A big hello to all that read this. Its been some time since I've posted a blog but here goes. All is good in the world of Body in the Box. We have started filming for PAL We filmed a scene based around the TV show 24. Everything turned out as good, if not better than expected. We had a bit of shock on the way out from Ankerside multi story where we filmed the scene. When we were stopped at the exit by a very school maamish lady who told us off for, as she put it, "Running around like idiots with a handgun, without permission." Even though we had spoken to 2 people on the telephone and checked in with security on arrival. We have plans to film some more small bits of PAL in the coming weeks as soon as PAL himself Mr. Sam Foster has finished all his work for college. Our leading lady for PAL (Rachel) has been a great help too. We have been granted access to the costumes of the local theatre group all thanks to Rachel, which is going to be a big help as the character of PAL has over 30 costume changes. We are all very eager to get things moving faster for PAL but also want to do things correctly and with our actors busy with other projects until mid summer it gives us plenty of planning time which myself and Rich are taking full advantage of.

Current mood:  melancholy

Hello all adoring Body In The Box fans and members. Its been a while but here I am to fill you in on the fabuolos life of moi. I have spent tonight revisiting my old CD's from back in the day. After a recent conversation with BITB STAR The Sam Foster about Nirvana and him not appreciating what  a great band they were/are, I decided to give my whole Grunge back catalogue an airing. I enjoyed listening to the music very much and will take Sam up on the Pepsi challenge anytime about Nirvana and Grunge as a whole being (in my opinion) the greatest musical revolution for a generation. As part of that generation I must defend its honour, that the music of the likes of Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, Soundgarden, Smashing Pumpkins.... I could go on....is well worth listening too, and to any young upstart (SAM) leave your preconceptions at the door my friend and maybe you may learn something about life from the POETS from my teenage years. I leave you after just turning off my CD player and feeling full of the angst, fear and bravado that the music aforementioned has got me feeling again. Meloncholy? Yes, but NOT Infinate sadness.

PAL is done, well nearly. We have a first draft of the script, and I have just finished the first edit. We have even cast some roles. All within our little group. Eddie the lead character will be played by Rob and PAL will be played by Sam, it also looks as if Miller will be donning his acting hat to play a character called Buck. We all like the script and are looking forward to getting things rolling. We will need to have some casting sessions (so anybody who is interested drop us a mail at auditions@bodyinthebox.co.uk) We are doing a reading this Wednesday at Millers. It will be the first time Rich, Rob and Sam will have read the parts they are going to play together. We will be spending the coming months preping for PAL to make sure it is all it can be.

Current mood:  pleased
Today I finished writing the first draft of PAL, our new idea for a short film. At the moment it stands at 64 pages. Myself  and Rob have taken a small one line idea and ran with it.We both like the script lots. Even my wife who is my best and fairest critic likes it too. Relief was there when she told me it was very good. We will be showing it to the rest of the BITB crew Sunday night probably. We may go through it by ourselves first before putting it up for scrutiny from our fellow BITB members :) Once we are happy with it I'm sure we will share it with a select number of friends who would be interested in reading it and passing on any feedback, hell we can always use feedback. That's it for now folks, just wanted to keep you up to date on a day when I'm feeling pretty proud of our efforts.

Hello all. Last nights filming didnt go according to plan. We went to meet The Years to film for a music video. We met The Years but no filming was done. The Years have decided that the way we were going with the video for Love in The city wasnt the direction that they had in mind for it, a darker theme was needed. We talked about the video with them for a while and decided to put what we have on hold and come up with something else which suits their ideal for their song. Its quite a difficult song to make a video for as the lyrics are quite serious and downbeat but the tune/beat carrying it along is up tempo and light. We went for the lighter side of the song for their video, as we had used the track in this way for our short "The Cupboard Of Doom." We stand by our video we think its one of the best things we have done but like I said to the band and their management last night "Love In The City" is their baby and they know what the song is about more than we do, so we will be working on something new for them. There are also plans in progress for helping them with an idea they have for a concert that they are headlining at Bedworth Civic Hall in February. Things are still not finalised so I wont say anything else until we are 100%.

Away from The Years we finally got to see newest BITB member Martins first finished short for his HND course at college. We all agreed that it was a good job done by Mr.Storer, and that as a solo effort it was a well executed project. Our BITB crew helped out (well Matt, Rob and Sam.)

BITB member Matthew has his script finished for RED a modern day telling of the Red Riding Hood tale. I will be editing the script for him, just correcting spelling and grammer for him. It is all his own work and he will be undertaking the project some time in early March. It will be the second thing produced by but not made by BITB and will be filmed under the Curfew films banner with BITB there as a helping hand.

Rob and I have finally started writing our short "PAL" and Miller has re-written an idea he had last year and it is looking good.

To summarise yesterday although a bit disapointing just gives us a fresh challenge with The Years and we have lots of sole BITB projects to be getting on with. I am still hopefull that 2007 will be our most productive year by far.

I am also looking forward to talking more about the BITB fan club (Blue & Missy.) We are raring to go just the word and we will be ready to discuss

Thats it for now. Bye.

Current mood:  good

Thats right ladies and gentleman the BITB crew will film for the first time in 2007 tonight. We will be filming The Years for their video for Love In The City. It's been a while in the making but we are back on the front foot and hope to complete the video in the next couple of weeks. After tonight all we need is 2 scenes one of which will be with the band and one with Sam our star stalker. So fingers crossed we will be done with filming by the end of next month. This week Rob and I made some progress with our plot outline for our new project. It now has a name "PAL" is the title we have gone with. I will post news on the project when we have the script finished. Miller also has a short script in the pipeline and I think we are all going to be busy writing in the next few months. Sam has a project on the go called "The Man Who Thought He Was God" which we are all looking forward to reading. So all in all things are looking good.

