Is...........

To wake up and not see a story on the news about THIS guy!

Really... can we just move on from this already?  So the guy commited adultery. Who freaking cares?  Yes he's a public figure, but I really don't need to hear what all his text messages to his harem of girlfriends are.  There's more important things going on in the world,

Leave the Tiger Woods stories to TMZ and Entertainment Tonight... Enough already!

I don't know what's worse, hearing about Tiger Woods all day... or seeing THIS picture

Sorry if you were eating while you saw that.. But I wanted all of you to suffer along with me.

I've lived in this apartment for 6 years, and I think I've only decorated for Christmas once.  I'm not home for Christmas Day, I always go to my son and daughter-in-laws house.  And with the cats, I was always afraid of this happening
.

But this year, I was driving to NH for Thanksgiving,

(false alarm, he stopped the car in front of me)

And I remembered that my sister Jennifer gave me a Christmas Tree and ornaments last year.  It's a little one foot tall tree :)  So I decorated it, and set up my village houses (I only have two.. Lucinda has an entire city, it's beautiful)  And I decorated for the first time in 6 years!!

The cats have already knocked off 75% of the ornaments and use them for toys.. another reason for my lack of decorating!

So Christmas Eve I'll be going up to NH, and who knows, maybe we'll sing a few carols

But if anyone mentions Tiger Woods....  I'm putting these on, and calling them Grandma!

The blaze seemed so non-threatening that firefighters didn't bother to put on their masks as they swept through the Worcester Cold Storage and Warehouse shortly after 6:15 p.m. on Dec. 3, 1999. Soon, all that would change. The building would quickly envelop the men inside with thick, boiling smoke, poisonous fumes and flames that would reach more than 3,000 degrees before the horrible night ended.
Six Worcester firefighters -- Lt. Thomas E. Spencer, Lt. James F. Lyons, Paul A. Brotherton, Jeremiah M. Lucey, Timothy P. Jackson and Joseph T. McGuirk -- never made it out alive. District Fire Chief Michael O. McNamee, who would later call the abandoned warehouse "the building from hell," said he had never seen conditions deteriorate so rapidly in 27 years on the job.
The fire had started earlier in the afternoon when a homeless couple, Julie Ann Barnes and Thomas Levesque, knocked over a candle during an argument. They ran out of the building when they couldn't put out the flames. They never reported the fire.
It took six days to extinguish the blaze, eight to locate the remains of all six men. The drama played out in front of a grieving city and nation. President Bill Clinton and more than 30,000 firefighters from around the country joined the city in a public memorial service at the Worcester Centrum.
Through the tears, the city seemed to gain strength and unity. Thousands lined the streets for the memorial service, standing silently as a sea of visiting firefighters marched by in their dress blues. A fund started by the Telegram & Gazette on the night of the blaze raised more than $6.5 million with contributions coming in from all over the world. The tragedy touched everyone.

Article

It's hard to believe it's been ten years.  May they all rest in peace.  The article only mentioned President Clinton, however, Vice President Al Gore was also there.

If anyone wants to read about the tragic fire, there is a book called 3000 degrees.  I've had it for years, and never read it until this summer.  It's very well written.

Remember the story of the Census worker in Kentucky that was found hung from a tree, bound with duct tape, with the word "FED" scrawled across his chest?

The same one that quite a few bloggers INSISTED was killed by a Right Wing Lunatic...   Yeah, that one...

Well geez, Surprise Surprise Surprise!  Turns out it wasn't homicide after all.  The man commited suicide.

Ayup.  Investigators said he had just recently taken out two life insurance policies on himself, and the writing on his chest was written from the bottom up ( as if he were looking down while writing it)

So imagine that huh?   All those blogs that were SOOOO Certain it was a Right Wing Extremist...  LOCK THEM ALL UP!!  They're all Home Grown Terrorists!

Me thinks maybe people shouldn't be so quick to jump to conclusions hmmmm?

You can read all about it right Heeyah

Flacon, you were right..... Time for the tinfoil hats to come out again.

Now I have a question.......

Did ANYONE hear about this on the news at all?  I know I haven't.  Not a peep.  I just happened to come across it when I was looking other stuff up.

Even the media made a big hoopla out of his death...... yet nothing of the final ruling of his cause of death.

And we wonder why people are so insane with their accusations.

When I was watching the news on Thursday about Fort Hood, they said the President was going to give a statement about the shooting.

Did anyone else notice how he came out to the podium and actually went through all his acknowledgments and gave a "Shout Out" to someone???

It was almost as if he were giving just any old speech.. and it wasn't until after his "shout out" that he addressed Fort Hood.

I can't help but think that if it had been President Bush, he would've stopped all applause and got right to what he had to say about our soldiers.

But Obama had to get his celebrity fix first.

Did anyone else notice that?

We live in this great big world....  A melting pot of all origins, races, sexes, colors, nationalities, and on and on....  In this politically correct world, people's senses of humor have gone by the wayside.

