As April 14th draws nearer and neare I am becoming more and more anxious. I have been waiting and waiting for Jessica Darling's final chaper to come to a close. I have rather mixed emotions about it. I've been reading about her life since I was nearly about 13 or 14 and the books have meant more to me than anyone could possibly know.

They helped me get through some rather tough years in high school - with surgeries and other various challenges. Jessica (Notso) Darling has been one of my dearest friends. She made me mad at times, but looking back after a period I learned not to fault her. I wonder, am I ready to say good by to her?

I was able to get my other friends and my sisters hooked on the series as well. And I've enjoyed being able to share my love for the series with them.

As I draw near the end of my university career it seems almost fitting that Jessica's story is coming to a close. Someone who helped me get through it all will no longer be there...and I'm okay with that. Something I've learned is to "hold on tightly, but let go lightly" and I think that it works rather well in this case.

So, please, read the series and go and get Perfect Fifths on April 14!

Hello Everyone,
Been a long time since I've posted anything. Haven't really had a reason to blog about anything. Until today that is!
The publication of the final book in Megan McCafferty's book series (Jessica Darling series) is nearly a month away (April 14th 2009!) and because of that she is having various contests. Winners recieve advanced copies of the book. Now I really want that book and I would rather not wait, so I am going to try and win.
The rules are simple, write senryu (haiku 5-7-5) for each of the books: Sloppy Firsts, Second Helpings, Charmed Thirds, and Fourth Comings. Then, you have to write a 5th one expressing your feelings about the final book (Perfect Fifths) coming out.

There you have it. I struggle with writing this, but I am very happy with the outcome. Now, cross your fingers for me!
