Sorry for the late update. I really was going to write one every day, but eventually I just got lazy. Plus, the first 2 weeks of a low carb diet is no joke. By taking carbs out of your system you pretty much are starving your brain too, so your reactions to things are a little slower and you energy level goes way down. So I just found myself in front of the tv a lot. Not snacking in front of the tv....thank goodness. That was my favorite passtime 18 days ago.....mmmm....spicy nacho cheese doritos....with jalepenos and sour cream and frank's red hot sauce.....oh it's good.....trust me. The toilet room is my other favorite room in the house. All my books are there.
For most of the spring semester I spent a lot of time post processing images and lost lots of valuable tv time. My DVR is a lifesaver. Without it I would always wonder if Meredith and Derrick ever get married or if Sam and Dean stopped Lucifer from rising out of hell or what crazy medical procedure they were going to let House get away with next......so I'm happy to be catching up on all of that....plus it's Pilot season, so I'm enjoying all the new shows their coming up with....I'm really liking the Listener....about a guys that can hear everyone's thoughts.....and then he saves the world.....but what makes it really worth watching is he has dreamy eyes and looks good in a uniform.
Anyway, not to say there was nothing interesting to report on all those days that you missed out on because....lets just face it....my life is always interesting.....you missed out my sister's graduation......on me going to marci's party and having lots of sangria....and my parent's acting crazy and trying to call the cops on eachother.......oh and the wedding yesterday where I had some homemade enchiladas, but I don't like to concentrate on the past so we're going to fast forward 14 days into the future.
Lets see......today I woke up at 9:30ish. Checked my email and myspace. Actually, I'm so addicted that before I even get out of bed, when I'm checking the time, I pick up my phone and check my email and then myspace....and eventually when I get up fifteen minutes later I check it again. I'm telling you, if you don't have a myspace.....DONT GET ONE. It will RUIN you.
I make coffee.....and proceed to sit down on my couch where I watch MTV for half the day. Then around 2ish I go to target to return something, got $72.00 bucks back and then ended up spending like $170.00. Why oh why does going in for toilet paper mean you need to buy the whole store? I don't know.....
While walking around the store I start to realize I'm feeling pretty lightheaded and realized that I haven't ate anything all day and it's already 3pm. So I get home and spoil my pups with treats I got from the store and then have some soup and watch the rerun of the VMAs. Of which, I have to say, (....and no one bite my head off) I am as much a fan of TWILIGHT as any other person....and yes I love Robert Pattison (he's a wonderful Edward and has an amazing smile...and I have read all 4 books...so I am a huge fan)....but really....winning every award was a little over kill....SLUMDOG MILLIONARIE was a much better movie...and I think it deserved a little bit of credit......I mean, I love the tragic tale of a vampire with a soul who falls in love with a vampire slayer....(wait, I think that's Angel)....it's classic....but the story of a vampire falling in love with a human.....I mean, how many times has it been told already.....and it never works out.....because they have sex and he loses his soul and becomes evil and then she marries Freddie Prince Jr.....but I digress.
Around 530 I go to capital park for and engagement shoot and now it's nearing the end of the day. I haven't worked out yet, but I did go on a 2 mile walk and had fish for dinner.....so at least it wasn't a total lost.....but anyway, now I must look at images from a wedding I did two weeks ago.....so I'll talk to you tomorrow....or 14 days later.....we'll see. Night.

Yesterday I woke up worried because I had a wedding later that day and still I didn't know where I was suppose to go. I called the bride the day before, but still have not received a response. Soooo, I chowed down with some beef jerky to calm my nerves. Beef Jerky from my beef jerky machine, I should mention. Yes I make beef jerky. I bought the dehydrator a few months back. You have no idea how much it actually cost to make beef jerky. Almost as much as it is to buy it. When I first bought the thing I thought about how great it would be to have beef jerky around at all times. It would be heaven, since I am a big fan of beef jerky and find myself spending as much on it as coffee. But then I would start to make beef jerky one night and eat it all the next day and then find myself running to the store to buy more beef to make more beef jerky to feed my addiction. It wasn't healthy so I stopped going to the store. Plus, I was becoming broke from buying so much beef. Hmmm....clothes or beef jerky? Definitely clothes. Clothes or starbucks? Definitely.....starbucks. Haha. Pretty sad.
