Wow! i just noticed I haven't given any updates since April. Summer is almost over here in Phoenix so Im pretty stoked on that. As you guys should know by now the mammal is always working. So, here are the next few music related happenings for me that are coming up.

1. TM Mixtape- 10 tracks of remixes, covers done by awesome humans, mash ups, freestyles and just straight up ridiculousness.

2. 4 Way split about Sheriff Joe Arpaio w/ Fathers Day, Porches and Andrew Jackson Jihad. A split about Americas toughest sheriff, his antics and injustices. When this happens you will probably hear about it.

3. A split 7" with the awesome Magic Hero vs. Rock People from Austin, Texas. They make psych music with Cat Stevens-esque vocals how can you argue or hate on that? Here is a link to them. www.myspace.com/magicherovsrockpeople

4. Another split 7" with Flagstaff band Feel Free. I was recently in the studio with them and it was the best time I have had in a while. This split will make you wanna throw a full beer at my crotch and feel good about it. I can't find a link to them but it's Bobby C's new star studded band. If you don't know who Bobby C. is and you live in Az you are probably not that cool. Zing!

5. This is why I don't do updates.... because I am not a very good writer.

6. I rented Stop Loss the movie last night and one of the solutions that one of the soldiers had to stop the war was that we should drop a 10,000 pound bomb on the city of Iraq. Sick.

Alright, I am doing some shows in San Diego in November and I promise I will try to give you guys more updates when I can. I don't do facebook because my mom is on there.... But you can follow me on twitter if you'd like. http://twitter.com/treasuremammal

First of all I would like to thank KSPC for sponsoring TM to perform @ The Kohoutek music festival @ Pitzer College. The people from KSPC and the Kohoutek festival were all incredibly nice and respectful (even though some people thought I broke a microphone:/

The Kohoutek festival was spectacular.... Matt and Kim were fucking incredible while The Henry Clay People were much less than incredible. Unfortunately, Randall got taken while I was playing at the festival so if you see him around send me a message!!! He can't type or text (because he has hooves). Also,  If you haven't CINAROLLED yet you probably haven't lived and you will reaaaal soon at my next show.

Big thanks/ups to Rachel, Kim, and Mandy for being especially awesome and taking care of me most of the time.

Definition of Bromance :
1. Describes the complicated love and affection shared by two straight males.

2. Going to unusual lengths in a attempt to become closer with another male friend.

3. An emotional attraction between two bros. Often the attraction is expressed physically through wrestling, nuggies, and head locks. In the more advanced stages hugging, snuggling, spooning , and even kissing may be included.

4. Brody's Jenners definition, a bromance is "A bond between you and your go-to guy. Somebody that just keeps it real with you."

5. The act of wooing a fellow male friend for the purpose of becoming closer.

If you have any other definitions of Bromance or stories about your own personal bromance reply to this blog! This blog is in support of my new song called "Bromance". This song has not yet been released on an album... But I did do a cell phone a pella version of this song when I had a show in Vancouver
and the border patrol didn't let me in to Canada because of my DUI. So I just called it in! Sick.

Hello everyone!!! I hope everyone had a good holiday/ new year!!! This year will be a big year for creative endeavours .

To start off I am going to start doing my own label called Kingdom Mammalia. You might have seen the logo on the split i did with Panda 84. Early this year there will be a split with Fathers Day containing songs about Joe Arpaio which I am super stoked about. Also, I am working on two different albums at the moment. I am working with engineer extraordinaires Mike Hissong and the other with Preston from My Feral Kin and Land Before Time. I am feeling pretty good about taking a hiatus from playing for a month and a half. I will be venturing out to the Northwest for a couple of shows. I haven't ever played in the NW so I am excited and anxious about it but I am sure it will be fine. Best Friends Forever has been featured in the new music sampler for magnet magazine including Copeland, Taj Mahal, and Portugal. The Man. I guess you get it if you subscribe to Magnet Magazine.

Lastly, I have a new song called "Be the Best" and it features Robin Vining on guitar and Andrew Tholl on violin. Take time to give it a listen when you have the chance.
I hope everyone has a great year and conquers what they would like to accomplish.

I came back about a week ago from a mini tour with the Numerators from Lubbock, Tx !!! This tour was awesome! It started in Flagstaff @ The Monte Vista hotel. It was a full moon, cold as fuck, and driving up to flag was rad because I saw some elk on the side of the road. I was very fortunate to play with GZR and IHYWYP. While GZR was playing their last song the manager of the place decided to be really adamant about telling GZR to turn down. Finally, after being asked several times to turn down Bobby from GZR decided their set was a done deal. After GZR went on the manager decided to bitch me out about turning down before i had even started. I told him to take it easy. The thing is the manager didn't know was that I had been kicked out of the Monte V the last time I was there. The manager of the Monte V is a GAYLORD. Real Talk. My set was pretty fun even though I couldn't hear shit from the P.A. because they had turned it down. Phil played some old jams, some new ones and it was a super fun set. I drove back to Phoenix at 2 in the morning and I got home at 4am. I slept for 4 hours and then flew out to Lubbock, Tx.

