Butchie and I went up to Delaware County for the weekend. We stayed with Kate and Peter and did a little house hunting. Kate and I found a really nice looking house in a small town, called about it, and were able to see the place the same afternoon.

I think I'll do a little more digging and see if I can turn up something right for Butchie and me.

We just got back to the city from three days in the Adirondacks. Butchie was a trooper to have climbed Coon Mountain (Near Westport) in nearly 90-degree weather. When we got to the top there were only a few blueberries out, but we each enjoyed a few.

Sunday morning we grabbed some food from Ernie's in Westport (breakfast buddy and Green Mountain Coffee) and went over to the boat launch to play in the water. Butchie found a great piece of driftwood to play fetch with.

Butchie and I are heading up the Northway for a few days in the ADK park. I haven't been up there in a couple summers. I think the last time I was there was New Year's 04-05.

I bought a tent and stove at EMS on Broadway today -- finally used the gift card I got for Christmas about four years ago. The tent instructions specifically warn about "your dog's toenails." BUTCHIE! Get out of there!