I have also had a thought of starting a "Film Club" just like a book club but with films.... see how that works!!! Any one who is interested should drop me a line about meeting up perhaps once a month to watch and then talk about a pre determined film. This is just an idea I am milling around, it obviously depends on the interest of others so spread the word to anyone you think may be interested.

Thats all for now folks See you soon.... And Remember the first rule of Film Club is please talk about Film Club.

Soooooooo Long

Yesterday was the first meeting of 2007 for the BITB crew and as predicted it turned into a Nintendo Wii fest. I got beaten on everything I played!!!! turns out that new member Martin is a natural at wiiing!!!! We were gathered at Millers to talk about future projects and get the Years video back on track but most of all to watch Martins project for his college course using Rob, Matt and Sam of BITB fame. Unfortunately the capture to DVD didnt work properly and Martin refused to show us until he gets a more polished version, even after asking him to "Fetch It" over a hundred times. We are also thinking about helping film Sams short Film Noir script for his college project, so if any aspiring actresses are out there and fancy a go at being a glamourus femme fatale drop us a line.

Current mood:  calm

My first blog of 2007. Hope everyone has had a happy christmas and new year, mine was cool, nice and quiet. A few too many games of cinderella and bratz for my liking but non the less time spent with my family is always a joy. One of my many new years resolutions is to keep blogging, how long this will last is anyones guess 2 have bitten the dust already. Action on the BITB front has ceased, but we will hopefully get the ball rolling again after we all meet this Wednesday for a catch up (It will turn into a Wii night I'm sure.... Sounds like a niche website to me!!!!!) Rob and I have been wracking our brains over our new script now called PAL. We have progress but it is slow. We are nearly ready to start writing now having got a beginning, middle and an end. We are very optimistic about it and I intend to make headway into it as soon as my little girl Esme is back at school. We are also hopeful of continuing the Years video soon. We know what we need to do but our schedules keep overlapping, Christmas and all. With a bit of luck we may get to film the remainder of the video in the next few weeks, then the hard work starts....EDITING. The putting together shouldnt be that hard, Miller is now an expert and the few bits and bobs I have done are passable, but the effects Miller will be putting on after will be time consuming. Im off for now. Hope I havent bored you lot too much? I will be back..... Maybe ...... Wednesday..... maybe Thursday..... Friday at the latest. Until then lets continue the christmas ethics peace to all mankind and all that bollocks. bbbbbbbbyyyyyyyyyyeeeeeeee.

Current mood:  calm

I have a little spare time on my hands, so friends I turn to myspace to utter some random garbage about life as I currently know it.

I sit here typing knowing that I have to pick up my daughter Esme from school in 10 minutes, and am wondering wether she would like spaghetti or sausage and mash for tea? I'm also looking forward to team BITB meeting tonight to watch the footage taken from the Years gig last Saturday and talk next projects and script ideas. We were meant to be filming the Years tonight but it was unfortuntely cancelled. Pretty mundane stuff at the moment folks, my script writing is still coming along slowly and I have started writing a short with my brother (mademan) about a man who has been crying non stop for ten months. It has promise, I think. Time to go, but I want to leave you with a few questions.

1) Is Tom on the Atherstone forum really Tom from myspace, or a pretender to the myspace kingdom?

2) How come Wosket is online now as I write this if incarcerated?

3) If films that appear on Zone Horror on Sky/NTL are made how come these people are working in movies?

and finally....

4) Spaghetti or sausage and mash for tea?

Current mood:  tired

News Flash: The Years gig on Saturday night November 4th was crashed by Sam (The Stalker) Foster. Only kidding they knew, in fact turns out Sam has his own little fan club already. He recieved rapturous applause on entry, he was grabbed by many shouting "Yeah its the stalker." The members of the opening band even walked by our table after performing to point and giggle at Sam for being THE stalker. The night went really well. The Years were fantastic and the finale invovled Sam donning the now famous cagoole (hope thats the correct spelling) and performing the worlds creepiest tambourine accompniment. Miller was at his best invading the crowd with his finest cameraship. The biggest hit and miss of the night by far though was a tie between Sams sister Amy  and BITB team member Dave Swinnerton. Amy pulled...... A lady!!!! And danced with her out of plain fear. Dave on the otherhand had the girls eating out of his hands, one group of girls even threw a banana at him to get his attention, he was not moved and when a girl asked the group if they wanted to dance we all knew Dave should but he declined, I think his Patrick Swayze moves wouldnt have fit the music being played at the time. Dave did best me though as he actually did make the dance floor as a protective human shield for Miller, to get deep into the wild crowd of Years fans towards the end of the night. On a personal note yesterday was the first day/night I've felt well in the last 3. I have been suffering from a migraine headache which has put a stop to all creative processes and I have gotten behind in my new script idea. Good news on that front , Rob Laird has asked if he can be invovled in the ideas stage of the script and help me iron out a few troublesome wrinkles. Hope to get back on to writing ways in the next few days and we will be filming with The Years again this coming Wednesday. I will keep you informed of how things go later that night or Thursday at the latest. So until Wednesday (or Thursday) Good Night my Lovelys. Sleep Tight!!!!
