So, now I have put down all the vocal tracks on all of the songs for the next album. All that is left is some adjustments, mixing and mastering. And also a label that will release the album. I have not got any answer from those labels I have contacted, but in worst case I will release the album myself since I am so far very pleased with the songs!
I..ll return with more news as soon there is something interesting to tell... /J

Well...to make a long story short: after the recordings of “One Size Fits All” the atmosphere in the line-up was very strained. Personally I had a really hard time during the recordings. Noone except me hoped for continuing the band, but I tried to keep the banner high. The other guys had already leaved when the album was out but I didn..t care. I had already found another person to help me out (a great person actually) but recently I got a message he told me he probably couldn..t cut it since his abilities to handle the strings has decreased in quality since he hadn..t practiced for real for a couple of months...no hard feelings, I appreciate his honesty. However I had to make a decision....and the decision is, I will continue Plutonium as a one man project until I find persons that I think will fit. But I have too much music inside of me that have to be released and it still sounds the way I think Plutonium MUST sound. So I will record next album ENTIRELY ON MY OWN. I..ve already put down the basic guitar and bass tracks, so you can tell I..m definitely on a roll now...and since I..ve played guitar for almost 20 years now I guess I know how to handle the strings...
And to be honest: there..s no lack of inspiration this time either. Humanity once again have succeeded in becoming the flock of sheeps that Huxley and Orwell warned for almost 60-70 years ago...well, let..s just laugh at these pseudoindividualists, and have some violent fun at their expense, because I guess that..s the only use I..ll have of them. The lyrics this time are VERY poisonous yet satirical.
Will YOU join us? /J
P.s. By the way, you don..t have to read the book I..m reading now, it..s pretty boring actually...D.s.

Last month we have been flooded by friend requests from different kind of hip-hop artists. I seriously wonder why they all bother to send us these requests: we have never claimed to be specially interested in your music or careers, nor do we see any reason why we or you should benefit by making friends. NOTE! We do not hate your music, I can even think of a (very very) few rap artists that I could enjoy, but it seems like you only waste your and our time by sending these requests. If you still want to add us - please tell us why! I..d be very interested to know the reasons for making friends with you... Otherwise your request will be immediately deleted.
Do not grieve to much about this though - a "MySpace friendship" with a swedish Industrial Extreme Metal act won..t result in any new cars, dollars, girls or gold chains...(yes I do have a sense of humour as well!)

Yeah, I know most members in the MySpace Community use the bulletins for promoting their own stuff, and nothing wrong about that: we do that ourselves a lot. But since I..m on holidays now I thought of giving you certain tips on new exciting music to listen to... here on MySpace! Let..s go: ANGSTRIDDEN http://www.myspace.com/angstriddensocietyThese guys are just marvellous, imagine a raw underground version of Zyklon or 1349 and you..re almost there. The "Mutilators of Concious" demo must be one of the best demos I..ve heard during the first decade of the millenium so far...their new stuff is very promising, but I advice you all to BUY (yes, BUY!) this demo! Most of you can afford it, you are probably just too lazy to get it but that..s no excuse. DEMENTIA ABSURDA http://www.myspace.com/dementiaabsurdanoiseA Croatian (!) experimental project which really caught my interest. The idea of making a noise cover of "Whore" (Mayhem) is just brilliant, and the result is brilliant as well! Their own songs are as good as well...you can download the demo for free at their MySpace page or get in touch with them and they..ll send you a CD copy of it...for free! INLAID RUST http://www.myspace.com/inlaidrustAmerican black industrial which really sounds like nothing else, except your worst nightmares...very interesting guitar playing and drumming...also free to download...great stuff! Ok, that..s it! Take care and control! /J. Carlsson