So later, sometime mid morning morning I worked out. See Marci....I did work out in the morning this weekend. Hi-five! And I threw a few squats in there just to change it up, since my butt is looking a little flabby. Finally, the bride calls me back. I finish working out, I shower and get ready to drive to Suisun City for this wedding. I get there five minutes late because mapquest sucks and I forgot to get gas, but at least I didn't have to go up any mountains. I hate those. But that's okay because they started and hour late.....and it was the most unorganized BORING wedding I've ever been to, but hey I got paid and they had some good catered BBQ food.....and lots and lots of POTATO SALAD....mmmmm mayonnaise and carbs.....but since now it is day 5 of my diet it is getting easier and easier to resist such yummy temptations. I had some tri-tip, chicken, fruit and salad. ...and today was a pretty good day too. I started off with a walk with my sister. Got ready to go to an engagement shoot. ....but around this time on my diet I start to get lightheaded from the lack of carbs. Being out in the sun and heat doesn't help. Luckily I have been here before last year when I was on a diet for my wedding and have learned that yogurt really helps with that. So when I got home I edited some photos, had lots of water and had a yogurt while I caught up on the last season of Supernatual. Jensen Ackles is sooo HAWT. I'm so hungry that I could eat him. Jensen accompanied me while I worked out.....and probably later on when I get in the shower. :) j/k....I'm married, Jensen....I mean, really my husband doesn't fight off demons and save the world....or wears leather jackets....or has quirky comebacks...but I love him anyway.
Okay, I'm gonna go cheat now and have a glass of milk with some mocha mix.....more tomorrow.
Sorry I couldn't find one with him naked.

I missed my morning run again. I'm telling you. Me, mornings, bad. Plus, running. Are you kidding?
So again I edited photos and burned a couple CDs.
I took my "pill" and like had two glasses of water. Shhhh....marci...lalala.....i can't hear you.
Had a bowl of "Special K" cereal with my cup of coffee. Well the commercial says it works.....so it must be true, right? right?
I made my own ghetto mocha today.....could've left the house 5 minutes early....if it were not for this mocha....1 cup coffee, 1 cup milk, 1 table spoon of chocolate mocha syrup in a reusable starbucks cups.....shhh...looks just like the real thing....my stomach won't know the difference.
When I got in my car I realized I didn't have any gas so I cursed my mocha and the fact that I KNEW I should've gotten it last night on my way home, but noooooooo....I was too lazy and now i'm cursing my fake starbucks mocha and driving 85 mph to Rancho Cordova. I get there in like 20 minutes. One minute late.....but hey I was really in the building on time....I just didn't get to my desk on time, that counts right? Man, I really need a make-your-own-hours job.
Had yogurt again. I always buy yogurt, but I never eat it. I swear I throw away yogurt all the time.....well, after it's been sitting in my fridge for like 6 months....but they never get eaten because I always say I'm gonna eat more healthy....and I never do. I bought 4 yogurts over the weekend and I'm happy to say 2 of which is not in the trash, but in my tummy.
At 11ish, I'm jittery. Like I have a freaking buzz from my pill and too much caffeine. And I've had like a gazillion cups of water. Every hour I say to myself, OMG! I have to pee. Hurry person and get off the phone so I can pee for gawd sakes. I say, "Okay, well thank you for calling (gotta pee) , you have a VERY (gotta pee) NICE day." OMG I gotta pee! I rush to the bathroom before I piss my pants. Of which I have done before because I have the weakest bladder in the world due to my past urinary tract infections.....but anyway.....
A little bit before work ends I realized that my sister is graduating high school. Well, I knew she was, but it really hit me. OMG, she's getting old. OMG, I'm getting old. Then I start to wonder when her last day of school was and how it would be nice if I could surprise her with something so....on the spur of the moment (a good/bad habit that I have, doing things in the moment, I have no patience and I never stop to think things over. It has bitten me in the ass on several occasions like having typos on important things like my business cards...grrr....spontaneouism)....I decide to get her a cookie bouqet basket.....and while the lady was putting together my basket she asked if I wanted to FREE cookie....OMG! FREE!....
