After some serious retooling, the Rampage is happy to announce that the new-look Rockford Rampage MySpace is nearing completion. A few additional, minor changes will be done to site before the season starts, but the biggest parts of the revamping are complete. Please feel free to visit and explore www.myspace.com/rockfordthunder .

The team roster and stats will be available in the left column, as will the league standings and a list of the team's sponsors.

This year's schedule, ticket information, highlights, and various other sections of the site appear to the right.

The fan poll has returned to the MySpace and this month's question is as follows: "Which part of the the new season are you most looking forward?".

Due to the change in name from the Rockford Thunder to the Rockford Rampage, as well as, the change in logo and team colors that accompany this change, www.myspace.com/rockfordthunder will be under construction at very times throughout the months of August and September.

Some work has already started to prepare for the site for the start of the new season, which kicks-off in November. The Rampage will play their two matches away from on Nov. 3 and Nov. 10 against the Cincinnati and the Northern Illinois Rebels.

The home portion of the season will take off when the team returns to action on Nov. 17 in a rematch of last year's championship when the Massachusetts Twisters blow into town. It will also be the team's first appearance in their new home, the Victory Sports Arena on Alpine Rd.

Greetings Rockford soccer fans!

Here's the skinny on what you missed during the the off-season.

The New York Surf left the league, but the Tulsa Revolution of Oklahoma and the Northern Illinois Rebels of Waukegan have signed on for the AISL season.

Your friendly neighborhood Rockford Thunder have been redubbed the Rockford Rampage. The logo and team colors will be announced at the end of the month.

With the new name comes a new stadium. The Rampage will move from the ISC to the Victory Sports Arena at 7003 N. Alpine Rd. in Loves Park, IL.

Bato Radoncic was selected during the MISL expansion draft by the Chicago Storm.

John DeVae currently has 1 goal and 2 assists so far this year for the Cleveland City Stars of the USL-2.

USL-2: Stars Give Up 2 in 2-All Draw

John DeVae and Jack Cummings played the majority of the match for the Cleveland City Stars as they faced Harrisburg City Islanders on Saturday.

The Stars started the game with two goals in the first half, but ended up conceding two to Harrisburg in the second half. The match finished in a 2-2 draw.

Elsewhere, the Cincinnati Kings had a busy weekend with matches on Friday and Saturday. Tiest Sondaal, Salvatore Fiore, Mike McGinlay, and Thies Hermann all saw action for the Kings over the weekend, but Kings still managed to drop results in both with a 3-5 loss to Charlotte and an 0-2 loss to Wilmington.

The Richmond Kickers battled the Western Mass Pioneers to a 2-2 draw. Mass Twisters stars Fredrico Molinari and Jeff Deren connected to score the equalizer to save a point for the Pioneers, who are still missing Everson Maciel. Trey Alexander of the Excite returned for Richmond this weekend but spent his time on the bench.

USL-1

Michael Todd of the New York Surf saw second half action for the Charleston Battery after subbing in for Ian Fuller just after the half. The Battery claimed victory 2-1 over the Minnesota Thunder.

The Carolina Railhawks and Connally Edozien had the weekend off. However Edozien's goal from their May 25th win over Vancouver was named the goal of the week.

MLS

Gary Flood and the New England Revolution reserves had the weekend off.

USL-2 News: AISL Players Making Impacts

Thursday night, the Cincinnati Kings faced the Wilmington Hammerheads in Ohio. The match saw five Excite players make appearances for the Kings.

The Kings fell behind 2-0, but an assist from Mike McGinlay led to the first Kings, and the pieces fell into place after that. The match ended in a 2-2 draw.

Friday night in Massachusetts, the Pioneers struggled against the Charlotte Eagles. The Pioneers were short one Twisters star again, Everson Maciel was absent once again.

Despite a goal by the Twisters' Frederico Molinari, the Pioneers fell 2-1 to the Eagles.

On Saturday, both the Excite's Jack Cummings and the Thunder's John DaVae played the full 90 for the Cleveland City Stars. Despite 12 shots on goal, the Stars were unable to score.

The matched ended in a 0-0 draw ending a four game win streak.

USL-1 News: Connally Bulges The Old Onion Bag

The Carolina Railhawks have struggled to get off the ground, which is expected of an expansion side. The team dropped a result during the mid-week but saw glory on Friday.

Former Excite forward, Connally Edozien, finally tallied one for the Railhawks. The former Revolution man scored in the 57th minute for the Railhawks in a 1-0 win over the Vancouver Whitecaps.

Michael Todd of the New York Surf managed to earn 12 minutes of play as a substitute for the Charleston Battery in the team's 2-0 win over the Atlanta Silversbacks.

MLS News: Flood in New England

New York Surf defender, Gary Flood, played the full 90 in New England's 3-0 win over the Kansas City Wizards in Sunday's MLS reserve match.

USL-2 DeVae and Stars Add Another Win

The Thunder's John DeVae saw 69 minutes of action in Cleveland's 3-2 win over the New Hampshire Phantoms; while the Excite's Jack Cummings played the full 90 for the Stars.

With the win the Stars improve to 4-0-0, an outstanding start for an expansion club.

The night before the Phantoms were crushed by the Cincinnati Kings, as a number of Excite players put on show for the home crowd.

Mike McGinlay tallied a hat-trick; while Thies Hermann managed to earn three assists in the Kings 4-0 routing of New Hampshire. Salvator Fiore and Tiest Sondaal also played in Friday's match.  Tim Brown also managed to see action in the last six minutes of the match.

In Virginia, Excite front man, Trey Alexander had a quiet match. After scoring the last couple of matches, Alexander managed to play the entire match without making it on the stat sheet. Richmond managed to earn a 1-0 win over the Charolette Eagles, even without a goal from Alexander.

The Western Mass Pioneers headed to Harrisburg City over the weekend without Mass. Twisters star, Everson Maciel. Despite strong performances from Frederico Molinari, Jeff Deren, and Kyle Texiera the Pioneers were unable to score. The match ended in a 0-0 draw.

USL-1 News

Two AISL-ers met this weekend in the Charleston-Carolina match. Former Excite star, Connally Edozien started the match for the Railhawks, who have continued to struggle to find the back of the net. The Railhawks went another game without scoring.

The Surf's Michael Todd entered the match late for the Battery, who already held a 1-0 lead after a penalty kick in the 39th minute. The game ended 1-0.

MLS News

Gary Flood of the New York Surf did not see action this week for the New England Revolution in their 1-0 win over Houston. The Revolution Reserves have their next match schedule for May 27th against the Kansas City Wizards.
