I worked so hard carrying the duffel bag I have I snapped a tendon in my foot that cracked like a whip and popped out a hole in my foot between my big toe and the toe next to it.
An injury I believe that is called a "buttonhole".
Those fibrous fragments were the remnents of my ligaments that got taken out when it snapped.
That is why my foot was swollen when I went into the emergency room.
The infection was nearly non-existant.
I knew something major was more amiss after I lanced that blister and saw the blood blister beneath it.
I snapped a tendon and God healed ti practically over night.

The only thing the doctor had to do is snip off the tendon that was hanging out.

I just wanted some peroxide, gauze bandages and gauze sponges so that I could treat it myself.

Cleaning the wound and changing dressings is part of treatment.
No pill can do that.

Keeping a wound clean and changing the dressing is just as important is taking the meds.
