Never been a major fan of sundays, especially when i was at a house party ROFLing everywhere with tord... Cider and party poppers, could be a song title! 

We are still hard at work on our 2nd creation, over 20 new songs now, i always daydream as to when it will come out and what it will look like etc. I am certain that its not as far away as i sometimes think. Patience is a virtue, how true a saying, its taken 25 years for me to grasp the concept.

Anyway, i hope you are all well? How was Xmas and New Year? Did anyone disgrace themselves?

Hang in there Wombateers, our new album is at the end of the rainbow xxx

Hello dearest batlovers!!!

I was about to put a film on when it occured to me how absolutely fucking useless we are at keeping in contact, and letting you guys know our every move! So here it is.........

Contrary to popular belief we have not moved to Chile to sustain ourselves on a concoction of elderflower cordial and rivita. We are very much alive and kicking and are still working like a tribe of comodo dragons to conquer our prey, our prey in this instance being Album No 2. 
    
We have 17 new songs (pretty much) and it seems everything is fitting into place nicely. Although we still have a bit of a way to go yet, so we can ensure that this album is the monster that we want to make, and that you want to hear. We don't want to go into too much detail as to what the new songs are sounding like, as that would be like giving a child a lollipop with an iron wrapper. If you get what i mean?

I am missing touring a lot, life is much more rewarding when we get to play to you lovely scamps on a night by night basis. The word on the street is that we will be experimenting with producers around xmas time, to see what works and what doesn't, and to give us a clearer view of how to go about recording the album. 

Rest assure you will be seeing our shocking faces in a venue near you, in the new year!

Just want to say a big thank you to the amazing crowd at Radio 1's Big Weekend.

Hello everyone,
  Thanks to all who made it to the little run of shows we did.....
         Norwich
         London
         Manchester
         Glasgow
They were all fantastic. The fact that you all came and rocked the living crap out of the venues considering we have toured this album to the hilt is incredible. I counted that in glasgow 9 pints were thrown at me and i dodged 2, the perfect way to finish any tour.
For us that was putting the final sparkly stamp on A Guide to Love, Loss and Desperation. It's now time for us Wombats to go into some form of creative hibernation and build on our new material, a little of which you witnessed at the last 4 shows.
Just to let you know that Circuitboard City is a stand alone single so therefore won't be on our second album or atleast that's the idea. It's out on Monday, hope you like it.
So marsupial hugs,strokes and possibly a little lick to all. Hopefully see you at a few festivals in the summer.

We're looking forward to our session in the Xfm studio on Monday.
The show's 'An Evening With The Wombats' and we're going to play 4 songs including the new single, as well as have a chat with the lovely Steve Harris. It's all going to be in front of an audience of competition winners, so if you haven't entered yet have a go now. We can't wait, so make sure you tune in or listen online from 7.00pm on Monday.

Don't forget the single's available to download now, and it'll be in the shops on Monday.