I arrived in Lubbock at 230pm, then went into KTXT @ 5pm did a radio interview/ live performance and talked about the split release show with The Numerators, SBACH, and Little Teeth. I also saw Little Teeth perform on KTXT and it was spectacular performance. The show was at Bash's in Lubbock and the turnout was pretty great considering the current state of the economy. I finally met Spencer Seim from Hella/ Sbach and he was super nice/ talented dude. I hadn't seen the Numerators in a couple of years, but their live show has gotten really good. With the addition of Rueben on bass he has really filled in the low end frequencies/ sick rhymes for the Numerators. The show ended, we went home and had three hours of sleep, then we were on our way to Albuquerque, Nm.

I forgot that the drivers side window was broken in the Explorer and could not go up at all for our whole trip! Soooo I was on 7 hours of sleep in the last two days and we had to drive to Alb for our show at lunchtime at University of New Mexico. It was rather cold especially for a Phoenician, but we pulled through it. We got to UNM late, but we still managed to play the show. The show was kind of awkward because the hiring of bands is mostly for background noise. The show took place in front of the student union and you performed in front of a bunch of statues. The Numerators had a rad set and I had a great time especially using my new wireless mic!!! I am pretty sure I performed most of Total Winner on my knees riding a longboard. Nuff said bro! The Numerators and I performed songs on KUNM later that day and plugged the new split. I still can't believe we scored that interview of KUNM. KUNM is basically the college/ Npr radio station in Alb. Later on that day, we played the Goldhouse which is a D.i.y., vegan venue in Alb.
First off the GOldhouse= good people. The whole show was super fun and totally diverse. One of the standouts that night was watching a band called North America. North America is kinda like a dancy version of Hovercraft. Hovercraft is still one of my fav bands and the fact that they sounded like that and adding the dance element was INCREDIBLE. We slept in a suuuuuuuper cold basement but we got sleep though for the first time in a few days. After our many tasks in Alb we were on our way to El Paso, Tx.

I have never played in El Paso so I was pretty excited about the whole extravaganza. One of the interesting things about El Paso is that there is barely any white people which is strange yet comforting. We got to play with the DOzal Bros from El Paso which was fucking amazing and Bel Aire from Austin who was also totally amazing but in a totally different way. The show was at a coffee house/ bar called the percolator in downtown El Paso. The crowd participation in this place was off the hoooooooooooooooooook! Needless to say the show was great.

Many thanks to: The NUmerators, Dozal Bros, Little Teeth, Sbach, Bel Aire, North America, GZR, ihywyp, Everyone at the Goldhouse, KUNM, KTXT, and The girl who let us borrow the Ford Explorer! I can't remember her name.

Czech out my new song called Real Talk! nOW.

Alright!! I haven't posted any news in awhile so here goes... I am still working on the new record but I have no job and no money sooo that won't probably come out until early next year. BAM!

In the meantime, I have another split 7 inch coming out with a band called The Numerators from Lubbock, Tx. On the 7 inch is an edited version of Spring Break! there is a little bit more STD in the mix. It should be out by Mid November. I have a few tour dates in November in the Southwest and in January I will be heading to the Northwest for the first time ever! I have a show @ Reed University on Friday, January 30th in Portland. If anyone has any ideas on playing a rad show somewhere in Seattle or Vancouver the day before or after let me know.

I will put some new songs here and there on my page so come back and check em out when you can.

Finally, there will be a 5 year TM anniversary show at the Trunkspace on November 29th. I will be playing with Fertile Crescent from Brooklyn, Fathers Day, Andrew JaCKSON Jihad, and maybe Soft Shoulder and SouTH mOUNTAIN mEN.

I am starting a new project called JURASSIC PARK: THE BAND. We will be playing pretty soon. ttyl. omg. Abe

Well, on my last tour with Whitman we had to cut the tour in half because of lack of funds and no shows in the midwest. But i had an interview/performance that was scheduled for the Humpday dance party radio show on WLUW in Chicago. So, i was pretty bummed when i had to give the bad news to my friend Brent who actually set up the interview/performance that we couldn't do it. Brent thought it would be a good idea to just do the interview/ performance on my cell phone. After twisting my arm a little bit i decided to do the performance in my Mitsubishi Galant. The reason why the final countdown was performed is because it was Humpday dance party's last radio show and they have been doing this show for more than 10 years. So, they decided to play all the different versions of the magnificent piece that is "The Final Countdown." This was one of the highlights of the tour. If any other radio station wants me to do a car performance I will probably do it. The Final Countdown is on my myspace player... So check it out!
