So, after eight months of doing relatively nothing I find myself today in Richmond, VA attempting to help complete what will be the third Smoke Or Fire record.  We have no time frame, no deadline, no release date to report (other than we're hoping to get it out mid 2010), no pressure.  We're alive, we're relatively healthy and we're happy.  There will be more news, can't really say when.  We're just trying to put a rough 2009 to bed and awake rested and ready to roll for 2010.  Thanks for your patience. Sorry it took so long to post anything.  We just wanted to make sure we had something positive to say. And I'm stoked that we do.  

Hey everyone, Jeremy here. So we'll be heading out West later this month where it's hopefully warmer and sunnier than here on the East to do a run of dates with our buds in NOFX. We start in Vegas and work our way through AZ with the majority of the shows in Cali. So, if you're interested, plenty of chance to see more than one show. All the shows so far are posted on our profile page. There are some days off that may or may not get filled in, we'll keep you posted. After that we're gonna finish up writing the follow up to This Sinking Ship and head into the studio with Matt Allison in Chicago hopefully in late March or early April. Shaping up to be a great start to 2009. Thanks Ya'll. More soon.

Hey folks. We just returned from our tour of japan, australia, and new zealand. we had a blast on the other side of the world. thanks to everyone who made our trip so much fun. We head to germany tonight and begin our tour of europe with our little buddies fake problems. The dates are posted and we hope to see you all out there. We're hitting the road. Our east coast dates begin tonight in Boston at the Middle east downstairs. Marc Orell (gimmie danger/ ex. dropkick murphys) will be opening. Confront plays second, and then Far From Finished play before us. Doors are at 8pm. Tomorrow we play Philly at the Fire. After that its the Ottobar in Baltimore, then The canal club in Richmond VA. After that we head to Japan, Australia, and New Zealand. Hope to see you all out there. Cheers.

Hey everyone. Thanks to everyone who has been writing to us about all of the upcoming tours. These shows are going to be great.
I've just posted all of the new dates I have. Some are for the US east coast dates starting Oct. 1st. FAR FROM FINISHED will be joining us on all of those dates. Great band, check them out. The rest of the dates I've received for Australia and New Zealand. Europe dates should be coming in shortly and I will post them as I get them.

Hey folks. Sorry for any problems reaching us in the past few weeks. Our myspace page was hacked or something. should be all good now.

The band is in Richmond VA right now writing our new record. Feels good to wake up every day and write music with your friends again. We've thrown back a beer or two together as well. We had hoped to record earlier, but our Japan tour has turned into a bit of a world tour. No complaints here. Lots of new places to see. Lots of new people to meet. Looks like we'll have to record the new record after the first of the year. The good news is we get to go out and road test the songs. throw them against the wall and see what sticks.

I posted our tour dates for Japan. From there we will be heading to AUSTRALIA and NEW ZEALAND. After that we're working on a month long tour of EUROPE with our little buddies FAKE PROBLEMS. Email us and vote on which country you think we should leave Derek in.

There will be some shows in the states here as well. Gas prices are really killing. I know you all feel it too. I'll post more about those as well in the near future.

Hey everyone. Hope all is well. Really excited to announce and post the dates for our JAPAN TOUR in October. From there we will be heading to AUSTRALIA. I'll post those dates when I get them. Before we head overseas we will be touring parts of Canada and the US in September. Ill also post those dates when I get them. In the meantime we are writing and working on our new record. We'll be busy all summer writing, and then we're going test the new songs out on the road and see how they feel.

I am writing to let those of you who do not yet know that this upcoming
tour with be my last playing bass in Smoke or Fire. We are doing our
ever-familiar I-95 East Coast trip and I almost feel selfish about
getting to share the stage with so many of my favorite bands and best
friends. We start at CMJ in New York City, hit up the Fest in
Gainesville, and then head back to the Northeast to the play Middle East
Downstairs with AVAIL. For me this is a full circle journey as this was
the place I first saw them back in '95 and thought "Wow, music can
actually /mean /something. It actually is /more /than haircuts and
leather jackets. This is something /I /would like to do..." Our tour
ends in Richmond, an appropriate place for me to close this chapter of
my life as it was the city we emigrated to after deciding we were taking
our futures into our own hands and living our lives on our own terms. A
lot has happened since then, but the idea that it's never too late to
change your life is still very much alive.

If ever I wanted to be in a band, this was the one for me - I love our
little family, our shows, our fans, and our songs. That I can say this
makes me feel both lucky and proud. I would like to say a sincere "thank
you" to those I won't be seeing on this trip and solemn "goodbye" to
those I will never see again. Take care of each other out there.
