Stay Away - I was a guest vocalist/lyricist for a verse of the song Stay Away. The track was produced by Craig A. King for the Nashville Prevention Partnership, to inspire youths to make good decisions and stay away from negative lifestyles. I'm the third verse of the song, Beth Nielsen Chapman comes in on the bridge. Other Artist involved are Stix Izza, Brandon Young, Crisis, Craig King, and Harold Simmons. nice.

Same things as usual... I'm here in Nashville playing muuuusic. I got myself a new toy recently, a Gibson Victory bass, tre cute... all the kids think I am way cooler now. cheers.

I had no idea what to expect and everything that happened was incredible! The city was so beautiful, everything was blooming, and the air was crisp and fresh. We got to spend a day taking over the city with about 10 of us on Segways, the stand up scooters.
And later I had the joy of getting my foot stomped on by the 3 Doors Down security guard...
Then we rocked out at Yoshi's on Fillmore. Yoshi's was great, the show was fun, everything was off the cuff, but that is what makes a mafia show cool. I met some great San Fran musicians, and also the singer songwriter Pat Robitaille from Canada. It was good times, good times.

I am headed to San Francisco with the Muzik Mafia for a show on April 15th. We are playing a show at Yoshi’s to bring some Muzik Mafia action to the Bay area! If you’ll be in town let me know. I will have an extra day or two.

So let me indulge for a minute here... Friday we, (Chip Greene band) played a show at the Mercy lounge for the Lightning 100 broadcast extravaganza, and we shared the bill with Eef Barzelay of Clem Snide. So this was one of those moments of glory in life. I have seen Eef perform a bunch of times with his band and solo over the past few years (more years than I will admit) so it was a big deal to get to share the same stage with him on Friday. I sort of went into geek mode and harassed him after his set for a photo. So there you go. That's the story of my photo with Eef.

Also if you haven't heard his music, go listen to it. He is an amazing songwriter. cheers! Check out the song, 'Break Something Beautiful' its a good one.

I posted another little demo ditty. When you say please, I'm everything you want me to be.

I was selected to participate in the pop songwriter's workshop this year at ASCAP. Hopefully they will teach me a thing or two over there... :) I am looking forward to it.
It starts next week and goes every week until Oct. 16th.
