My friend, Mike the Wiz, has a wonderful blog about cats. We scoped out his site today and spoke about some of the subjects he has written about. Tune in for great music, great animal stories, and great discussions about cat jealousy, domination, and a variety of cat topics. Enjoy! Check out his site at http://www...wayofcats...com/blog.

Hi Everyone,

Just a quick note to let everyone know that we survived the last bout of bad tornados, 2 of which went on each side of our house!  We were even able to save 4 grown boston terriers and 4 of their puppies.  They were the neighbor's dogs and when they ran to us for shelter, they were surprised to hear me say, 'we'll be right back with your animals'.  We leave no animal behind.  You can only imagine how crazy our basement was as we had kids, adults, reptiles, dogs, cats, birds, and babies in our spacious basement.  We could hear the wind ripping around our home and we could only imagine the damage outside!

After all was said and done, we inspected the damage and were lucky it was minimal.  However, the area we retrieved the puppies from was completely under the water.  Had they been left behind they would have drowned.

So today's message is no matter where you live, please make emergency plans for your animals as well as your family.  You never know when the fury of nature will unleash her anger and frustration out upon the world.  The next disaster could happen right in your home town.  It's better to have a plan of escape for all living under your roof than to be caught off guard.

If you wish to go further, then call a community meeting and start a city wide plan for housing animals in case of a disaster.  I plan on starting one right here in our neighborhood so everyone has a place to take their animals for the next tornado.

Hi Everyone,

Here are some things to think about:
I have several different shows and if you choose to be a guest then the interview can be done over the internet using Skype or Yahoo Messenger voice.  They can also be done over the phone.
One show is about animals-anything animals from health to experimentation and education.  One show is for musicians to discuss and promote their music; and one show is an open forum show for people who wish to speak their minds about anything from animals to the paranormal.
All shows are recorded and archived on various websites and parts of the interview will be aired live during my music shows to help promote the episode that is available.
The initial interview is done at your convenience on a day and time that works for you.  If you are a musician wanting airplay and protion of your show, then I will need some MP3s sent to leigh@thepawzcauze.net so I can play them during the show.
If you want to help promote the animal shows, that would be wonderful.  I need all the help I can get.  In turn, if you know of any local events for animals that you wish to have promoted, just let me know and I'll do what I can.  I have tons of sites and millions of listeners.
I am also looking for story ideas, animal heroes, people heroes, ect to acknowledge.  So how ever much you want to get involved you can and I will welcome the help.
I look forward to hearing from you.

Lots of great new artists have submitted their music and will be showcased on today's show.  We also have much to discuss in the way of oils and animals.  I've been accepting questions from listeners as well and will start reading these questions and answering them on air.  Have a question?  Send me a message and I'll happily answer it on the show.

To tune in go to www.radiogetswild.com.  Show time is from 4pm-6pm CST. If you are not a member of RGW, membership is free.  The showtimes will post in UK time if you are not a member or have not changed the time zone in your preferences.

You can also listen to the show from the chatroom.  Just go to the same website and at the top you will see a button with a coffee cup on it.  Click on it (make sure your popup is off or press the 'ctrl' button as you click on the link) and a new page will pop up.  You many need to install or update your Java.  Then you can press the play button located at the top of the page to tune in.  Then you can ask your pet questions in the chat room.

See you in cyberspace!

Hi Everyone,

I sent this to a friend of mine who wanted to tune into the show but wasn't quite sure how.  I figured there were probably others whom were too busy to ask or too afraid.  So I figured I would give you instructions and hopefully it will help you all to tune into not just my show, but any of your favorite DJs on RadioGetsWild.  There are tons of great DJs, shows, guests, and best of all, MUSIC!  We are a music online station and we have tons of fun.  If you like it, then perhaps you would like to be a DJ or if you are a musician, you can submit your music to be played by the DJs and get promoted world wide.

http://www.radiogetswild.com

Here are some tips for the RadioGetsWild website.  When you have a chance go there and get used to the buttons and where you can easily find your way around.  Don't let the new layout scare you.  I freaked out when we moved and I logged on and the website had changed!

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.  When there is a live DJ then the yahoo messenger is 'rgwonair', send a request to be added in as a 'listener'. Mine is 'dj_ice_onrgw'. I'm not on it much but when I'm on air, I am always on yahoo messenger.  I always send out a yahoo IM when I am on air.  My husband is DJ Craze and my daughter is DJ Angel.  We all send out yahoo IMs for our shows under the 'rgwonair' ID.  All of us are there to help so DO NOT hesitate to ask questions.  If we don't know, we'll direct you to Tim who is the station founder and he has all the answers.

When you get the the first page, look at the top and you will see a bunch of buttons.  If you are not a member yet, then choose 'sign up'.  It is free.  If you are a member, then click on 'sign in'. once in then you will see a lot of stuff.  I would suggest downloading the RGW toolbar.  It is awesome and you can click the play button and surf and listen all at once. You can also email your favorite DJs and all kinds of cool stuff.  It is also free.

PLEASE NOTE: If you are not a member or you don't set your time zone, the show times will be displayed in UK time zone only.  If you sign up and sign in then set your time zone found under the account section, then the display will be in your time zone.

Scroll down just a tad when you get to the main page. You will see the DJ who is on and the DJ who is next.  Under that there are 2 players.  Click the play button on the player that best suits your connection (dial up or broadband).

On that same page you will find a small coffee cup located in the blue area, above the center box with the video from DJ Roy and the artist of the month.  Hold your control key down and click on the coffee cup.  This will bring the chatroom enter page up in a different window so you won't loose the tunes.

This page confuses many people.  Just scroll down a little bit to a rectangle boxed area.  It says "Radio Gets Wild Chatroom".  you will see red letters telling you to make sure your pop up blocker is off but all you have to actually do is hold down on the shift key while you click on the down arrow and choose the word "main" in the drop down menu.  Keep holding down the shift key and that will allow the chatroom page to appear.  You can continue to listen to the music while all this is going on so you don't miss a thing.  It may take a while for it to upload so just sit back and relax.  Once the page is up you will see the DJ in the room and others, if there are others.  You can make music requests, chat with the DJ and others or just hang out and tune in.

Hope this helps a little.  I know how confusing it is the first time.  I had tons of problems until I got the hang of it.  That is why I try to be as detailed as possible so hopefully it will be easier for the new listeners.

Well, I will let you go for now.  Hope you have a wonderful evening.  If you have any problems, just give me a holler.

Pawz Up,
DJ Ice
