Finnish pop singer Sara Nunes is perhaps best known for her 2005 single "Simon Can't Sing," which satirized the infamous American Idol judge Simon Cowell.
Born in Helsinki in 1982, Nunes grew up in a multilingual household -- her father is Portuguese and her mother is Finnish -- and even spent time in Africa, where she moved with her family around age nine. Nunes first came to the public's attention as the lead singer of the band Sinamour while in her teens. In 2005, she released her punk-pop-leaning debut solo album, How to Rule the World in 12 EZ Lessons, in Finland. Two years later, the album received a U.S. release. ~ Matt Collar
