Well, April is just about here, which means our brief hiatus from the road is pretty much over. It's been great to be home more over the last few months - spending times with family and friends, being at our own church on Sunday, and waking up in our own beds. We won't be hitting the road hard until Sep, Oct, and Nov - and we'll be announcing all those dates soon. But over the coming weeks and months there's plenty of opportunities to come see us. Here's a quick look at April:

April 10 - The Woodlands, TX - FREE Good Friday concert with The Woodlands United Methodist Church - http://easter.twumc.org/main.html

April 17 and 18 - Los Angeles, CA - Fresh Wave events @ Ttokamsa Mission Church - http://www.thmcwave.com/

April 24 and 25 - Quad Cities, IA - FM419 event with the Billy Graham Association @ Harvest Bible Chapel - http://www.harvestdavenport.org/article.aspx?site_id=10198&article_id=148484

Hope you'll come out and see us next month!

Just wanted to post a quick message, passing along our thanks to all who came out and saw us play in 2008. As we look back, it was a really busy year. We did:

- one tour of Canada with Shane & Shane, Bethany Dillon, and David Nasser
- one US tour with that same great group of people
- a second tour of Canada with Will Graham and Johnny Parks Band
- one headline tour of the US with Above the Golden State opening up for us
- a total of 4 weeks worth of festivals and shows in the UK and Europe

Not to mention some great youth and youth worker conferences and individual concerts along the way. We're very thankful to all the churches and individuals who hosted us, to all the people who came out to the events, to all the bands and speakers we partnered with - but mostly to our Lord and Savior who gives us breath and life and grace and mercy.

Hello all - it's a sunny day here in Nashville, our old stomping grounds.  Playing at Trevecca University tonight and excited for a lot of friends to come to the show.

I want to make sure that all of you in the midwest haven't forgotten that we're coming to town.  Just because you're later in the tour doesn't mean you're any less special.  You simply had to wait your turn.  So in the coming week we've got shows in -

Englewood, NJ
Dayton, OH
Anderson, IN
Des Moines, IA
Minneapolis, MN
Davenport, IA

Tickets are still available in all these cities, but remember that the prices go up the day of the show.  Better to save a few bucks and buy early.

A new video will be posted soon, we promise.

Hello all - Monday greetings to you. What an amazing weekend in Corvallis, a surprise appearance in Portland, and then two great days with youth leaders and pastors in Sacramento. We got up early this morning and made a bit of an appearance on Air1's morning show, and then visited the folks at the FISH radio station in Sacramento. Now comes a little time to rest before the concerts pick back up later this week. And here's the lowdown on the week that is to come.....

Thursday night - Bakersfield, CA - we guarantee you can afford this ticket. Through a special arrangement with Valley Bible Fellowship, all the tickets for this show are free. Come one, come all.
Friday night - Westminster, CA - last we heard there were only 50 or so tickets left on this show. If you're wanting to go, you should probably call, like, right now.
Saturday night - Chandler, AZ - tickets are available for this show. We're really hoping a lot of Dare2Share friends from the past come out to this show - call and get your tickets today!

Looking ahead to next week, Colorado Springs and Denver are both shaping up nicely - we're so excited so many of you have already picked up tickets. And so continues our trek across the US. Hard to believe that over the next 3 weeks we'll be traveling all the way to East to New Jersey. So exciting.

So today is band rehearsal for us. Putting final touches on the songs and stuff like that.We leave for Oregon tomorrow - going to get in the night before so that we get a good night of sleep before the first show on Thursday.

We're really excited about Corvallis - home of Oregon State University! We're getting word that some of the campus ministries are going to be joining us, as well as a lot of individual churches who have seen us at youth conferences but never in concert. There are still tickets available, so you're not too late. Just remember that the price goes up a little if you wait and buy them at the door, so you might look into buying them today or tomorrow.

Come on, Oregon! Come out and have a great evening with us this Thursday!

Happy Friday to all - Tim here writing from sunny British Columbia. The northwest is amazing this time of year. I'd invite all of you over for a cookout, but I need to change out the propane canister for my grill and it'd be embarrassing to have thousands of people over with no food. Maybe another time.
But that's not why I'm writing you today. I'm talking about our first-ever headline US tour. I love typing that. We've opened for great bands in our career and have loved all the youth conferences and worship conferences, but there's something about going out with our own sound and lighting and ideas and songs and all of that. And we're taking out a great opener - Above the Golden State - from Portland, OR. We're very excited.

I do have a couple things I'd like to plug, while I've got your attention:
1 - We're hitting a lot of cities, so check out the tour schedule at myspace, at starfieldonline.com, or in "Events" at Facebook.
2 - If you're a Facebook person - join "The Official Starfield Group", add Tim Neufeld (that's me!) from Vancouver as a friend, and RSVP to whichever concert might be in your area.
3 - check out the invitation video we posted at myspace and youtube. And not to be too Facebook crazy, but Jon posted his own video on there, too.

So that's a good update for now. I'll write more once I figure out the details for our cookout together.
Tim

We're excited to learn that Starfield has quite a few nominations for the Covenant Awards this year! The Covenants are the Canadian version of the Dove Awards, so this is a big honor for us. Here are the nominations:
Praise & Worship Song of the Year - "Reign In Us"
Modern Worship Album of the Year
Recorded Song of the Year - "Hosanna"
Album of the Year
Group of the Year
Artist of the Year
Just thought we'd share the good news! We'll let you know in October if we happen to win any of them.

OK, this is the third time I've written this blog. The first one was emotional and exciting. The second one was a little frustrated but funny. But for some reason the little gnomes who live in the internets and post my words didn't care for those blogs, as they disappeared as soon as I hit 'post'. So now I'm typing this a third time, and all creativity is gone. So I'm resorting to bullet points:
- we're on a break from rehearsing in Ontario. We've added a bunch of new gear to the live show, so we're breaking it all in. Like kids with new toys.
- we posted a new video from our time in Europe earlier this month. We expect only a small percentage of you are going to get the Stonehenge reference from Spinal Tap, but we think it's hilarious.
- tickets are sold out on the first three Canada shows, and selling fast on all the others. Hope all our friends in ON, SK, and AB, pick up tickets this week before they're sold out. If you go to uniteproductions.com you can buy tickets online, or get a list of Christian bookstores in your area that have tickets.
So that's it. Hope the gnomes are more satisfied with this post than my previous efforts.

I know, I know....some of you in Ohio right now are saying "Enough Canada, already!", as we've done a lot of Canadian events this year. Of course, we're Canadian...these things happen. We don't get on your case for doing stuff in Ohio. Glad that's settled.

(And besides, maybe we're coming to Ohio later this year?)

So we're doing another short run of Canada dates next month, and tickets are flying fast. We'd like to believe it's all because of us but the reality is we're traveling with great people. Will Graham, the grandson of Billy Graham, is going to be with us speaking each night. We're thrilled about this and the great relationship we've developed with the Graham Association over the last year.

We've also got Johnny Parks coming with us to open - this is a very good thing. Johnny is an incredible artist out of Ireland - a gifted communicator and songwriter who you're going to absolutely love.

A big thing to note - the venues we're playing on this run are not huge. If you're wanting to come we really recommend buying your tickets now. First of all, they're less expensive than if you buy at the door. Second of all, there probably aren't going to be any tickets at the door, which will make it very difficult to get in. Some would say impossible.

Here's the URL to see all the cities, venues, ticket info, posters, etc and so on. See you in Canada.
