FUCKING CHRISTIANS
I was stopped about 3 times Halloween night, handed literature to the effect of, I'm a bad person, come to the Berean Baptist Church or go to hell. Naturally I laughed jovially at the silly christians. "Silly Christians," I said "Its halloween tonight, there's a sweet show at MJ's why not come get drunk with me?" Of course I knew they would decline, for the chance to look smug and self aggrandizing is there drug of choice. "Oh no I don't drink, blah blah I love Jesus blah blah." And I thought nothing else of it. And I thought all was fine. Then I check the election results this morning and I realize those sneaking fucking Christians weren't just out there "saving souls" They were out there capturing the hearts and the minds of the voters.
How is it that a state that could amend its constitution to add sex orientation as a protected civil right, really just go and do something that takes their rights away. By voting yes to repeal the state legislatures decision to allow gay marriage, we have essentially allowed something unconstitutional to pass. And in essence what is the problem, its religious. Those people don't want gays marrying at their church. Well their church has all rights to not allow gays to marry there. This is a legal issue.
I talked to my parents about this and was a little shocked to hear that they were siding with the neocons. My father actually told me, he doesn't care if gays have equal rights to "marry" eachother, and have all of the benefits of that institution, but he objected to calling it marriage. I about shit my self. thats it, thats the issue. And all I could think is, man christians are fucking stupid. and this morning I repeated the same thing. Not even my father thought this was going to turn out in his favor.
But there are somethings to be thankful for. While the conservatives put all there resources into crusading against the gays, they dropped the ball on mary jane. Mainers have voted to expand the number of ailments medical marijuana is good for, and authorized dispenseries, with a very large margin. Which just goes to show we love to get high here in maine. Next stop legalization and taxation. which would piss off the TABOR people who lost, again, and have sworn to bring the question back to the people, again, unfortunately. Fucking idiots

Work has begun on a new album. Its based on the deaths of celebrities through the past year. Each track name is inspired from the way which each celebrity has died. So far I have bass tracks for songs based on Michael Jackson, Patrick Swayze, and David Carradine. The tracklist so far is
"Mike's Propofolic Nightmare"
"Pat's Pain in the Pancreas"
"Kang's autoerotic fantasy machine"

I'm working on lyrics, and project to be finished before thanksgiving.
stay tuned

Thanks to Jeff Grainger, Subversive Intentions will be expanding to new radio territory. He requested some music from me to play on one of his upcoming shows. I have some new material that I will be sending him as soon as it is available, probably this weekend. More details as they arrive.

Thanks to my friend pat I have liberated from layaway my new BOSS 20xl loop station. I have already written some new stuff with it, and I've only been playing for an hour. But this brings more excitement than just new songs, it also means I can take this thing live now. So if you wanna see SI up in person, invite me to play at a show. Please!!!

So hip hop artist Alalu (I.) is is going to remix a song by me. You should keep up to date with both to find out details.
Also
I'm make a bit of a creative change. I have since beginning SI gained an appreciation for the bass guitar. So I'm planning on focusing more of my work with SI oriented toward the Bass guitar. Its still gonna be noisey, and will probably be more noisey. but may involve a little more structure and a little bit of jazz. I hope you all enjoy

So I bought my first hip-hop/Rap album. I was once a fan of this genre, but after I delved into rock, metal, punk, hardcore, and avant garde electronics, rap didn't hold any interest for me. Until I browsed on over to the Ipecac Records website, and it was streaming Dalek's new album Gutter Tactics. Instantly it brought to mind Eno/Byrnes pioneer hip-hop-esque master piece My Life in the Bush of the Ghost.
This album features droney guitar and fiery political/social critic lyrics. So naturally I got inspired. My newest song "Current Affairs" illustrates this notion. I will be working this concept out, using mostly the built in instruments of Garage Band, but I will also add some noise via dictaphone. It should be fun. Though this is no way should be taken as a rap album. I appreciate what people like dalek can do percussively with their voice, but I have no desire to acquire those skills this late in my life. Instead I will overlay several of the tracks with spoken word. I'm still working out a concept and the current track I have posted may resurface with words added.
I hope you enjoy
keep it subversive
