we were back in the studio over the past few days recording more drums. and they are sounding fantastic. it's a much different process this time around, as many of you know, we changed drummers after we recorded our first album. Stephen was a fantastic drummer but moved on to greener pastures. with colin its like watching a machine, he's impressive to say the least and makes it look so easy hard.

for anyone who is counting 8 tracks are down with about another 8 to go so we are firmly in the grasp of studio fever. the first single hope hope shall be released 25th of september. all going well etc. its very exciting in our camp at the moment. lots instruments swapping one vocal mic between a few of madness and everything is in its right place.

we're putting together a little documentary for visual purposes and would like to get that up before the end of august. all will be quiet on the show front for another month or so and then you will see us springing up here and there.

The Flaws confirmed for Oxegen ‘09

The Flaws are delighted to announce that they will play this years Oxegen Festival at Punchestown, Co. Kildare on Friday the 10^th of July. Over the past few months they have been writing their  2^nd album and quietly laying down some demos at Tumbleweed Studios and their own A/B Studios. The lads are very pleased with the outcome so far and are looking forward to showcasing these new songs to a live audience at Oxegen ’09.

The band have also recorded a cover of Echo And The Bunnymens “The Killing Moon “ for a charity album in aid of Aware. The album “Sparks In Mind” was released on 1969 records in June 2009 and also features cover versions from BellX 1 , Republic Of Loose, Lisa Hannigan and Damien Dempsey among others.

hi all. just some news, we'll be out on the road for a bit this may. the listing are on the way. just a few shows to hold ye over for a bit..

we are also recording a cover of The killing Moon for an upcoming charity cd.

and on the other side, the demos are sounding really special for album 2. we wanna do this right, we dont wanna put out a shit album just for the sake of releasing something. its wouldn't be worth it in the long run. we can assure you it will be worth the wait.

we're planning a single for the summer, more on that when dates are confirmed etc. btw. as im sure you've noticed i havent updated this blog in a while, follow us on twitter for uptodate news and randomness and photos from the studio. there are a few there at the minute...

hello everyone. its been a while since we updated with fresh news.....

so first of all thank you to everyone who's been messaging us with messages of support and excitement for our next endeavor. We've spend our time getting this far so move 2 needs to be in line with all the work we've put in and we dont want to let anyone down.

onward.

we are writing album 2. thats the news i suppose. its too early to tell what shape it will take but we've burrowed ourselves into a nice place in terms of being creative and yet still being the flaws you all know.

with no deadlines so to speak of we're still moving at a nice pace. we've been throwing some album titles around and we think you'll like what you hear. im under strict orders to remain quiet but something must be said!!!!! something must be said i say. something.

we have one show left this year. 20th of december in the spirit store. so although i cant say much, i promise you will near brand new material on the 20th.

brfore the end of the tour we recorded a 2FM session and interview...

in the session we play some new songs that we've been playing on the tour as well as a cover that we played the last few nights

its on cormac battles show. his show starts around 9 ish and as usually they will space our stuff out im guessing. tune in and have a look :)
