I want to say a special "Thank you" and to everyone at Anime LA. We felt an enormous amount of love from everyone - fans and staff included. The cosplays where amazing, and the energy was intense! I was also asked to be a stunt singer for Heide Nichols during the Filk Contest. We won the competition, so I was able to sing during the masquerade. If you're not familiar with filk, you can find more information here. Thank you all so much! Love to you all, - Mary

What are your thoughts of the new myspace and website design? In particular: Are there any features/gadgets you would like to see? Do you like the layouts? What kind of interaction and information do you wish to receive?

Ceremonial Constructs By Mary Hamer (of S.I.G.M.A. Project) Forces of iniquity, Lions of prospectability, Within this golden circle, I call to you. Cadaver dogs sniff at our continuation, Triggering contentious law. Authentically, we defeat our beginnings, Amending our misrepresentations, Misunderstanding our confronting emptiness. Slightly sensitive, yet provoked, We contour forgotten scrolls, long scribed. Speaking of skill, shaping these analogies... We want. We dispose. We offend.

Goodevening friends, morning as though it may be...
It has been many long hours of recording, and even longer hours of mixing and mastering. More still to come in the next few weeks, but my heart is not exhausted. Nor is it allayed of the burning passion that this album brings with the heightening of it's fruition.
Excitedly, we present to you now, the first burgeoning shoot after the winter toil: "Don't Let Me Fall."
- Mary

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
S.I.G.M.A. PROJECT SET TO RELEASE DEBUT ALBUM ON RAZORHOLE RECORDS THIS SUMMER, DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS ARTIST TODD LOCKWOOD TO DO ART
May 9, 2007 -- California based Symphonic Metal band, S.I.G.M.A. Project, is set to release their debut album "In The Shadow" this Summer through San Diego area based Razorhole Records. "In The Shadow" will be available both on CD and as digital download, however CD sales are expected to tower those of the digital download for several reasons. The CD version of "In The Shadow" promises not only an additional epilogue not to be included as a digital download option, but it also features a 10" x 14" fold-out poster insert featuring the artistic mastery of Todd Lockwood. The legendary Todd Lockwood is a multiple-award winning fantasy/science fiction illustrator. One of the most influential fantasy artists of the last 30 years, he is best known for his artistic work on the popular role-playing game of Dungeons and Dragons, the collectible card game of Magic: The Gathering, as well as covers for numerous magazines and books including that of author R.A. Salvatore. The forthcoming album is self-produced and recorded, and all instrumentation is performed by the band's lead members, the husband and wife duo: Mary and Trevor Hamer. "In The Shadow" is a concept album dealing with darkness, salvation, pride and hope, and promises contrasting textures and juxtaposed genre-bending stylings. Pre-orders of the album is now available, boasting the incentive of a free S.I.G.M.A. Project dog tag and signed cover-art with pre-release purchase.
To pre-order a signed copy of In The Shadow (including free dogtag w/chain), click here to go to S.I.G.M.A. Project's myspace site and click on "Add to Cart." To find out more about Todd Lockwood: http://www.toddlockwood.com ###

Written by Mary of S.I.G.M.A. Project:
And so it is, in the life of Mary and Trevor that: we get robbed at gunpoint. Around 11:40pm last night, we were coming back from a modeling meet and greet (and subsequent In N Out). I got out of my car and started walking towards Trevor and the van (we had both cars). The next thing I know there are two guys walking towards me and telling me to give them all of my stuff. There was another guy keeping Trevor on the ground next to the van, and in a heartbeat, I had two barrels touching my face (one to my cheek and one to my temple). Suddenly, all training left my body. I know how to disarm someone.. but not two... and certainly not with a third man pointing a gun at my husband's head. It was so surreal. I've seen guns all my life, but this is the first time they seemed.. not real. I'm so used to them being used and treated as instruments of beauty, craftsmanship, skill and sport, that to see them perverted like that in and of itself was unreal and sickening. As they were taking my things I just kept saying "I'm sorry" (I'm not sure why).. to which they retorted with "you will be if you don't keep your head down" and "I'm going to blow f*ing your head off." After they took my things (phone, purse, all of the makeup I have to my name, PDA, digital camera etc.) they told me to keep my head down and to keep walking. As we approached the dark area which was by the dumpster, I pretty much came to the understanding that I was going to be raped. Just then they spotted a man walking over to us with a pit bull and they stopped, told me to do the same, and ran they for it. From Trevor, they had taken his wallet, his phone, our laptop and his keys. So I was up until 5 in the morning talking with police, calling in all the credit cards and bank cards, and changing any passwords that MAY have been POSSIBLY saved on our laptop for some reason. Needless to say, I have *no one's* phone numbers any longer. I'm so used to just clicking people's names! =( Everyone: please msg me (or email me) and give me your phone number again. Our home phone isn't working right now, and seeing as how both cell phones were stolen.. if it takes a while for us to call.. that would be why. Luckily, amazingly.. they didn't take Trevor's guitar. It was right there next to the laptop, but they might not have known what was in the case (or figured it was too big to run with). Also, awesomely enough they didn't take my keys too (so we could get in the house, and so we could move the car so if they came back to take the car they wouldn't see it there.. thank God I didn't put them in my purse as usual). Heck! It was shocking they didn't just steal the van! Special super duper thanks go out to Daniel and Crystal Bates for being so awesome to offer their home to us, being so supportive and for even letting us borrow their cell phone for the night so we could call all of the credit card companies, bank and family. And thanks to you too, mysterious man with the pit bull! And if anyone knows Trevor and my feelings about pit bulls, you'll know how much of an ironic God we have. And knowing us as He does, He knows that irony.. is our favorite form of comedy. - Mary

Beloved- I just wanted to extend a huge "thank you" to anyone and everyone that both attended and helped run TRAUMA on September 29th. We were greeted by such love and warmth that it was incredible. We felt so welcomed by everyone. It was also a great pleasure to see fans there that aren't accustomed to the Goth scene! Personally, I will always have a special place in my heart for helping to be a catalyst in presenting different sub- and counter- cultures to people than they are used to experiencing. Love needs understanding in order to grow, and understanding is never cultivated without experience – never without removing the blinders of one's own circumstances and stepping, for even an instant, outside of the comfort zone. So for all of you who, perhaps, had never worn all-black in your life until that night; to the few of you who even refused to let your individualism fade that night by still wearing soft pink and white heals; to the many who, again, in their striking distinctiveness, gathered together under the canopy of darkness to find comrades within a shelter from a deceptively bright world: I love you all. - Mary
