RedTempa Photography. Before you ask there is no staging, special effects, or photoshop manipulation on this shot… this place really is as creepy as it looks. When I discovered it or the first time, only a few weeks ago I couldn't believe what I was seeing, an overgrown woodland littered with contorted, gnarly old trees. Surrounding many of these trees were tombstones and shrines, some dating back to the 19th century…all with a story to tell.

I was lucky enough (or not, depending on your viewpoint) to be here early on a particularly misty morning, as a photographer the scenes I was witnessing were absolute gold. The deeper I walked into he wood the more surreal the images became, trust me it was not for the faint hearted!

Keep posted for more instalments

Ben
