The release date for our new album, It Doesn't Matter, has been penciled in.

& Records will be releasing the album in Japan on April 15 and we will be releasing it shortly thereafter in the US and Europe.

A few more details to sort out before we place the album in our online store.

We're excited to finally be sharing this new music with all of you. Hopefully this summer there will be some live performances corresponding to the release dates.

We still have a new record that is finished and we are still trying to get a release plan together.  Japan looks like it will be first in line with a tentative release in March 2009 followed by some touring there in July.

The Sundance Film Festival is using our music on the official trailer out in Park City before all of the films again this year.  I believe that makes 3 years in a row.  Also, some music featured on HBO's 24/7 a couple weeks ago and possibly something on CSI Miami in the coming weeks.

If you were watching SNL last week you might've recognized a dear friend, "j" tillman.  Hopefully it put a smile on your face too.

We spent the past 10 days at Tarbox Road Studios finishing the majority of the recording for what will be a new Saxon Shore album.

We're working with producer Dave Fridmann again (flaming lips, mogwai, mercury rev).

We'll be spending the next few weeks adding some finishing touches at home and then returning to mix in June.

The album is running about an hour in duration with 10-12 songs.

Things are sounding good and we're excited to share this new music with everyone.

Them's the basics.

Beginning this week (Tuesday April 22nd) Saxon Shore's "Marked With the Knowledge" will be featured on a series of commercials for SONY HD. This news comes at a good time as we have just entered into an agreement with Primary Wave Music Publishing (whose small roster also includes Nirvana and Daniel Johnston) and are getting ready to enter the studio again with producer Dave Fridmann to finish a new album due out late 2008/early 2009. Tour dates are being planned for Europe, Japan and possibly the US to surround the release of the album.

A new demo from the album is posted on our myspace. We will have more news to share with everyone very soon.

Anyone watching the MLB all star game last night you might've heard our songs "Side by Side in this Gentle Descent", "The Last Days of a Tragic Allegory" and "Marked With the Knowledge" during an interview with Willie Mays in the pregame show.

Click on "VIDEO: Interviewing a legend"

"The Revolution Will Be Streaming" was used in a similar context (not a Willie Mays interview) before the Kentucky Derby on NBC last month.

Also, some new tracks posted here on our myspace including Tyondai Braxtons (BATTLES) remix of "Shaping..." previously only available on Spark Musiq's Japanese issue of The Exquisite Death.

New music soon... really...
