"DAY OUT OF TIME" AT RED ROCKS IS JUST UNDER THREE WEEKS AWAY!




STS9's highly anticipated Colorado run, July 24 at the Fillmore Auditorium and July 25th at Red Rocks, is a just under three weeks away!  The "Day Out of Time" celebration will commence over three days, in nearly a half dozen venues and feature upwards of twenty different musical acts.

The fun starts on Thursday July 23rd, with BONOBO (LIVE) headlining the OFFICIAL STS9 PRE-PARTY at Denver's Ogden Theatre with special guests Big Gigantic. 

The next night, July 24th, STS9 headlines the Fillmore Auditorium in Denver, with special guests Lipp Service featuring Eliot Lipp and members of Pnuma Trio.  After the Fillmore head to the Official STS9 After Party at the Gothic Theatre featuring Eskmo, Emancipator and more.

Then, on July 25th, STS9 headlines Red Rocks Amphitheatre with a slew of special guests on TWO stages!  Artists include Pretty Lights, Pnuma Trio, Flying Lotus, The Album Leaf, Telepath, Daedelus, Nosaj Thing and Bass Science. 


Afterwards, Flying Lotus, Samiyam, Ras G and Lorn storm the Gothic for the Official After Party.

"Let's build a house!"

That was what the members of STS9 unanimously and collectively decided, it seemed, without saying a word to one another last November while visiting the Lower 9th Ward in the great city of New Orleans. The band's tour stopped through The Crescent City in the fall of 2008 just over 3 years after Hurricane Katrina left her indelible mark. What they found was a spectacular collision of failure and triumph. A catastrophic break-down of a system that often moralized perfection and protection being held up, only, by the ineradicable love and will of it's people to look forward and attempt to make things right.

During a day off the members of STS9 had arranged to help deliver food which they had collected, with the help of their generous fans, at each stop of their tour. The band were welcomed with open arms and even invited in for dinner to one of the many trailers so many called home. There they met families, friends and neighbors all sharing in one unfortunate common denominator. To say the experience was humbling is an under statement. It was life changing. It was with this visit STS9 began to manifest what we are so proud to announce today. An example of people helping people because we can, and quite simply, should. An effort that honors the people of a city so rooted in music, art and celebration and reminds us all there is still hope and determination to complete what we all know needs finishing. The rebuilding of New Orleans.

DAY OUT OF TIME / RED ROCKS UPDATES






STS9's highly anticipated Colorado run, July 24 at the Fillmore Auditorium and July 25th at Red Rocks, is a just under a month away!  The “Day Out of Time” celebration will commence over three days, in nearly a half dozen venues and feature upwards of twenty different musical acts.




The fun starts on Thursday July 23rd, with BONOBO (LIVE) headlining the OFFICIAL STS9 PRE-PARTY at Denver’s Ogden Theatre with special guests BIG GIGANTIC.  

 

The next night, July 24th, STS9 headlines the Fillmore Auditorium in Denver, with special guests Lipp Service featuring Eliot Lipp and members of Pnuma Trio.  After the Fillmore head to the Official STS9 After Party at the Gothic Theatre featuring Eskmo, Emancipator and more.




Then, on July 25th, STS9 headlines Red Rocks Amphitheatre with a slew of special guests on TWO stages!  Artists include Pretty Lights, Pnuma Trio, Flying Lotus, The Album Leaf, Telepath, Daedelus, Nosaj Thing and Bass Science.  Afterwards, Flying Lotus, Samiyam, Ras G and Lorn storm the Gothic for the Official After Party.
