Hello to my MySpace friends.  I haven't been very active on here because I'm really enjoying my time on Facebook.

I will post a small update here, but if you'd like to chat or something look me up on Facebook under Amanda Banks Diaz.

The twins are doing well here in Pittsburgh.  Hunter is now 14 lbs and Nate is almost 17 lbs.  They are both crawling and fighting with each other and driving me insane.  Josh just got a new job through the sheet metal union.  I've been spending a lot of time at home with the boys and with friends and family.  I hope all of you are doing well :)

THE AGONIST Strike Back With Explosive Sophomore Release, Shoot New Video and Prepare For North American Tour With The Haunted

Canada’s most exciting female fronted export, THE AGONIST, strike back with their second full-length offering, Lullabies For The Dormant Mind, which combines shredding leads with pure technicality, topped off with the glamorous Alissa White-Gluz’s brutal growls, as well as dramatically melodic clean vocals, that take THE AGONIST to a new level of musical grandeur. It is extremely rare to find an up-and-coming metal band taking strong political stands, much less one that’s led by a dominating, beautiful, edgy female. Head over now to the bands official Myspace page (below) to stream two new tracks, “The Tempest” and “Martyr Art.”

$10 @ CMDistro. com!

The group kicks off its worldwide touring cycle for this new effort with a massive North American trek alongside labelmates The Haunted and Nachmystium on April 2nd. See below or visit their MySpace page to view their complete touring itinerary.

White-Gluz further comments: “We are extremely happy to be going out on the road to promote our new album, Lullabies for the Dormant Mind. We devoted so much to this album and we are confident that it shows! First on the agenda is visiting our good buddy David Brodsky and the  MyGoodEye team (Bleeding Through, Suicide Silence) to film a new music video for the track ‘Thank You, Pain.’ Then we will hit the road hard for a whole slew of tours. We have new merch, a band portrait I painted myself that I will be selling prints of and we are campaigning for ‘A Song for Africa’ this time around. We also will have lots of webisodes and live footage for our fans. We can't wait to get out on the road and look forward to seeing you all soon."

THE AGONIST, born in 2004, covers a wide range of styles from classical to black metal. Their debut album, Once Only Imagined (2007), caught the eyes and ears of many musicians and music fans alike, and their sophomore album, Lullabies for the Dormant Mind, will once again prove the diverse talents of these young musicians. The a cappella version of Tchaikovsky’s “Swan Lake” is only one example of the band’s musical abilities as it impressively exhibits White-Gluz’s mind blowing wide range of vocal skills and professionalism as a singer.

Produced by Christian Donaldson (Cryptopsy, Mythosis), Lullabies for the Dormant Mind exposes new facets of the band and touches upon classical, jazz, opera, grindcore, thrash and black metal influences in a complete metal opus. Following a dark, twisted yet beautiful, surrealist visual concept from Natalie Shau once again, THE AGONIST have created an uncomfortable yet addictive setting for their metal. Lullabies For The Dormant Mind promises to turn heads with its daring mix of moods and styles – a challenging album well ahead of its time.

FRIDAY THE 13TH Sequel Officially In The Works!

Jason always finds a way to come back! And considering the huge opening
box office success of the new FRIDAY THE 13TH, it should come as no surprise that a sequel is already in the works. The Hollywood Reporter says that New Line and Platinum Dunes are moving forward on FRIDAY THE 13TH 2, a follow-up to the recently released reboot of the franchise.

Writers Damian Shannon and Mark Swift who penned the latest FRIDAY, as well as FREDDY VS JASON are beginning work on the next installment's script. Unlike the first FRIDAY THE 13TH,
the new film will not be borrowing elements from any of the franchise's
previous entries, but instead go in a new direction stemming from the
reboot.

The article also states, "Marcus
Nispel, who directed the latest film, is a possible but unlikely
candidate to helm the “Friday” follow-up; the director is believed to
be fielding offers for movies across other genres."
No word on if either Jared Padalecki and Amanda Righetti will be reprising their roles. (Let's hope Derek Mears will come back as Jason Voorhees!)

