NASHVILLE, TN--   Former Duhks lead singer Jessee Havey -- who left the band amicably in 2007 to pursue a solo career -- will be the special guest artist at MPI: Music Producers Institute, is a unique, new three-day studio clinic designed to teach aspiring producers and sound engineers how recordings are produced, from start to finish.??

This special summer session will be limited to six students. Tuition for the three-day session is $600.00 per student.

Participants will experience a live tracking, vocal, overdub and mixing session with Jessee Havey and her producers David Leonard (Prince, Mellencamp, Indigo Girls, Barenaked Ladies) and Steve Fishell (Mavis Staples, The Mavericks, Radney Foster, Emmylou Harris, Pam Tillis).??The workshop will be held July 15-17, 2009 in Nashville at Sound Emporium studios, where Robert Plant, Allison Krauss, Emmylou Harris, Sam Bush, Delbert McClinton, Taylor Swift, Raul Malo and Bob Dylan have all recorded in the last year. Jessee will join the MPI class for all three days to track, sing and mix new songs for an upcoming solo project. For those interested in studio production, the MPI clinic is an exclusive, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to observe live recorded performances in the studio as Jessee makes new tracks for an upcoming release. No previous studio experience is required.
