Here are some comments by people using SOULSPEAK GRIEF SUPPORT ". . . I have a fourth grader whose sister died in a car accident almost a year ago. Many of the regular counseling techniques were just not working. In the last three weeks, the only change in our working together has been using SOULSPEAK as a part of individual counseling. The change, well, it has been remarkable. This little girl is expressing herself, smiling, sharing her [SOULSPEAK] poems with her mom, which is beginning to open things up at home for her."

"I have been using SOULSPEAK on small groups of students in my RAINBOWS (grief counseling) groups . . . ALL students were able to reach deeply inside themselves . . K.B., Counselor....
...."It is remarkable how the [SOULSPEAK] process brings to the surface feelings and emotions that are in your subconscious . . . I feel this program could be beneficial to many participating in the grief support program.

SOULSPEAK GRIEF SUPPORT
is an outgrowth of our extensive SOULSPEAK Grief Counseling Programs for School Children and our SOULSPEAK Grief Support Programs at Hospices.
SOULSPEAK GRIEF SUPPORT can be used to help heal the grief associated with the physical death of a loved one, but also in emotional deaths, such as the kind of children experience in the divorce of parents. It can also be used for the deep grief associated with the death of pets.
This is because the SOULSPEAK Program views grief as a natural reaction of the soul, or feeling self, a part of us that doesn't draw any real distinction between the grief associated with a human death, an animal death or an emotional death.
They are all equally real to the soul, or the feeling self. The soul understands and accepts death for what it is: the door through which no one ever comes back. There is nothing as final as death. That is why the soul, the deepest part of us, grieves. It grieves for us.....
Because of the simplicity of the SOULSPEAK Program, and the fact it has no teachings per se save a few simple instructions that will allow you to speak from the soul, SOULSPEAK will complement and not interfere with any other program or steps you are taking to deal with your grief.
It is our belief (and our personal experience) thatthe soul, or feeling self, is the source of the devastating grief that we experience with the death of a loved. And that we have to bring our conscious self and soul together if we are to truly understand and accept death. ....
SOULSPEAK allows that joining to occur.
That is the primary concept behind the SOULSPEAK Program: that for us to pass out of grief into a wider acceptance of life, the soul has to speak, express its sadness. And to do this, the soul has to speak through us, the conscious self. It is the only way.
....It may help if you simply think of the soul as the other self, the feeling self that we can never really know, or control, as we can our conscious self.
It is the source all of our deeper emotions such as love and hate, and all of our intimations, visions, dreams, and awakenings. ....
The soul knows and understands death, and is acquainted with its night, as it is with the light of birth.
This is not to say that the soul has no feelings about death. It does. Those feelings can be immense and beyond our conscious ability to control them.

Today, in our modern world, many of us attempt to come to terms with death, and the loss of a loved one, solely though the efforts of the conscious self. We listen to music, read uplifting literature, remember the good and bad times, take long walks, talk to others about our loss.
While all of those are useful, we can still find ourselves paralyzed by grief. We are gripped by an unspeakable sadness, and find ourselves incapable of going forward in our lives. We become lost.....
Part of the reason we can become so lost is that we have jettisoned many of the older folkways for dealing with grief. After all, we are a thoroughly modern people, and who needs those communal, wailing, out-of-control grieving sessions we sometimes see in travelogues of third world countries. ....
But those sessions served a purpose: they honored the needs of the soul, they were ways of accessing the deeper self.

We may find it difficult, however, seeing ourselves participating in such a process, and simply dismiss it.
And really, let's face it, we can't go back.We do live in a different time.
But we can learn something from those folkways. And what we can learn is exactly what the SOULSPEAK program is saying: that the soul must be honored, must be allowed to speak of its sadness, if we are to be healed.
SOULSPEAK is a way we can do that.
The SOULSPEAK technique is learned simply by viewing the SOULSPEAK GRIEF SUPPORT Video Series, and then imitating what you have observed.
There are no lessons per se. After all, the ability to speak from the soul is already within us.
We have simply forgotten how. ....
The purpose of the videos is to reawaken that ability. THE SOULSPEAK GRIEF SUPPORT VIDEOS IN THE PROFILE SECTION ARE ALSO AVAILABLE IN FULL SCREEN, HIGH QUALITY DVD FORMAT.
THE COST IS $9.99 PLUS $3.45 SHIPPING AND HANDLING = $13.44 TOTAL.