Since Platinum Dunes is currently prepping to begin shooting A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET on April 27th with Samuel Bayer directing, the new FRIDAY THE 13TH probably won't hit theaters until sometime in the 2nd half of 2010.

Is Drew Barrymore Directing TWILIGHT Sequel ECLIPSE?!

With THE TWILIGHT SAGA 'NEW MOON' set to begin shooting next month, and a release date locked on ECLIPSE for June 30th, 2010, Summit Entertainment is apparently looking at potential director's to pick up where Chris Weitz leaves off. Could Drew Barrymore be that director? Entertainment Weekly
is speculating that the actress turned director is one of the few on
the short list to helm TWILIGHT's second sequel. Not too surprising
since Barrymore just wrapped up her directorial debut Whip It! starring Ellen Page.

Here's Summit's synopsis for THE TWILIGHT SAGA - ECLIPSE:
As Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a
malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge, Bella once again
finds herself surrounded by danger. In the midst of it all, she is
forced to choose between her love for Edward and her friendship with
Jacob—knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the ageless
struggle between vampire and werewolf. With her graduation quickly
approaching, Bella has one more decision to make: life or death. But
which is which?

The release date for NEW MOON is currently set for November 20th, 2009! Check out details for the TWILIGHT ULTIMATE EDITION BOXED SET out on May 5th right HERE!

Based on the hit novel series by Stephenie Meyer, TWILIGHT
was directed by Catherine Hardwicke and stars Kristen Stewart, Robert
Pattinson, Nikki Reed, Peter Facinelli, Elizabeth Reaser, Jackson
Rathbone, Edi Gathegi, Rachelle Lefevre, Ashley Greene, Billy Burke,
Cam Cigandet, Kellan Lutz, Anna Kendrick and Taylor Lautner. Chris Weitz will direct the sequel NEW MOON.

Something Luke wrote about his trip to see the *Underworld* movie that made me kinda smile:  "Anyway, on a side note, on the way to the theater my brother made some reference to Underworld: Evolution
and we were discussing the movie. He asked me if we saw it in the
theater, and I told him no. That was the first time Mandy and I went on
a date. How ironic, thinks I. Here I am a werewolf, and she a vampire,
and we on opposite sides and all. But it was okay. She killed me before
I got to her. She was crafty like that.Vampire chicks usually are.
Which is why I think I am so weak for them...but I digress."

I haven't written a blog in a quite a while; mostly due to my lack of time.  It seems that all I do anymore is make formula, do laundry, wash bottles, wipe poopie butts, and listen to babies scream.  I've been really depressed.  I've told my closest of friends the details of this post part um depression.  So I won't go into much detail here.  Basically, I just want to cry all the time, lay in a dark room, and be alone.  Silence...  Serenity...  I need those things badly.  I know I need to be on some medication for it, I've just been stubborn and I suppose that things are now out of control.  I never thought it would be easy having twins, but all the health issues and doctor visits are enough to drive anyone a little batty.  I just feel so unhappy and like I've lost myself.  So today I had a visit from my social worker who seemed quite upset with my *upsetness* and told me I had to call the doctor while I was there to see if they'd give me some kind of antidepressant.  I did not want to do this.  After the millions of different antipsychotics and antidepressants that I've taken in my life, I look at my struggle to get them all out of my system and be somewhat normal as something to be proud of.  After some pushing I did call the doctor who said they want me in there first thing Monday.  I also have a counseler coming to my house that afternoon who seems worried.  I made sure to every extent that I could that I wasn't going to drown my babies in a bathtub the way that one crazy lady did a few years back.  Anyway, I think that this isn't just post part um, it's everything on top of everything.  The stress of where and whom I live with, the lack of support, the lack of passion in my relationship.  There are so many things going on that a pill couldn't fix.  It would be nice if it could though.
March 2nd is our two year wedding anniversairy.  It feels like fifty years to me.  I know that everyone eventually has struggles within their marriages.  I just wish things could be a just a fraction better.  Last night was the Cradle of Filth show in Baltimore and the inlaws refused to watch the boys.  We went to the Cradle show there for our honeymoon.  It was a big deal.   I know if we had been in Pittsburgh that we wouldn't have had to missed that show.  Oh well, you can't always get what you want right?  Not that I ever really get anything that I want.
So it's almost offically one month until our big move to Pittsburgh.  At least I still have that to look forward to.  There have been some problems today finding out that our tax return won't be returned to us until May.  Something we were counting on for the move won't be there now.
*Sigh*  Well, sorry to have bothered you all with this crap.  Feel free to vent at me if you need to.

