Dear Friends, As it has come up many times, we all wanted to give you fans the latest update regarding Torry. She has just recently informed us that her doctors have told her that she will not be able to play the drums for some time to come. While part of the issue is pain related, the bigger issue is that her injury (tendinitis of the shoulder) is one of those nagging injuries that only time can heal so we want to give her as much time as she needs. Otherwise she is physically fine and in great spirits despite the setback. However, nothing in The Donnas changes at all except that we will use Amy Cesari (who played our summer tour), or other drummers to continue to fill in for her when we play live. As for future recordings, there are some different approaches we can take and we will keep you posted on those once we figure them out. In the meantime we are working on new songs, special projects, and as always keeping a few tricks (and treats) up our sleeves. All Our Love, The Donnas Torry, Maya, Allison and Brett

Greetings & Salutations!
Yes yes it's happening again! The Donnas International Pet Day Today (Friday May 22) is ON! We just began at 10am (Pacific) and we'll keep it going through 10pm here at our Myspace page. This is our third year and for 8 hours we've enabled html in our comments section and invite you to post photos/videos showing us your pets, info and links on awareness and donations, pet foundations, and animals in need.
We ask everyone to post only items related to the animals, today is for them.
Please join us for The Donnas International Pet Day
and get involved with this Virtual Parade and Tribute to our Animal Friends!
Our favorite Animal Rescue is Brittany Foundation and we'd like to take a moment to raise awareness for them... please read up and visit their sites (links below), and donate if you are able as we all know times are tough out there and every little bit helps an animal in need!
A Message From Brittany Foundation:
A happy gal, Megan, came from the OC shelter. She had pyometra and was skinny as a rail. Well, she was spayed, put her on antibiotics, gave her a few good baths, a few healthy meals and now she is quite ready to get into that new home of hers ... as soon as someone steps up to the plate, that is. Really now, how can you resist this beautiful lady? We rushed Megan to a 24 hour vet clinic when she developed bloat symptoms. We made it in time, and Megan was put on pain meds and IV to stabilize her. After blood panel and xrays showing the twisted stomach, she went into surgery - had her stomach pumped of air and food and then her stomach was tacked to her abdominal wall so the stomach would not twist again in the future. We had to save Megan - but at a high cost - $5300.
We are struggling to make ends meet but could not say no to this sweet girl.
UPDATE: Megan is home and doing GREAT. We still need finanical assistance, but she is home safe and healthy.
