Current mood:homesick.
I'm sitting at Bob's Java Hut, somewhere in Minnesota, the first half of the fall tour dates with the wonderful JoAnna James are sadly coming to an end and so I think it's about time I post some new news:

1- Old Songs: I've taken the songs from the "American Music" EP down until further notice, we are currently going through some legal troubles with our old label Eyeball Records in regards to getting the masters back for that record, so until them, NEW DEMOS!

2- New Record, New Demos: we are recording a new record in the next coming months, with the working title "this is really happening right now" so within the next few weeks we will post a few demo's for your aural pleasure. here is a little about the two new demo's we have up right now

"everyone I meet" - This is a rough mix of the first song cut for the new record, it was recorded at the lovely Buddy Project Studios in Queens, NY. It features me on everything but Clarinet, which Mario was generous enough to grace the recording with. it was recorded in 12 hours of flu driven madness, and is not yet mixed. It was engineered by our amazing friend Eliot.

"record's spin" - This is an older demo for "this is really happening.." It was written in October of 2005 behind the counter of Loria music in Garwood NJ Before I moved to NY and met the band that I now play with. it was recording in a week long demo session we did in our apartment this past may/june, it features, Me on guitars and vocals, Mario on Rhodes, Brandy on vibes, Ryan on drums, Patrick on the lead guitar, and bob Hoffnar on pedal steel. It is also not mixed, only because we used it as a demo for the coming time we'd spend in the studio.

"the best of me" - This demo was recorded in patricks living room in redhook brooklyn, it features Me on piano and vocals, Rob Jost on Upright and french horn, and JoAnna James on Violin

3- More touring?: YES! more touring. I will be leaving for Boston this coming Tuesday to continue on this fall's solo tour, I'll be doing dates down south with David Shultz. When I return, the band will start booking this winters tour, which we plan on leaving for Jan 2nd, and we would like to be on tour for a full 30 days, so if you know of anywhere in your town that you'd like us to play, Let us know, we will gladly do so.

4- Website, and news blog: we have finally started in designing our website, seanwalshmusic.com, and hope to have it up within the next month or so, but for now you can visit the site and go to our news blog, which is linked below the splash image on the site. please visit and feel free to leave comments and love and anything you'd like.

5- Label situation: I've been asked quite a few times on this past half of the tour what is going on with our label situation, as some of you might have known, For the past year or so I was dealing with Eyeball records to handle my EP "American music" but since this past july, the decision was made that it was best that we part ways, they since taken the EP off of I-tunes, and are holding my EP until the legal matters of the situation are handled. I am doing everything in my power to get that EP back on i-tunes and available for you a.s.a.p..... as for future label possibilities, we've decided to take ourselves out of the rat race that is the music buisness and for now release a few things independently until a more desirable situation comes up. Also, I've decided to start a record label, Rock always records, from which we will probably release an EP this coming winter. so please keep your eyes pealed.

For now, That is all I have for you, we hope this fall brings you light hearts and good times.

love,
,Sean, and the National reserve.