You can't tell a joke without looking over your shoulder to make sure no one else in earshot for fear they might  be offended.  You can't disagree with the President without being labeled a racist.  You can't disagree with the President without being labeled a home grown terrorist.

So here it is Halloween, and I was trying to think of a good costume, and I came up with a few... but there's always some that would find them politcally incorrect.

I thought of going as "The first cat to land on the moon"
Space Cat Pictures, Images and Photos
But then I might offend those who don't believe we landed on the moon.

I could go as a cowboy..........

cowboy cat Pictures, Images and Photos

But then I take the risk of offending those who want to take away our 2nd Amendment rights.

Or maybe an Army cat?

Cat Soldier Pictures, Images and Photos

Naaaa... that might piss off the terrorists.. and gee, we don't want to do THAT now, do we!

Or maybe a Christmas Tree?

Cat Christmas Costume Pictures, Images and Photos

Oh wait.... that's right....  Christmas is practically banned now.

What if I went as a Taco?

taco cat! Pictures, Images and Photos

Or would that offend Ronald McDonald?

And then I thought... A HA!!    I could go as a vampire!!
Vampire Cat Pictures, Images and Photos

But, we wouldn't want to upset the coalition of anemic people.

SO...................................................

I've decided the Heck with Political Correctness... if we continue on this path of destruction in our country...  we'll be to the point where we can't speak at all without wondering if what words we say are going to be deemed offensive by someone else.

We're getting close to that......  And I don't like it at all.

I think taking the "Illegal Alien" costume off the shelves was a GIANT step in that direction.  I still think that was the best costume ever :)  And got a big kick out of it....   Too bad more people don't have a sense of humor about things.

Happy Halloween Everyone!

*UPDATE*

Fire Fox still doesn't work, but I did try using Explorer and that seems to be working fine.. so it's probably a glitch with FireFox.
Thanks for all the suggestions, I'm gonna try them all LOL

For the past two days, I can't get on to any blogs. It starts to load the blog, then it bounces me back to the blog home page.

I can't even read my own blogs. I will be shutting comments off for this blog since I won't be able to see them anyway.. and I don't want to give DR a free forum to pick on me without me being able to see :)

So if anyone has a suggestion on what is wrong, or what I can do to fix it.. just send me a message,

And yes, I know, the most obvious suggestion is to get a new computer.. but I can't do that right now LOL

Thanks!

Sean Hannity has been saying for awhile now that “Journalism is dead”. Well somebody may have attempted CPR and found a slight pulse.

....

We all know that Obama and his cronies have been trashing Fox News, and saying it’s not a ‘real news station like CNN. In other words, meaning, they don’t bow down to Obama and only report the Fluff stories.

....

Recently the Administration announced that they were sending out Kenneth Feinberg, the “Pay Czar” for a Round Robin of interviews with all the major networks….

....

All of them except Fox.

....

I guess the White House thought there would be all sorts of cheering and Ya Hooo’s! from the other networks for ‘sticking it to Fox’. But all the Networks banned together and said, if Fox isn’t included, then we won’t be there either.

....

I don’t expect MSNBC or CNN will change their reporting, or tame down their propaganda, but I think they realized that, Hey, if it could happen to Fox, it could happen to them, and they stepped up to the plate.

....

I give them credit for that at least.

This picture has nothing to do with the blog topic.. but I saw it and wanted to share :)

I'm sitting here watching Glen Beck today and he starts talking about Anita Dunn (White House Communications Director). Turns out she had some pretty interesting things to say about Fox News.

Now anyone in their right mind knows that Glen Beck, O'Reilly, and Hannity are OPINION Shows.. not News programs. Same as Chris Matthews and Olbermann are OPINION shows, not news programs.

Anyway.. this is what she had to say on
CNN

If you click the link you can watch the actual video, but I'll post a few of her comments here.
Fox News often operates almost as either the research arm or the communications arm of the Republican Party," Dunn told CNN, adding, "let's not pretend [Fox is] a news organization like CNN is." Dunn also took her beef to The New York Times, saying in a Sunday interview that Fox is "undertaking a war against Barack Obama and the White House [and] we don't need to pretend that this is the way that legitimate news organizations behave."

In the most significant exchange on CNN, Dunn stressed that President Obama now personally views Fox as a partisan opponent, rather than a journalistic organization. "When he goes on Fox he understands he is not going on it as a news network at this point," she explained, "he is going on it to debate the opposition."

As an OPPONENT? So that must include the viewers of Fox News too, correct? I mean, we all remember Obama's condescending remarks about "people waving their little teabags around" mocking the very people that could be the deciding factor on whether he is a one or two term President.

Isn't declaring war on Fox News just a wee bit childish? Chris Wallace called it right when he said this Administration was nothing but a bunch of cry babies.

So lets look at some statistics on the cable news programs. (News and Commentary)

Hmmmm... Fox News Channel, #1 in ALL TIME SLOTS. Some of the shows beat out the other channels COMBINED!!

So anyone that watches Fox News, listens to Fox News, or goes to the Fox News website... The White House considers you an OPPONENT!

How comforting to know that the President is AGAINST the majority of the country's population.
