Who knew that, besides being a top-notch rock DJ and bourbon-soaked chicken-chaser, Trans Am & Chrome's dapper rezzie, Dirty Knees, is also a style maven?

If the SF Bay Guardian says so, then it must be so...

ALSO....TRANS AM WANTS TO KNOW WHAT YOU BOYS THINKS OF A NEW PARTY DEDICATED ENTIRELY TO '70S POP-ROCK

When we were kids, we spent our summers feathering our hair, sucking on Big Sticks and rollerskating in our OP shorts to breezy tunes by Supertramp and Fleetwood Mac.

When people think of the '70s, they think disco.  But, before platform shoes and disco balls, there were Hush Puppies, blacklight posters and dreamcatchers.

We want to capture the vibe of that forgotten era.  And, with winter approaching quickly, we thought a midweek taste of summer in the early-to-mid '70s might be nice right now.  But we want to know what you think. Please reply to this blog with your thoughts.....

Just like our favorite little gypsy, Stevie, sang, "Players only love you when they're playing..."

The third installment of CHROME...a hard-rock social for bike-FAGS and alternative HOMOS...happens Saturday, October 20 at The Gangway (841 Larkin St.)

CHROME is Trans Am's slutty little sister, the one with all the hickies, who wears too much blue eyeshadow, who the nuns at school are always busting for smoking, and who hangs out under the bleachers getting high.

Deejay Pee Play is preparing an all-vinyl mix of old school punk and hardcore for October 20 to satisfy you rocker-faggots' taste for the hard stuff.  The cheap booze will be flowing.  And our guest-host for October, Chicken (Motor City Madness), will be cranking up the porn projector to get you horny.

Trans Am presents....CHROME

feat. Deejay Pee Play (Honey Soundsystem)
& guest-host Chicken (Motor City Madness)
@ The Gangway - 841 Larkin St. (corner of Geary)

Trans Am is once again featured in the SF Bay Guardian's "NOISE" blog this week.  Scene queen Marke B. asked me to select a few of my fave "super-gay" videos off of YouTube.  See what I came up with at:

http://www.sfbg.com/blogs/music/2007/10/gayest_videos_ever_pt_2.html

Catch local queer-rockers The Passionistas, plus Monistat (Happy Birthday, ghurl!) and Precious Moments dragging it up, and DJs Anna Conda (Charlie Horse) and Johnny Evil (Absinthe Boy, Dropkick the Punks) this Saturday at Trans Am!!!!!

TONIGHT AT TRUCK (15th & Folsom).....

DJ Chicken presents MOTOR CITY MADNESS,
a musical homage to Detroit...
Down Fay-Go cocktails, chow on a special, Detroit-inspired burger and feast your ears on the eclectic sounds of Chicken's beloved hometown, from proto-punk to techno-funk.  IT'S FREE, MARY!

Tuesday, October 02, 2007

What can I say?  The hazy memories of another stupidly drunk Folsom Street Fair are forever etched on our minds and our livers.  We had intended for the Trans Am headquarters on Folsom Street to serve as a pit-stop location for friends and family...for pee breaks, cold beverages and the occasional group trip to the bathroom.  Instead, it served as an afternoon-and-evening-long hangout for the nudity-crazed and sobriety-challenged.  And we're paying for it today....OUCH!!!!

Anyway, so many fun parties on the weekend horizon....

On Wednesday, DJ, promoter and Trans Am door-dude Chicken is throwing the second installment of his latest monthly, Motor City Madness, at Truck.  It's a musical homage to Chicken's beloved hometown, Detroit.  It's FREE!!!  The soundtrack is anything and everything Detroit, from proto-punk to techno-funk.  And Truck's kitchen will be serving up a Detroit-inspired burger.

Friday night, we'll see you at Charlie Horse.  Anna Conda hosts the midnight drag spectacle, and Bearzbub and Trans Am rezzie Dirty Knees share DJ duty, while the rest of us pickle ourselves in cheap liquor and I molest boys under the guise of "promoting."

Then, of course, Saturday night is TRANS AM!!!!!!  Fag-rockers The Passionistas are performing live.  Check out the new comment from The Passionistas on Trans Am's MySpace page.  These crazie cuties burn for you...LITERALLY!  And I hear they're planning something super-special for the Trans Am crowd.

Potty-mouthed tranny Monistat and living drag legend Precious Moments will be putting on lipstick and wigs and shit.  Anna Conda will be wearing her DJ hat on Saturday, filling in for DJ Dirty Knees in the main room.  And DJ Johnny Evil, drummer for Absinthe Boy and the creator of Dropkick the Punks (a new rock monthly at The Transfer beginning Sunday, October 7), will man the controls upstairs.  Plus, our favorite little mamacita Juanita Fajita will be helping me give away more limited edition Trans Am tighty-whities.

Pace yourselves, boys....
