There's a new book about tattoo artists out and it's in Spanish!
For some weird reason they loved my artwork and there's two alternative covers and I'm on both of them!

I was back in New Jersey, tattooing at Electric Tattoo in Bradley Beach. My first and biggest day was Easter Sunday. My clients came all the way from New York and they brought me an easter basket (with lots of candy) vegan chocolate/mint cupcakes, oatmeal chocolate chip cookies and a picnic lunch!

Those last three I did the first day! We finished around 11pm. I think all that candy helped!

Here's a nurse I did on Laney last year:

And here's what we added this year. It goes all the way around, but we didn't quite finish:

I finally finishe Jason! I did everything but the lettering. We finished this piece in three sitiings. That's because Jason is a stud and can sit for up to 8 hours!

Uncle Allan's wife Amalie, made me this hat and gave me lots of maps and tips for Tokyo. Photo by Uncle Allan.

A lovely print by Oldani who works with Davide Andreoli. And a tile with his art too!

Plus two prints by Morg who will be in an art show with me (and Angelique Hootcamp) at Mondo Bizarro in Rome in May! I love her art!

2009 was a really great convention!!!
I did mostly cupcakes, candycanes and butterflies. I tattooed no boys this year! Too bad for me ;)

The 69niners played. It was a funny concert with a group of crazy american rednecks in the audience, that I was trying to figure out what in the hell they were doing in Italy!

Here's me with Davide and his beautiful wife. No photos of his adorable kids and the super panther tattoo he did sunday with family portraits in roses which won 2nd place - best of show. Don't you just hate when you think of the great photo opportunities after the fact?

And here's a photo of the bowling pin Kristen Eastrope painted for me for a trade! I'm so lucky!

Happy New Year everyone! The Tattoo Convention in Berlin this year was great! I did a lot of fun tattoos, saw my customers from last year and went to some great after parties! Trinity was helping me out in my booth, taking pictures and acting as translator.

Here's a photo of the pirate girl finally getting her tattoo finished.

Friday night's after party was this really terrific band called Bonaparte. My friend and client Loulou was one of the performers. I did his heart tattoo. Here's a few backstage photos.

Some onstage photos: (Bonaparte)

Saturday I worked on Chrissy again, we still have a least one more session.

Some other Berlin tattoos:

Trinity got this tattoo at the convention. Her band the Crybabies played at Wild at Heart on Saturday. It was so cute, her butterfly girl does a Betty Boop dance when she plays guitar!!!

Check out Trinity's cute mini sailor hat that she bought at the convention!

Some tattoos I did in Paris recently:

And last but not least, some photos from my vacation in Morroco!

I'm crazy about those candy striped curbs!

I arrived in Los Angeles in early October and immediately started eating junk food. Me and my best friend made this cake from an old Betty Crocker recipe book. Didn't get good a good picture when it was cut, but it makes a checkerboard inside.

We went to Disneyland and it was all decorated for Day of the Dead and Halloween. The haunted mansion had it's Nightmare Before Xmas decorations which I thought were pretty great! I'm so glad that The Enchanted Tiki Room was saved and refurbished!

One of my big projects this trip was to go up to Grass Valley and get all my stuff out of storage. I drove it all back to LA to go through and sort everything. I gave away a lot to friends and I sold a bunch. I sold my beloved circus poster because I guess I'll never have an appartment large enough again to display it. I imagine I will have some regrets one day, but when you've got to pay oversees shipping, you've got to make sacrifices.

We visited San Diego and Chinatown LA.

We spent four days at Budget Rock festival, where we celebrated Russell's 50th b-day, met No Bunny and I got a haircut by Tina at Down at Lulu's. We got to taste the new flavors of Mountain Dew, yummy!

We only got to visit San Francisco for two days, but it was really fantastic! The Beat Museum.

Also visited my old stompin' grounds in Petaluma.

All in all most everything I wanted to do got done!

I went to go visit my mother who lives in San Miguel. It's the first time I experienced Day of the Dead in Mexico.

Sugar Skulls and Sheep!

The Katrina Parade.

Marketplace in San Miguel del Allende.

My mom.

The town square reminds me of Disneyland.

Someone had a beautiful Valliant.

Cute dogs!

We went to the graveyard on Nov 1st. It was crazy! Nearly every grave was surrounded by family and decorated with flowers. I dared not take a photo, we were the only non mexicans there and I felt like an intruder. Noone treated us like that, but I just wanted to be respectful...

Here's my mom in Mexico city at the National building where we saw the Diego Rivera murals.

I took a cab looking for the Doloras Olmeda museum, but the cab dropped me off at the Diego Rivera museum. Lucky mistake. Diego Rivera had this building constructed, but died before it's completion. His collection of pre Columbian art is displayed there.

The church at the Zopola.

We visited Frida's house and Leon Trotsky's too.

The Doloras Olmeda Museum is in a 16th century hacienda, which was her home. There were peacocks running around and these crazy hairless mexican dogs which look like sculpture!
