Current mood: adventurous
Ok friends, we actually weren't bullshitting when we said we were putting out an EP. We just take forever. We wanted to make sure at each step of the process, (recording music, recording vocals, mixing, mastering etc..) we got the exact outcome we wanted or the best we could get. That usually tends to take time. But big thanks to Chris Fogal and Black in Bauhm Studio for recording the EP. It was a great experience. Thanks to Jeff Merkel for mastering super fast and probably teaching mike 5000 things he didn't know in under 2 minutes. We were really glad we kept the recording process within the Denver family and the people that have been around since we were kids. Shit I remember seeing Chris's band The Gamits when I was 14! But yeah we kept things very local and loyal.
We decided to go without song names. Or you could say we named the songs, Track 01, Track 02, Track 03, Track 04, whatever..
Track 02 was the selected as the "single"
We hoped to convey a bit more of a raw sound on the EP and very driving so there is sort of a dichotomy between Hello Sailor and Wolves In The Lazarette. We all believe this album is a better picture of our sound.
We wish we could release more songs, but the EP is so short, if we let you all hear another song you'd have half the EP!
It will be released by Eyeball Records who I should say have remained VERY loyal to us. Special thanks to Marc for taking on the project. There will be a CD release, and Vinyl release via Eyeball this Fall. You can goto their myspace or website within the next couple of days for more information on whats goin on with that stuff. And Cory is releasing a special limited edition numbered vinyl this Fall also, but only 250 will be available. I believe the presale has begun already. Our other blog posts has more info. But check out tiredowlrecords.com or myspace.com/tiredowlrecords to get up on that presale.
We love you guys... there will be a tour of the USA and of Europe in the near future. We put out the EP just like we said. So we will tour just like I'm saying..
so make sure to check out Eyeballrecords.com and myspace.com/eyeballrecords in a few days for more info.. And the Tired Owl site.
we lve you guys.. thank you for the support!

Current mood: aroused
So, we have tracked the drums, bass, and cory's guitar for the new EP Wolves in the Lazarette at Chris Fogals AMAZING Black in Bauhm studio. I am itching to just let people hear the half done unmixed un-mastered songs but that wouldn't be right.
Anyways, things are happening we are going to finish up recording this month, artwork is done and is sick as fuck. Cory is working on the limited edition vinyl of the EP on his Tired Owl Records.
Also we will be posting photos of the show (which was amazing) very soon, I'm not sure why I don't do it right now. We are kind of lazy and wait for the last second to do anything. But either way we will be posting a select group of radical photos. Also some of those photos and others from the past will be making it on one of the EP editions.
So as it goes there will be 3 releases of Wolves in the Lazarette
The CD version on Eyeball which will be available late spring (available at most record stores, Best Buy, FYE, Hot Topic and most importantly your amazing local record store).
The Vinyl version on Eyeball which will be available late spring (Available at some chain record stores, some indie shops but mostly through Eyeball mail order)
And a very very limited numbered color vinyl release on Tired Owl which will be available a couple weeks before the Eyeball releases. (Strictly available through mail order via the Tired Owl Website more info on that very soon)
So things are happening, the CD is so awesome and exactly what we wanted and what you and us deserve!
Will post info on all happenings as soon as we know stuff.
Dank You
-TBOP
