I'll still post things here to myspace but that is where the long or detailed (I can't sleep in the middle of the night) blogs will go.
I just needed a place where I wouldn't feel censored.

I just put up a LONG blog about the Spirits in the Sky tour I did with Billy Corgan, Dave Navarro, Mike Byrne, Kerry Brown, Mark Tulin, Mark Weitz, Ysanne Spevack, Kevin Dippold + Kristin Burns & Kat Turner.

I'm gonna go out to Chicago next week! It has been a couple years since I was there so I'm very excited.

well, I've been sick as hell since last saturday. the suspicion is maybe swine flu but i didn't bother to go to the dr. all i know is that i was probably the sickest i've ever felt. i  really looked like death on tues.
i am starting to feel better today.. finally.
it sucks to have lost a week of time! i literally couldn't do a single thing. so today I'm starting to play catch up.

tomorrow I hope I can go down to the art space and start catching up. There is so much going on right now and I love all of it.
When we get more of the space in order I will post up pictures.
I'm sharing the space with beautiful designer Ali Barone who has a line called Lipstick Prophets (lipstickprophets.com)
We are in the heart of downtown Los Angeles in the fashion district.Its paradise for someone who loves to make things. They have everything you can think of down there. There is even a hat making supply store right next to us. I can't wait to get in on some hat making.

UGH!! so frustrated with myspace now. Its blocking everything I'm trying to link right now. They are going to alienate everyone.

i'm going to start blogging on my site  @ lindastrawberry.com or lindastrawberryblog.com daily but its not set up yet. I want to start ranting all these things in my head again on a regular basis.
If you follow my twitter you can probably follow the basic train of thought i've been on but its only bits and pieces of my thoughts.
Last night justin and i sat around talking about the universe for an hour. He was telling me how NASA created the most perfect sphere (only off by 40 atoms) so that they could send it up into space to perform tests to determine the exact curvature of spacetime.
That led me down all kinds of brain melting paths. We were talking about the current calculated age of our universe..(14 billion years) and how it all suddenly sprang into existence. The age of our galaxy is estimated by the oldest star in discovery which is around 13.2 billion years - nearly as old as the universe itself.
it is now accepted that at the center of nearly every universe is a super massive blackhole. they estimate that the one at the center of our own Milky Way is 4.1 billion solar masses in size. (!!!!) i'm totally fascinated with supermassive black holes. they terrify me.

well, this just led me to lay there on the floor thinking of how miniscule we are. its always a good thing when i fall on this train of thought because it all put things in perspective. all the little things stressing me out suddenly become ridiculously small!
its freeing.
I don't want to be a part of the mass media's dumbing down. I wish i could count how many times i have heard the term "lowest common denominator" in reference to appealing to the masses. I have decided just to completely ignore this idea. its idiotic. Why should i dumb myself or anything i'm doing down? where is the challenge in that? what is there to aspire to? its a creativity killer. I am so annoyed by the culture we are in. I don't care about the Kardashians, Jon & Kate, the Hills etc.
i DO love shows like Project Runway that showcase real talent (like Louise Black www.twitter.com/louiseblack)
I am not going to do anything less that the best I think i'm capable of anymore. These moments we are living are all drops in a giant ocean anyway. why be afraid of anything? our lights should shine as brightly as possible.

I was up really late feeling really happy and joyful about stuff going on. But i paid for it today when i had to wake up - fight the tylenol pm haze and go piano shopping.
I am moving my art into a new artspace with Ali Barone. We've been painting and moving the last couple of days.
I'm working around the clock to get my life back in organized form. its all so chaotic right now. which i thrive in but isn't good for progress.

I've been working really hard on what's next in strawberryland. we've got big plans. my web series is in development. we are going to record new songs.. etc.

its a fragile day. my emotions are ping pong balls jumping all over the place effortlessly. im sitting here on the floor thinking and trying to be productive. putting off the outward appearance of calm. i look tired. tired eyes. the weight of my world leaning on the lids.
im alright. im just letting some new shit pass through the conduit. it births new outrageous ideas.
it used to be that when i got this feeling id get drunk stay drunk and be nuts.;)  now im still nuts just more sober. more calm.
i can recognize when the things stressing me are out of my control. my life is wonderful. i am just sad. the age of anxiety makes us second guess every little thing we do or feel. the so called self help industry would have us quoting nonsense at each other and pretending we aren't feeling. "that everythings fine 'cue smile with gritted teeth'" i don't subscribe. i think passion is good. throw something, scream, yell, cry.. be petulant. they are just a valid of emotions. tell people to get out of your space. don't call back. do what it is you are feeling. if its the truth then that's the best place to start from.
not to say to take your feeling out on other people carelessly but if you bottle all that stuff up its going to give you cancer or an ulcer or you'll get so far out of touch with yourself that every day will be a monotonous walking death  or slowly you turn into mount st helens - one day blow up - cut your hair - blow up your life and have to start from scratch. know what i mean?
like midlife crisis. people get so good at censoring themselves and not giving certain dirty or messy parts of themselves oxygen that one day they just freak out. its better just to lay it all out there.. life is messy sometimes, life is painful sometimes. we all feel anxiety that things aren't right, that we aren't good enough, that things would be different if (fill in the blank).. that if we could go back and change (fill in the blank) it would be different. its not true. life is a mess. you have to give something to get something.
not that anything in particular is making me need to write this, i know that now.. i don't worry about it.. its just a feeling. just the pain of love and the pain of life becoming more acute.
im working on so much stuff that i love to do. at the end of the month i get to go on an adventure with some of my favorite people. i have an amazing husband and an amazing family. i try to focus on these things til i dig back out.
i've just always had these blue moods. i go deep down into the abyss to purge it from me again. its always been this way. its just part of what i am.
for a few days every once in a while my world goes black. i go into a coma. its where my best ideas have been born.
its why i have my phoenix tattoo.
speaking of tattoos im dying to get another one.. have any of you gotten any new tattoos recently? link pictures so i can be jealous of you..