Since this interview was published in italian, we´ll publish it in english here!
Hi J.! "One Size Fits All" is one of the best 2007 underground releases in Sweden! It's so creative, and your songwriting is really well-done! Are you satisfied of your release's feedbacks? Are you still proud of your album, or would you like to change anything in it, if it could be possible?
- Hi Hellvis! Thanks for your nice words about our debut. Most people who reviewed it have actually enjoyed the album (more or less), so of course I am very satisfied with the feedback. Of course there are some details that could have been done better or been adjusted, but I don´t believe there is anything to gain from that kind of thinking... if you have made a perfect album which sounds exactly the way you wanted it to, what´s left to achieve? But if I had to say something: I wish I didn´t have to catch a cold two days before I had to put down the vocal tracks. I guess my performance could be a lot better then. But all in all, I´m still proud of the album!
Your style is rich of influences, but you tried to find a personal way of expression. What's your musical background, and what can you tell us about your sources of inspiration?
- I consider guitar to be my main instrument and I´ve been playing that instrument for more than 15 years. I guess it all started with traditional metal like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and Black Sabbath (which still is one of my fave bands, Iommi really knows how to write a riff) and from there I went to more extreme stuff, like thrash/death and black metal. I guess extreme metal has been my main focus during the years, but I have also learned to appreciate other kinds of music like industrial/noise/ambient and classical music (like Mussorgsky for example, as you surely noticed). Nowadays it´s mostly other stuff than music that triggers my creativity, like movies, books or things that happens to me.
Your arrangements are very complex, as well as the songs' structures. What's your way to write a song, and to arrange it? Are you the only songwriter in Plutonium, or your bandmates help you?
- I don´t know if my arrangements are THAT complex...but of course I can´t make an objective assessment of my music. Personally I think it´s important to try different structures as well as different paces and riffs. It would be extremely boring both for me and those listening to my music if the album contained eight songs build up the same way. Since all songs are build up different, there are different ways of writing songs for me...some songs are finished in one week, some may take several years to complete. I try to find the spirit and feeling I want to express in each song. Sometimes there needs to be a lot of layers and such things, sometimes less definitely is more. I write almost all music in Plutonium, the others aren´t that interested...
My complements for your lyrics! Is there a concept behind them?
- Cool that you liked them! It would be great to know what you like about them... There is no real "concept" between the songs, if you think for example like King Diamond, but you can definitely find a common theme: the world of today. Where our civilization closes in to the ones described in books like "1984" or "Brave new world". Where people beg to be controlled and preach individuality while conforming to the system. Fascinating, although dangerous.
What do you want to express with Plutonium music? Do you play in any other band?
- Myself, and to create the most industrial extreme metal art. I don´t play in any other bands for the moment, maybe in the future but now I´m totally focused on Plutonium.
Did you write new songs? What should we expect from Plutonium, in future?
- Hell yes! We have a lot of new songs and this week we will start recording a new album. During last year I was very creative so the album almost wrote itself! The music floats in all kinds of directions, it´s faster, harder, darker, slower, more industrial and even symphonic than "One size fits all". We are not signed for the moment, and we have actually no idea of when and how the album will be released. But since there are no label right now, there are no deadlines either so we won´t stress anything. We´re just feeling great with our new material, I hope those who liked "One size fits all" will enjoy this album as well!
Are you a live band too? Are you preparing a tour in order to support "One Size Fits All"?
- For the moment: no. I´ve said this before, and I know it´s a dull answer but this is the truth: we must solve some personal and technical problems before we enter a stage. So no tour for the moment, and no other random gigs either...sadly, because I think it would be great to play our songs live.
Are you satisfied of Khaoz Star's work?
- Definitely. I guess they chose a very bad time to start a label (when free downloading seems to be the number one way to get new music) but you never know what the future will be like. They have been very supportive and kept all promises they made so I have only good words for them and their work!
Well, this short interview is over! Last words are yours!
- Thanks for your interest! If someone got interested in Plutonium, just check out our websites http://www.plutoniumsite.com/ or http://www.myspace.com/thetrueplutonium for some fresh info and music...if you like it, why not check out our album? Take care and control!
