We Need Each Other - The Tour
was an incredible experience working with Mocha Club. They are a group
of people who put their whole hearts into bringing relief to Africa and
receive very little in return. They do such a great job of finding
practical, affordable ways for people to join in, we really cherish
being apart of what they're doing. On this past tour, with the great help of Sammy A, we raised money to build wells in the village of Jach Darfur, in the Sudan.  We had no idea what to expect and by the time the tour was over, we were overwhelmed and overjoyed with your generosity.  Enough money was
raised to build wells for 70,000 people!

Here's an excerpt from something new they're doing. Check it out and get excited because this stuff is really, truly impacting
people's lives and showing the face of love to people who need it most...

When I think of Africa, the following images immediately come to mind:
Starvation. AIDS. Child soldiers. Genocide. Sex slaves. Orphans. From
there, my thoughts naturally turn to how I can help, how I can make a
difference. “I am needed here,” I think. “They have so little, and I
have so much.” It’s true, there are great tragedies playing out in
Africa everyday. There is often a level of suffering here that is
unimaginable until you have seen it, and even then it is difficult to
believe. But what is even harder is reconciling the challenges that
many Africans face with the joy I see in the people. It’s a joy that
comes from somewhere I cannot fathom, not within the framework that has
been my life to this day. [read more]

Check out some cool shots from this week with the Extreme Makeover crew. Today we were able to see the house get torn down! What a crazy day! We got to hang out with Paul again and he took us back to the catering tent for some solid hang time. We discussed making goat cheese, the names of his 3 dogs, Tom Petty, and what the stars of LOST are really like ;) WOW - did that really happen today! haha... what a genuinely cool guy. I pray that all goes well with the build this week. It's going to be quite a house I guess.

tomorrow we head out for some more shows. Can't wait for the rest of this tour to get rolling.

See you soon!

Last night we were fortunate enough to play a HUGE benefit concert for a family from our very own hometown that will have their house torn down and re-built for the ABC show Extreme Makeover - Home Edition. Over 5,000 people showed up to display their support and an unprecedented amount of money was raised! We were so happy to be a part of the show and can't wait to see how the house turns out! We even got to play a song with designer Paul DiMeo. How crazy is that!

It's not like this week wasn't already crazy enough... we kicked off our fall tour Thursday night and couldn't have imagined before the show that after Sammy spoke the crowd would rally to raise over $30,000 in yearly pledges to mochaclub! How cool is that? Please come check the tour out if we're in your area. The guys in Tenth Ave. and VOTA are so awesome. We couldn't be more stoked for this tour.

Be sure to check out sanctusreality.com soon - we just posted another episode of our 'docu-series.'

love you guys!

chris

Foolish me...I forgot to mention the best part about buying the shoes. Go to this website, buy some shoes, use the promo code "sanctusreal" and you'll save $5! And if you do it today, September, 6th, the family from the Toledo episode of "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" will receive $8 from each purchase. If you can't do it today though, don't worry, you can still go to Tomsshoes.com and the promo code will still be good. Seriously, go check it out.

Right now, check out this link to Tom's Shoes.

This upcoming week, the ABC show, "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" is coming to Toledo to build a home for a family in need and as part of the week long event, they're putting on a Sanctus Real concert. It's an amazing opportunity for the band to be able to serve their community, and on top of that, you just might see them on the show!

And better yet, here's a really awesome way that you can be apart too....we just learned this...40 percent of the world's population does not own a single pair of shoes. How crazy and unnecessary is that? We've hooked up with Tom's because their doing something pretty incredible...For every pair of shoes they sell, they give a pair away. They do shoe drops all the time and have given tens of thousands of pairs away, and it's only getting bigger. It's an amazing opportunity to show the love of Christ in a great way.

Well for the upcoming show, they're sweetening the pot. Not only will they still give a pair away, but if you buy a pair through this link, $8 dollars from the sale will go directly to the family! You have to hurry though, the concert is this Sunday, the 7th, and the special ends then. So check it out and rock some Tom's Shoes with us.

Sammy, who grew up in Nigeria, has an amazing story and will
be sharing his heart and concern for those in suffering in Africa.  He
lives in Toledo, OH now with his lovely wife, and will be on tour with us this fall.
We're super proud to have him out with us on the tour, and can't wait for you
guys to meet him.  His Joy and deep love for Christ is purely contagious.

And for those who want to see Sanctus Real in our home town, we are playing
at Cedar Creek Church Sept. 4th in Perrysburg, OH.  For tickets please go on the church's website, cedarcreek.tv, or call 419-661-8661 for more information.

Thanks and God Bless,

If you go to My blog you will see that the most awesome thing happening in my life right now is the fact that I got engaged last week! I'm so stoked. Since this is the Sanctus Real blog however I will talk about things that are band related. Like the fact that I play PRS guitars and believe with all my heart that they are the best guitars out there.
I had the privilege of going to the PRS factory last Friday and was able to tour their facilities. After seeing from beginning to finish the whole process of how they make their guitars I was even more impressed by their quality. Not to mention that Jack at PRS is probably one of the nicest and most down to earth people I've ever met.
So with all that being said I give you(well I'm not actually giving it to you, but I'll show you) my new PRS SC250 Goldtop! (no joke the day I got this guitar we played a show and I literally didn't need to tune it the whole show)

They also took some photos of me with my PRS SE One
This is an incredible guitar and for the price you can't beat it. The SE line is super affordable and they are amazing guitars. Thanks to Marc Q at PRS for making me look cool in front of his camera lens.
I'm super proud to say that I play PRS guitars, Check out the PRS website

You guys rock and I hope to see all of you at a show soon,