Platinum Dunes new reboot of the NIGHTMARE franchise will start shooting on April 27th according to Production Weekly. The new film's plot is based strongly on the first A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET movie, which introduced cinematic child-murderer Freddy Krueger to a whole generation of sleep deprived, terrified kids!

Based on Wes Craven's 1984 classic, the new film will be helmed by Samuel Bayer (director of music videos for NIRVANA, DAVID BOWIE, SMASHING PUMPKINS, GARBAGE, METALLICA & more) from a script by Wesley Strick (CAPE FEAR, ARACHNOPHOBIA). Brad Fuller, Andrew Form & Michael Bay will produce the redux.

Casting
is currently underway, but no word yet on who will be wearing the
infamous brown fedora or killer glove. (WATCHMEN's Rorschach Jackie Earle Haley is a strong fan favorite for Freddy Krueger) Sorry fellow fiends, but Robert Englund doesn't want
to play the role anymore. However, the actor has expressed interest in
appearing in the new film in a cameo. More when we hear it!

Hello all,
Just a note to let everyone know that I'm still alive.  I haven't jumped yet.  I do get tempted though from day to day.
Just looking forward to starting my life over.  It will be a chance for Josh and I to erase, to forgive and forget, and finally to have our own lives.
The twins are doing pretty good.  Nate's over 12 pounds now and Hunter's hitting 9 and a half.  In a few weeks they'll get their first taste of cereal!
Well, I hope ya'll/yinz are good.

What a shitty day.  Aside from my normal routine, I decided to cook dinner and make Superbowl snacks.  A complete waste of time because no one even ate them!
Right when the game started the twins went into evil mode and wouldn't stop screaming.  It took over an hour to get Nate to sleep and 3 for Hunter.
For some stupid reason I got very emotional watching Bruce Springsteen play because my Mom was a big fan.  I could imagine her dancing, even holding one of the babies and smiling and I just broke down into tears.  I don't mention her that much anymore and I guess when it hits me it just hits he hard.  I don't have time to even think about myself now let alone her.  It really sucks that I can't call her and chat or have her here with me and the twins.  I really pray she's around me somewhere...
I'm tired, I don't feel good, and I'm worried about one of my good friends.
I bet everyone up in the 'burgh is celebrating the Steelers' victory.  My brother's birthday is the 4th and he was hoping for a birthday Superbowl win so congrats, Cory!
Hope yinz all had a good weekend.

So today we went to Josh's Gram's house so his great Aunt's could see the babies.  Afterwards, Crystal and Jeremy took them to their house so Josh and I could have a few hours to ourselves.  I tried to take a nap, but couldn't and I ended up cleaning instead of relaxing.  It feels really odd without the babies here.  We're gonna go get them soon, thank goodness.   I know I complain about how tired I am, but I hate not being with them at the same time.

We looked in Target a little bit for things we're gonna need when we move.  It's kind of overwhelming; the whole packing thing.  Josh's parents still don't know that we're leaving, but everyone else does.  Josh said we'd tell them tonight, but I don't see that happening.  I guess tomorrow.  I have a bad feeling that Karen's gonna  lose it and try to stop us from going, especially because Josh is leaving a job that he likes and that he's doing well in.  I kinda feel guilty about having him leave his job and family, but I think that I've given up a lot for him the past three years.  He says I should'nt worry so much, that things will work out.  Well, you know me, I worry anyway.

Hope everyone's having a good weekend.  Crystal's gonna let me borrow New Moon tonight.  Woo Hoo!

*Hugs*

TWILIGHT DVD Date & Cover!

Summit Entertainment will release the DVD of TWILIGHT on March 21st. (See cover art below!) While no special features have been announced as of yet, I'd imagine we can expect at least 12 deleted scenes (which director Catherine Hardwicke told Collider.com about HERE), as well as an interesting bonus scene that was filmed for the first movie from "Midnight Son", the abandoned novel written from Edward's perspective that author Stephenie Meyer abandoned after it prematurely leaked on-line. (Read details on that via MTV's website HERE!)

