For those applauding the massive drug raids and arrests last week, for you I can only ask. How many of those officers were smoking cigarettes or dipping snuff? How many went out later and had a beer for a job well done? How many drove home after a few. How many of them were chugging Mountain Dew or Red Bull to get that extra kick before busting in a door? How about you? Can you get going in the morning without that cup-a-joe? How about that back pain that needs just one more Flexeril or Hydrocodone? Just one. You'll be fine after that, then a Tylenol P.M. to get to sleep.  Give me a break! If prohibition didn't work in the past why are you so brainwashed as to think it is working now? Don't you remember the old movies of cops busting liquor barrels and how funny they looked to you, knowing what you know now? How do you think we look now as other countries have curbed abuse by legalizing drugs? While we lock the sick away and punish the responsible user we are filling up jails at an alarming rate. There were over five-hundred beds in jails across the state filled with non-violent drug offenders in this sting. That's over five-hundred beds that should be holding violent criminals. That's over five-hundred people that may not ever be able to protect their lives and property from a killer (a real criminal), because non-violent drug offenders can't carry guns in this state. NEVER AGAIN! NO CARRY PERMIT FOR DRUG OFFENDERS!  NO PARDON FOR DRUG OFFENSES! Arcane laws will start to kill more people if they are not changed. Drug laws killed Kathryn Johnston and gun laws killed thirty-two at Virginia Tech. I'm so pissed now at the political scene that if you want my vote you must want to end the war on drugs and implement the Fair-tax. Yeah it's a little narrow minded, but it's like breeding dogs. You have to pick only the ones with characteristics that appeal to you to get the outcomes you like. I've taken advantage of the two-party system for a while, I have voted for Republicans and Libertarians. There are always other parties, but I'm still debating. Are there any Whigs out there?

     I'm not really concentrating on The War in the press, now it's so bloated and contrived. I just read the milblogs at www.mudvillegazette.com that is way more interesting. I think something big is going to have to happen here for people to stop bitching about war in other countries. War sucks! But a lot of necessary things suck. An old neighbor of mine was talking about how nice things were when Clinton was president. He is from Arkansas and he admits to being bias, but I reminded him of what happened just after Clinton left office. Things happened that took a couple of terms to plan and ready for while we were looking the other way. Also don't forget gas was a dollar a gallon, and OPEC was our "friend". In a year The War could be totally different so that is all I'm saying.

    My issues are stated and I will vote accordingly, hopefully it will help attain a more suitable place to raise my family.

Getting caught with a joint at a questionably legal "saftey checkpoint":
$1,200, 12 months probation, 200 hours community service, $44 probation-crime victim fee per month, and $1,200 for a lawyer to get me out of psychotherapy and 36 weeks of treatment at $40 a week.
Moving to a state that doesn't treat peaceful potsmokers like violent criminals: PRICELESS.
That's what I get for living right, voting even further right, having an open mind, and not indulging in the buorgeois opiate in the glass teat that lines the pockets of some here in this "dry" county? Sadly so.

So I'm doing community service for a joint I got busted with. 200 hours of it. I got a letter published in the Northeast Georgian newspaper about the whole ordeal. But anyway, I'm working it off at the local library. Man this rocks. Not only do I have better hours than at my real job I get an hour lunch I get first choice on the books for sale and its just me and a bunch of ladies, and talk radio on my headphones all day. Oh, and I'm getting paid my regular wage because I work for the state of Georgia and we get vacation time for everything. If it wasn't for the exorbitant fines and drug tests this would not be punishment. I should get a community service award.

 something just clicks

When I was about 13 or so I was listening to Ice-T and the phrase "grab the para bellum" was spoken. Well I went on a search for para bellum and wound up finding this phrase "si vis pacem para bellum" which is latin for "if you wish for peace prepare for war", and something just clicked. We had been in what I would call relative peace for a few years thanks to the peace through strength initiative the great Ronald Reagan imposed on the world, But soon Bush the elder would send troops to Iraq to quell a forboding threat to an ally named Kuwait from a dictator named Saddam Hussein. It would end somewhat briefly thanks to American firepower.  But soon thereafter Bush would be ejected from office in a presidential race in which no one got a majority, and in would stroll arguably the most dangerous man ever to hold the highest office this side of  Abe Lincoln. The socialist policies of the dastardly duo would hinder the military and weaken the country's will to fight because he projected the image of "every thing's fine" when we were being attacked from the beginning of his presidency. The selfishness of his vices would eventually bring rise to the deadliest single attack on American soil, and he would bite the hand of those who offered the mastermind on a tray long before 9/11 came to be. The peace the country was in was a farce and the people ate it up with 99cent gas while we were appeasing the ones killing us overseas. Peace through strength, peace through sacrifice, peace through war, it can only happen one or all of those ways. The so called prince of peace was crucified after he was beaten to a bloody pulp. I DO NOT WISH TO FOLLOW HIS LEAD!