....and I paused for like 10 SECONDS and say, "No, I'm on a diet." and she say, "good for you!" SLAM DUNK! Diet 2 pts.....yummy delicious craving of soft chocolate chip morsols 0 pts? I don't feel like I'm winning somehow.....
When I get home my sisters come over so we can walk our dogs. We go on like a 1 1/2 mile walk....then I come home and snuggle with my couch....feed the pups, make dinner.....AND.....WAIT.....wait for it.....it was healthy too. Salad, chicken (no bread), and an orange. Can you believe it.....mmmm....I have a carton of mint chocolate chip in the freezer....it has nothing to do with nothing....but it's in the back of mind.....just so you know
DRINK WATER.
Run for a mile. Go pee, drink water, jump rope, chunchies, drink water, jump rope, drink water, walk on incline 1 mile, drink water, jump rope, drink water, go pee, shower, drink water, write this blog, drink water.....

So last week I decided to go a on diet. Well, I've been contemplating this for about a month, but just never got around to it and then my friend Marci was going on and on about this whole fitness kick thing she's been having so I thought after I have fully gorged memorial day weekend I well do it. So Marci's thing is working out in the morning, "I swear, it will give you more energy throughout the day."
:::make face::: I'm skeptical. I'm not a morning person. I hate mornings. I worked at a job for three years where I woke up every day at 6am and every single day for three years I had to snooze my alarm at least five times and then slowly and painfully dragged myself out of bed.
I still do, but not as bad since I no longer have to wake up so early. So last night I said to myself, I'm gonna wake up at 8, run a mile or two take shower, have some coffee and be just in time to leave for work.
...and this morning. I woke up at 6:30am to pee. Thought....hmmm...this is good I'm early.....Climbed back into bed didn't look at my alarm again unitl 8:30am and shrugged. I guess the running isn't gonna happen and went back to sleep.
Luckily I woke up around 9:05 make some coffee with some vanilla nut creamer and edited some photos instead.
I texted Marci, tried to run this morning. Couldn't get out of bed so I ran in my sleep instead.
She said, good luck with that.
I said, well, I didn't lose any weight, but I'm well rested.
I took a yogurt to work with me. So that gave me something to play with until break time in which I decided to go to starbucks. I LOVE COFFEE! I can go every crazy diet imaginable, but I will never cut out coffee. I would just die!
"I will have a ICED VENTI (YIKES!) MOCHA (Goodbye diet, maybe tomorrow) NONFAT NO WHIP (Whew! I saved myself, there is still hope.)"
So then after work I bought some diet pills.....stop looking at me like that....don't judge me. I have no will power. I need them.....really....
By the time I came home at 5pm I was so hungry I "snacked" on some turkey, chicken nuggets (breaded chicken doesn't count in my diet book apparently), and an orange before my dinner of a salmon with some garlic butter lemon and soy sause....and the whole time I thought about pasta.
After dinner I sorta sat around on my couch and watch tv for a couple of hours, including the hills....and other various shows until I finally I got my ass up and took out my running shoes.
I ran for about 1/2 a mile and took an intermission to take a poop and then ran another 1 and 1/2 miles. I don't even know how I run 2 miles, since the whole time (even though the tv was on with a sorta interesting show) I was thinking just one more minute on this speed time....okay 30 seconds...okay ten seconds....and that went around in a full circle until I reached 2 miles.
After that I jumped roped, did a small amount of crunchies, some more jump rope....and now I'm sitting here thinking about something to snack on...chips perhaps...I love chips......I'm hopeless I tell you.

Things I learned from this wedding1. Backyards make beautiful backdrops! 2. Groomsmens like to pee on walls? 3. Picture booths are a great accessory for any event! Also, thanks to my second shooter Christine for getting some fantastic images. Enjoy the sneak peek of their event!
