Another Reminder to keep an eye on the Tater blog! It changes.... It moves.... Ok it doesn't really move but that sounded fun to say.

This Saturday we have two shows in a row for you to see! At 12:00pm we will be playing at Colonial Beach, and then at 7:30pm we have another show at Kinsale Marina! This should be a fun weekend, and we will hope to see some of you out there!

On another note, we have been working hard in the Slipped Disc making the new Tater CD! Craig Tater just spent some time in there yesterday in fact! Almost done now...

Well Tater people, it's time for another update. So far nothing really fun has been going on (although it's nice to hear the sounds coming from the studio). We are still working on fixing this site up a bit, making it look nicer, adding new songs, all that good stuff. These past few weeks have been hard to find time in to spend on here, but I am working on it. This page will be much better soon. Trust me.

As always, you should keep an eye on the Tater blog. It's full of fun and wonder! And writings.

So that's all for now, but I shall keep you all informed of any goings-on that should be mentioned here.

See you next time! Same Bat-time, same Bat-channel!

Ok so I may have gotten that bit wrong. I was meaning to say Happy New Year!

Ok. I said it right this time.

So Tater fans, have we all been checking the TOB*? (hint, hint) There's even a video with the biggest banjo in the world on the page right now...

Well to keep people updated, all has been well in the land of Taters, we were able to start off the new year with a bang while doing what we do best- playing music!
We had some... potential problems as we were driving to the show, but no one was hurt and everything was set up on time and the show went on without a hitch. After the show we went our separate ways, some staying at the hotel provided for us to spend the night in by the helpful folks at Winchester First Night, some went home again home again jiggy jig jig, and a few stayed at a friend's house for the night and came back the next afternoon. All in all it was a good show, lots of very friendly people running the event, the only downside was the 28° weather and almost 40mph winds. Brrr….

So anyways Tater folks, have a good end of the weekend, and we hope to see you soon out at a show near you!

There are a few new posts on the official Tater blog, here is a bit of one of them:

All the Whos down in Who-ville

Another unexpected and much appreciated gift towards the new CD, this one from "Anonymous Fan" came in the mail today! Don't even know who to thank for this one, but I hope whoever it is reads this blog so I can say how much all the Taters appreciate it! It's no exaggeration to say....

To read the rest of this post and the other posts go to the Tater Official Blog, or TOB (That's a scientific term).

Just a reminder to anyone who didn't, well, remember, or read the last post, the Tater's MySpace is now being run by a new Tater Representative.

There has been some talk in Tater Land the past few days about many wondrous things, one of which being the new MySpace Tater Representative. Me.

The Tater MySpace page is now going to be run and updated by myself. Really all this will mean is that messages that are going to the Taters on a personal level will not be received by them as quickly. They will still be overseeing the site, I will just be doing things like posting the blogs and updating the page, adding songs, changing pictures around and stuff like that. The Tater Blog will still be run by them fully, and for the most part my blog posts will be about big upcoming shows, page changes, or a link to a new post on the Official Tater Blog.

Oh, and just so you know, any post I make will be signed -Eloc-, any posts the Taters make themselves will have different signatures.

And now off to get started. I wont be changing much for a while yet, I still need to find out how to do some of the things I will need to do, like add more than 5 songs and make a bigger banner.

Sigh...

Off to the help desk!

OK, I'm a little late getting this back up, but I put our Christmas single, "My First Christmas (With You)" back up on our music player. One of these days we'll finish a Christmas album, but for now we do have 2 songs up for sale on a Taters MP3 page, as well as several free downloads. Still testing out a few ways to handle the free downloads, including Box.net, so let us know what you think.

In the meantime, feel free to add "My First Christmas" to your MySpace playlists as well!

We were sorry to hear that Cindy Woods passed away this weekend. She'd been battling with cancer for some time, and according to her friends her passing was a peaceful one. We only met Cindy about a month ago during a concert we did at the Virginia Home (see the Oct 10 blog posting), and were all really impressed by her talent as an artist. Sorry we didn't get to know her, but here are a few links to some info about her and some of her work:

We had a very fun show yesterday afternoon at the Virginia Home here in Richmond, and one of the girls there, Cindy, did some sketches of the band while we played. It's one of the best things about playing music - watching people respond in so many different ways, each in their own style; Some folks, like Cindy, make their own art in response to what we do. Some people dance, some sing along (often doing a better job on the lyrics than we do ), some get lost in thoughts present and past, and some just smile, letting me know, as I watch them, that a connection is being made!

That doesn't happen enough in life, and we get it all the time thru shows, or people listening to CDs, so we are blessed and grateful for all of it! If you're one of the one's I'm describing, who makes that connection, never underestimate how much we appreciate the connections!

Waiting on details, but looks like the Taters came in first place in a poll of over 90,000 votes for favorite bands in the area, hosted by Virginia Commonwealth University for their 40th anniversary Festival coming up at the end of October. We'll be headlining the festival. Stay tuned, and thanks to all who voted for us!
