The Lucky Devils can be booked right here through myspace.  We prefer to book at least a month to 6 weeks in advance but will sometimes play on shorter notice under special circumstances.

Derek O'Brien dropped our mixed down tracks in the mail today before heading out on the road with the Adolescents!

We are coming down to the final stretch for our album release. It has been a long time coming but well worth the wait. IMHO The final product is very good and I am very happy. We have to send things through the last stage still = mastering.

There is some very interesting other news to be coming out real soon... so keep an ear peeled folks! I can't release the info yet due to some kinks that need to be worked out.

We really appreciate all folks that have supported us and have been so kind. we appreciate all the nice comment and love we get. I read every message sent and try and get some love back out for every single one. You folks are the greatest! We are nothing without your love!

I am gonna try and put up a new track soon for your pleasure.

All the Best,

Tony and the Devils

Heya folks!

I just wanted to put out the word that we have finally got moving again with the album.  After a year of being stuck in a rut that has been vicious... we have again got the ship rolling.  Derek is starting mix down now.  We will be adding some final tracks and then were off to mastering.

On a related note, we are going to be putting out an 6 song EP tentively titled "Road Savage" in honor of our belated friend Marty.  The EP will include the Marty song as well as several other carefully picked choices.  Several new songs that won't be available anywhere else.

We are playing our first show with our new bassist Tom on April 5th at hells kitchen.  Demenio Loco will be playing the lead for us like old times.  The voodoo organist will be opening for us.  It is worth the price of admission just to see the voodoo man.  Hell... come out get drunk as fuck... watch the voodoo man and go home before we hit the stage if that is what it takes.... SEE THE VOODOO ORGANIST!!!!!!    You won't regret it!

   The Marty Song

Words and Music by Melinda and Anthony Dauley

Performed by the Lucky Devils (ASCAP)

A big creepy guy, about 6 foot 6.
He's got a purple flamed Chevy, that's hard to miss.
He's got a mini van, and picks up dead relatives.
He's the big creepy guy who puts toe tags on your kin.

He's staying awake
All through the night.
He's picking up dead people,
when the reaper takes flight.

In the hospital, at three AM
He puts em in the van and he covers their head.
shuts the door, it don't matter what they said
Cos he always starts the engine hoping they're really dead.

He's staying awake,
All through the night.
He's picking up dead people,
when the reaper takes flight.

Now don't you worry, now don't you cry,
dead grandma couldn't meet a nicer guy.
She's going away, don't matter what you say
Cos they're putting her in a coffin for another day.

She's staying awake,
All through the night,
Grandma's hanging out with Marty!!
When the reaper takes flight.

Our little buddy, Mr Diablo himself will not be performing live with The Lucky Devils in the future. So we are going to be in search of a new bassplayer. James will be involved with future record projects and such (One very fun one this month if fact).... so there is nothing personal going on there.

We have been playing with dood for a long time and it is gonna be weird looking over and not seeing my bro when I am throwing down at a gig. Life has it's changes and we have to go where hearts tell us.

We had to reluctantly turn down a show with Agent Orange last night because we don't have enough time to get a replacement. BIG bummer for me as Agent Orange is one of my all time favorite bands. James will be greatly missed.

If there is a local bassist out there that is looking to jam... drop us a line.

Hey ya'll-

Layne made it through his surgery and will hopefully recover, though it's going to be a long haul for sure. Sabrina RockArena emailed me again today after realizing that in the original email she sent (see below) she had included the WRONG paypal information. So! If you are interested in donating money to help Layne pay his medical bills, the correct info for her is:

http://www.paypal.com/
ms_libertty@cookiefactory.com (yes, with two 't's.)

If you have no idea what I'm talking about, then read the attached email.....

-------------------------

Sabrina RockArena sent this to me. It sounds like a serious situation. If any of you feel like helping out, I'm sure that it would be greatly appreciated.....

In case you dont already know, THIS Friday, June 17th, Heartbreak USA will NOT be performing in EMPs Liquid Lounge, as previously planned, during Leon Bermans Shake The Shack live radio broadcast on KEXP. However, there will be another live band filling in, and the show will go on as usual. For details, contact KEXP.

Layne Freedle, guitar player for Heartbreak USA, The Souvenirs and Redneck Girlfriend, stopped breathing and collapsed Saturday evening before being rushed to the emergency ward of the V.A. Hospital where he was put on a respirator.

As I clack out this e-mail to you now, Layne is currently under-going open-heart surgery at UW Medical Center to remove an aortic aneurism, replace the aortic valve, and possibly, the mitral valve. The 12-hour surgical procedure is very high risk, due to an existing heart infection (endocarditis).

I feel like a broken record having to tell you the same sad story over again about another of us, a musician, a friend, now, barely hanging on without medical insurance. Im calling on you to help. Its not you; its not me, thank God this time, and were simply going to have to pony up some cash, people. Laynes got nothing but crappy V.A. insurance and this S.O.B. of an operation is going to cost in the hundreds of thousands. Right now, Layne can use those two bucks gangling around in your pocket, more than you will hopefully ever need them.

If you are Pay Pal friendly and wish to help Layne, contribute any amount, by clicking the link below. Were using my personal PayPal account for expediency. If you have problems with it, let me know and Ill get it figured out so that we can get Layne the help he needs, now.

For the technologically challenged heres an address where you can send, cards, love and checks. Checks need to be made out to Laynes girlfriend, Kris Flink, and sent to the address below, as he has no access to his accounts for obvious reasons. For anything else, send your love directly to Layne at:

Layne Freedle
12410 SE 160th St.
Renton, WA 98058

Meanwhile, in an effort to put together more funds, friends and members of the music community are sponsoring a series of events, beginning with:

BARN DANCE FOR LANCE (Layne)
Saturday, July 23 @ Jules Maes, in Georgetown

With barbecue provided by Jules Maes

BARN DANCE FOR LANCE
Will be holding a silent auction for:
-10 hours of studio time at the legendary Egg Studios (Thanks, Conrad!)
-A guitar donation, through American Music (Thanks you guys!)
-Tattoos by local artists TBA, and more

BARN DANCE music for the evening will be provided by:

Heartbreak USA (with Lucky Lawrence standing in for Layne)
The Souvenirs
West Valley Highway
The Dusty 45s

Thanks everyone. Say your prayers.

Mr. Jackhammer is back!  He will be rollin' back to town next week for good!  We have dearly missed him.  It is great because we can feel complete again! YAY!  We have a few new songs to teach the man in a short time.  He may or may not play our currently scheduled shows.  But he will definetly be there for our CD release party in the fall.  We have a few tricks up our sleave for that!  If you only knew! muahahahahaha....