Taylor Lautner To Reprise His Role As Jacob In TWLIGHT Sequel "NEW MOON"!

It's official. Here's the press release as posted by Ain't It Cool News:

TAYLOR LAUTNER TO REPRISE HIS ROLE AS JACOB IN NEW MOON

Los Angeles, CA January 7, 2009 – Summit Entertainment and director Chris Weitz are pleased to confirm that Taylor Lautner will reprise his role as Jacob Black in the TWILIGHT franchise’s next film installment NEW MOON.

“I'm very happy that Taylor will be playing Jacob Black in NEW MOON and that he's doing so with the enthusiastic support of Summit, the producers and Stephenie Meyer,” said Weitz. “The characters in Stephenie's books go through extraordinary changes of circumstance and also appearance; so it is not surprising that there has been speculation about whether the same actor would portray a character who changes in so many surprising ways throughout the series. But it was my first instinct that Taylor was, is, and should be Jacob, and that the books would be best served by the actor who is emotionally right for the part.”

“My experience on TWILIGHT was wonderful and I am looking forward to continuing on with the team for NEW MOON,” said Lautner. “I have been working hard preparing for the physicality that this role will require and can’t wait to get started with the filming of NEW MOON.”

In NEW MOON, which will be released domestically November 20, 2009, Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) is devastated by the abrupt departure of her vampire love, Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) but her spirit is rekindled by her growing friendship with the irresistible Jacob Black. Suddenly she finds herself drawn into the world of the werewolves, ancestral enemies of the vampires, and finds her loyalties tested. Production on NEW MOON is scheduled to begin in the coming months and the studio is planning to release the film on November 20, 2009.

The action-packed, modern day vampire love story and blockbuster success of the first film in the series entitled TWILIGHT was released in theatres on November 21st grossing $69.6 million domestically during its first weekend. To date the film has grossed over $177 million domestically.

Lautner had the role of Jacob in TWILIGHT and also has been seen in CHEAPER BY THE DOZEN 2 and THE ADVENTURES OF SHARKBOY AND LAVAGIRL 3-D.

Lautner is represented by WMA.

I just wanted to tell everyone that I'm still alive.  Both boys have colds and after a long week at the hospital, I haven't had the time or energy to go online.  Now I'm high on Vicodin from the dentist and decided I'd write just a few words while they were asleep.  I hope everyone is doing okay and if you wanna chat just give me a call - Wendy, Tam, Ang, whomever... I'll be here.  So pray for me or have a hit for me or have a shot for me, whatever it is that you do and I'll be thinking of you guys, my besties and waiting for April first!  *Hugs*

I don't think any of that made sense...

Here's a few poems that I had written within the last 6 months or so that I just got to posting.....

I am fascinated with them
Tiny miracles
Fingerprints of perfection
Eyes filled with spirit
So fragile, yet so strong
Innocence
So in love
From within me they came
Born on a special day
A day of life
and a day of death...

The rise and fall of his tiny chest
Breath of an angel
A tiny joyous smile
-It's his Grandma Kathy whispering sweet nothings into his baby boy ear

Motherhood
A frightening experience
A roller coaster
A cluster fuck of emotion

Unconditional Love
It's all so worth it.

One day he'll have the same feelings I have now about his own child
From now on my life lived is all for them
I am truly blessed
_________________________________________________________

Pale skin, dark hair
I was once there
Eyes rimmed in black
Lips encrusted red
So much insanity within my head
I felt dead
Loved the dead
Wanted to be dead
My room; darker than dark
My heart, broken and still breaking
My life; disastrous and never ending
I drank so many of my memories away
Good and bad
Both gone
So many years have now passed
So many things have changed
Re- arranged
Sometimes I miss my green room
Mind full of doom
My glycerine
Pale Green Stars
Tourets
The blue eyes suicide
My suicide fantasy
The teenage rage
Turn the page
Now I'm a Mommy
Missing my Mommy
But still trying to be proud
I still have my scars
All these things I'm made of today.
