Simply Red will play a series of dates in spectacular woodland locations next summer as part of Forestry Commission Live Music. Mick says “As we had such fun performing at Westonbirt Arboretum this year, we decided it would be great to play all the forest concert venues around the country in 2010. It is a fantastic experience for a band to play in these unique settings".
Forestry Commission Live Music pays for itself and any profit generated goes back into improving woodlands for both wildlife and the public to enjoy.

Tim Kellett, who a lot of you will remember from early Simply Red days, is running the 'Yorkshireman' Marathon in Haworth on the 13th of September to try and raise some cash for Cancer Research UK.
He is doing this because his sister Ann died very suddenly last year from cancer. She was only 46.
Tim says "It was a huge shock to us all to find out that Ann had been suffering, unbeknown to her, for a long time with cancer. Ann was a massive Simply Red fan and I know was always very proud and excited that her brother was in the band... it would have thrilled her no end to think that Simply Red fans were supporting this cause!"
If you would like to sponsor Tim please do so here:
