We've posted an interview from the Sugar Dames on Giggamusic. These are two very sexy and sultry talents. They are soon to release a new album and we are looking forward to hearing it.

Here is an excerpt from the interview:

Do you write your own music ? If so, what inspires your songwriting ? What message are trying to put out ?

We write and produce our music. We also collaborated with other songwriters on a few tracks. What inspires us? Well that depends on the day. We have had a lot of tragedy and loss. Any songwriter would agree that sorrow and longing are the perfect ingredients for writing. We measure chapters of our lives by the music we've heard, sang, and created. That's all we are doing. Emotions translated into sound. We're not trying to put out a message. Just raw emotion. That's what connects us to our audience.

We did an interview with an artist who is re-inventing himself. A self proclaimed rocker who is moving the acoustical rock sound.

Check out our interview and let us know what you think.

Sorry for the delay in updating the blog. We have been working hard to reorganize a little so we can give you more consistent updates on the latest on our artists.

We recently came across an excellent group from California. They are an alternative/indie rock group with an edgy sound We really like the way their music flows.

They recently released their new full length CD Everyday Including.

This is a hot album. We have a couple of tracks on Giggamusic.com and their song "Talk" is available for a free download on the site for our members.

Just so you know we only put reviews on our blog of groups we think are worthy of our 5 Gig (get it giggamusic...gig!! I know, a little corny). The Union Trade is one of those bands.

They hail from San Fran, so if you are in the neighborhood, check them out. We are working an interview with them which we hope to have posted in the next few weeks.

In the world of music, there are musicians, singers, and song writers. The ones that truly stand out and succeed are true artists. Lee Alexander is a true and exciting new artist.

His CD "Out of Place" shows that his music is versatile and intense.  The sound blends an edgy alternative vibe with folk, storytelling lyrics. He is far from out of place.

There are 2 artists I would compare him to and these are 2 of the best. John Mayer and Dave Mathews. Lee is is the ultimate talent who needs to be heard.

I was jammin to his sounds while writing this and I can't get enough of him. He is the bomb !!

Please visit Giggamusic.com and give him a listen ! You won't regret it.
