The first rain filled the fields

and the ground
Was too dry to hold it in
The puddles covered the road
With shiny light and sparkle
But that's not the reason
My car just stopped
And wouldn't move one inch

Now I wait for the expert's opinion

Warming some chicken soup

Contemplating maybe it is time

To go on one of those walks

Down the path

Up the road

Take a right

Smell the earth

And all the happy flowers

Listen to the goats chime

All the way to Maripissa

To Vasili's grandma's store

Where we get all we need

For the New Year at school

Goats jumping in the sea

And the shutters clapping along

Mother earth is roaring

Singing her summer song

What is the meaning of the words

Sometimes the print too small

And the light vague

If you stop to think

You stutter

And your voice dissipates

Goats jumping in all directions

Shutters add a definite tone

Once again my favorite music

Is playing

In my sheltered home

Laughing is good for you

It's good for your health

If you don't believe me

Experiment with self inquiry

Think back on a time you laughed and laughed

And remember what it was like

Than start making ha ha

Hee hee

Whoo whoo

Doesn't it sound ridiculous

How stupidly fake

One really has to laugh at one's self

And all the effort

And look at you

So stressed

You stick your neck out

Like a duck

Ha ha

It's quite catchy

Now if you put your head on my tummy

Wait till the wave of giggle comes by

And takes you

For a ride

To the land of the big smile

And just to conclude this experiment

 Rest in the moment

Don't take my word for it

Check for yourself

Where in the body

and

what does it feel like

The longest day in the year
Started early in the morning with a pain
From the shoulder to the leg
Saying in a definite way
Take it easy slow down

The longest day in the year
Turned out to be Fathers day
Officially celebrated
In the USA

So I told my fathers story in short
Failing to describe it well
To a guest who happened
To visit from L.A

And he told his
What a story
Once again I fall short
In my ability to express

The longest day went on and on
Giving a different perspective
To my trivial life
All the drama
Striving, fighting, dreams and hopes
In two sentences or less
Now days the exhausted audience
Wants to be entertained

And the guest
A professional story seeker
Of the triumph of human spirit
With huge budgets
Price tagged in millions
Now focuses on the quality
Of the time
Left
Leaving behind a question
To contemplate
What is your story
Does it even matter in the end

Sometimes love comes knocking
On your door
But you don't recognize her face
Locked up in suspicion
And disbelief
You have known for such a long time

And love shrugs her shoulders
And goes on
Doing her thing some other place
Like water flowing through a split
Blowing through the trees
Rising in the rooster's voice
Calling you
Wake up, it's now

And you sit back
Relaxing in the moment
Emptying your mind
From any thought
As the sweet apricot
Melts in your mouth

I met a woman
Who's been around and seen a lot
Hardly walking
Due to a problem in her leg

She said it is a big problem
And that it hurts
But she has yet
To visit the doctor
Because what do they know
Anyway

Now days she's running around like crazy
Trying to save stray dogs that have suffered abandonment
In this world
And I said
Who is taking care of your leg?

I met a woman
Who's been around and seen a lot
Her spirit is bright and gentle
And her body thin and wearing out

She said she's ready for rainbow body
And I said
I'd like to spend together a little more time

Outside the sun is bright mid-day
Patting on my shoulder
Piso Livadi is the most beautiful harbor
A sailor in the sea
Could wish to come back

When we take the vow
To save all sentient beings
What does this mean, as we can't really save
The whole wide world
I once had a teacher who explained it thus
It means we vow to save the world from our own ego
And rid the planet from its fuss

To this I'd liked to add
Take cake of yourself
It's already a huge contribution
To living in a better world

By Muriel Chesler who clebrates 91!
Happy birthday Sabti!

                                                I remember a child
                                                Beloved and cherished
                                                In a family
                                                Warm and tender
                                                Who yet, at times
                                                Felt alien and alone.

                                                I remember a girl
                                                Who hungered for
                                                Knowledge and
                                                Experience
                                                Yet shrank from hurt,
                                                Dirt and discord.

                                                I remember a woman
                                                Who fulfilled
                                                Some of her
                                                Desires
                                                Yet many still
                                                Eluded her.

                                                When I think on
                                                These things now
                                                It seems odd
                                                Somehow
                                                That all those persons
                                                Should be me.

Though the wind is blowing strongly

I try to listen to the sounds

And make up a happy tune

Bang went the shutter

Creek went the door

The leaves together gather

And lol seems the floor

I believe in angels

Playing in the background

Something good

In everything I see

This makes me get up

And jump around the room

unshamelessly

This is my experience

Sometimes love is blind

But mostly still can hear

Or feel

Oh the wind still blowing mighty

Whistling through the trees

I cross the stream I have a dream

This feels true

Ratatata

Ratatata

Who knows what is that noise

The dog sighs deeply

Last notes are collected lightly

For without a song

What are we?

A boat sailing into Piso Livadi harbor

In a white stormy sea

Listen,

Just a moment before we part

Can you hear

The birds

Singing out loud

So fiercely?

Don't let your thoughts run away

By themselves

Intend to fully

Engage

In every moment

Do what it takes

To live this life

To the max

Right here

Right now

Only do good

Avoid doing bad

And constantly clearing

Clearing negative thoughts

Away

Once a year

Sun in Taurus

Full moon in Scorpio

The day the Buddha was

Born enlightened and died

Once a year and

Today's that day

In the spirit of mother's day

In some countries they

Tried to change it

To

Family day

But it failed to be

Duly honored

By the public

Great mother

What do you teach today?

The moon rose orange

Over the sea water

Bright and clear -

Until you recognize who you are

And who you are not

What is true

What is false

The view you see is distorted

Here's one form of ignorance -

Blame your partner for doing the work

You cannot

He does all the work

But this still doesn't make you

Happy or right

It's time to grow up

And take responsibility for your happiness

At least recognize his contribution

And say

Thank you

Oh you think you're right

In your complaining

And that is what matters

Let me say it simple

It does not

Some things I don't have to host

Entertain their energy in my home

Home is a space

Of peace

May the war and the trouble stay outside

Listen

There is some hope

It is a possibility among many

But maybe worth a try

Pushing forward

Towards that place that feels better

Suiting needs and human rights

Out side the window

In the garden the blue pot

Turned pink

And the washing on the line

Crispy dry

Play some good music

Once again I'm in

The dancing mode

With Mimi and Max

Laying on the floor

Of the living room

And

Crazy women in pajamas

Wonder about the meditation hall

A smile on their face

Healing magic in their palm
