The

Nobel Peace Prize-winning Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international humanitarian medical organization committed to bringing quality medical care to people caught in crisis regardless of race, religion, or political affiliation. It operates independently of any political, military, or religious agenda, providing impartial assistance to those most in need.

MSF reserves the right to speak out to bring attention to neglected crises, to challenge inadequacies or abuse of the aid system, and to advocate for improved medical treatments and protocols.

Created by doctors and journalists in France in 1971, MSF currently provides aid in nearly 60 countries to people whose survival is threatened by violence, neglect, or catastrophe, primarily due to armed conflict, epidemics, malnutrition, exclusion from health care, or natural disasters.
The key to MSF’s ability to act independently in response to crises is its independent funding. Eighty-nine percent of MSF's overall funding (and 100 percent of MSF-USA's funding) comes from private sources, not governments.
More than three million individual donors and private funders worldwide provide the operating backbone for Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières, and the Bangles are delighted to join this proud community.
Throughout 2009, the band members will be auctioning personal items in Bangl-e-Bay, with proceeds going to Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières.

Originally recorded as a holiday bonus for members of Bangles 'N Mash, "Bangle Jangle Christmas" was produced in limited quantity on cassette and has since become a much sought-after Bangles rarity.  The 2004 CD re-release was pressed from the original master tapes, capturing every insane moment of the gurls' holiday hilarity in crisp Bangle-Surround-O-Rama.

Chock full of zany banter, including nods to John Lennon, the Shaggs, and Old MacDonald (and his farm), the 1983 recording also features Banglecized holiday tunes and rarities including "Gloria," "Foghorn" and "Silent Night." 

In addition to the entire original 1983 material, HOLIDAY IN BANGLEONIA 2004 also includes 2004 holiday messages from Michael, Vicki, Susanna  and Debbi, with Banglebanter, and of course the gurls' own original take on classic holiday songs.
