Wallis February 27, 28, March 6, 13, 14 at 8:00pm and March 7 at 3:00pm Successful mystery playwright Chuck Reynolds (Dean Keith) has had his plays lauded by all critics except Charity Starr (Sheila Gilchrist). When she shows up at his home and has the unmitigated gall to ask his expert help in writing a play of her own, Chuck fiendishly insists that their teacher/pupil sessions be held over lunch with Charity footing the bill at the most expensive restaurants in New York City. Lunatic waiters (Benjamin Keegan Arnold & Jon Christie) provide a uniquely hilarious touch to these meetings. Love blossoms despite the scheming of Chuck's amorous neighbor, Yolanda (Krysten Hahn). Charity's play opens on Broadway and she finds out what it's like to be a target for all the critics. The show also stars Blake Thorn as Terry and Kathy Borics as Glinda Bellows. Non stop fun, romance, and explosive hilarity make this an ideal show for the entire family. So I was watching some television this weekend (surprising, I know) and I came up on this show on TLC called 17 Kids and Counting ( http://tlc.discovery.com/tv/17-kids-and-counting/duggar-family.html) about the Duggar family. I have no problem with a family of that szie, all the power to you. The one thing that had me going WTF was the eldest son. At 20 he has found the girl he wants to marry and arranged fora suprirse engagement. They live in different states so he arranged for her parents to take her out to dinner. He'd fly down and rent a hotel room and surprise her at the restaraunt for the engagement. They sit down and order and he soon walks up with balloons in hand. She is very suprised to see him, but happy too. The parents excuse themselves leaving the "kids" to themselves. He gets down on one knee and proposes. She says yes, he stands up... and they HUG!! He later confesses to the camera that he and his fiance are waiting to be intament until after they are married and this INCLUDES KISSING!! These two freaks hold hands (after discussing it with their parents to see if it was alright) but won't kiss until they are wed. What the hell?! Look, I'm not saying they should go out and screw or anything, but good God, shove your tongue down each others mouths for Christ Sake!

Driving home from work today, it had been raining, and the roads were wet. I wasn't going too fast (60-65) when I hit one of those water plane (sp) things and my car went into a spin. The back of my car started to go counterclockwise, and soon, I was going in full circles. Luckily I was in the left lane, and started to drift into the median. No guard rails or trees there, so there wasn't anything to hit. There were cars going by me, and all of them (somehow) managed to stay out of my way. Also, I never veered into the other lanes going in the opposite direction, so no fear of a head-on collision.
Starbug finally came to a hault in the wet and severly muddy median. I was very shaken, and quickly checked myself to make sure I was okay; I was indeed.
But now I was stuck in VERY deep mud. I wasn't able to move forward, but had a little luck moving backwards. Then I decided to go from DRIVE to REVERSE, and thereby rocking the car. I was soon able to makie it back onto the 121 tollway.
I took the nearest exit and turned the HAZARD lights on and took a few breaths and then called Melissa. I just needed to hear someone's voice, telling me everything was okay.
I did finally make it home; my car covered in mud and grass.
And I am still a bit shaken. If you see me, just give me a hug....

We recevied a package in the mail the other day from cafepress.com. Someone sent us a gift, but there was no card or anything letting us know who sent it. I emailed them, but the person who sent it was anonymous, so I am saying THANK YOU to whomever sent them. They sent me a nice shirt that says "Eat Sleep Act" and then one for William which is in the pic below. So, THANKS to whomever sent them!!

So we had a show at Lakeside Arts Center on Friday night and the parking lot was overflowing with cars because of the early voting at the government building. I called the police to inform them that a car was parked in a HANDICAPPED space WITHOUT the proper paperwork. Did this car receive a ticket? NOPE! Did the cars that were double-parked or parked in the grassy median get ticketed? NO!
So apparently it is okay to park ILLEGALY if you are voting. This was news to me, as I thought it was unacceptable to park in a handicapped space without the correct documentation.
THANKS COLONY PD FOR ONCE AGAIN GOING BELOW AND NOT QUITE BEYOND THE EXPECTATIONS OF LAW ABIDING CITIZENS!!

Okay, most of you know that about 6 months ago I received a raise/promotion to Tech Assistant at the Best Bujy Service Center. I am now working full time and WITH benefits. Well, I went to the eye doctor on Monday the 21st (my dreaded 36th birthday) and I should be getting my new glasses this week. Some of you might not know that YES, I am supposed to wear glasses. My last pair broke, and so without insurance I never replaced them. I am excited to get glasses again, I really want to be able to see better!! Some of you have never seen me with glasses, but you will get used to it, lol/
Anyway, enough about me, I am writing this to let ALL MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY know that my beautiful, intelligent, and sexy wife got a PROMOTION/RAISE this past week. She is now an Associate, which means she gets larger bonuses, an increased base pay, the company pays for her parking, and she gets NEW business cards.
What is REALLY impressive is that most people who receive this promotion have been with the company about 3 more years than she has, and are licensed. But because of some AMAZING leadership skills and amazing job performance, they said, "WHO CARES, GIVE THIS WOMAN A PROMOTION!!" She still had toget her license (which she will), and then she should get another raise after that.
I won't go into how much she is making exactly, but it's a bit more than before. We can now start saving money for house improvements, vacations, etc.
I AM SO PROUD OF MY BEAUTIFUL, SMART, and AMAZING WIFE!!!
If you get a chance, please send her a CONGRATULATORY email to mwallis@hksinc.com

So last week I was having some issues with my back. I pulled a muscle or something so it was hurting a bit. That went away, thankfully, and then I starting getting a pain in the left side of my abdomen. Yesteraday at work this pain became unbearable, so I scheduled an appointment with my doctor.
After they checked my urine, checked my blood, and two x-rays, my doctor was stumped. Since the pain started gradually and wasn't any sign of trauma, he really didn't know what the issue was. And since I was in so much pain, he suggested I go to the ER where they would be able to run more tests; tests that he couldn't do at his office.
So I drove to Plano Presbyterian and admitted myself into the ER. Once again I give urine, they take blood, and I speak to the doctor. I then drink 32 ounces of some sort of fluid as they are going to give me a catscan. I will say that during this wait period I was able to watch television, so I was somewhat entertained and distracted. I did sneeze once, and when I sneezed it hurt so much I thought I was going to die. Yes folks, it's that painful!!
After downing the 32 ounce beverage (yummy) the nurse returns in an hour and gives me an IV. Then another nurse wheels me to the catscan room. It was actually pretty cool, and not painful at all.
Afterwards I am returned to my room and soon the doctor is back.
I was diagnosed with Diverticulosis. Sounds scray, right? Well it's otherwise known as "diverticular disease", is the condition of having diverticula in the colon which are outpocketings of the colonic mucosa and submucosa through weaknesses of muscle layers in the colon wall. These are more common in the sigmoid colon, which is a common place for increased pressure. This is uncommon before the age of 40 and increases in incidence after that age. Yep, yours truly is getting old!!
He gave me some pain meds and some antibiotics which I had filled at Walgreens.
Basically I have to eat more fiber, and avoid nuts, popcorn hulls, sunflower, pumpkin, caraway, and sesame seeds.
He wants me to do a follow up catscan in 3 months. Also, I am on doctored ordered rest for three days, which means 3 days off from work.
So, that is all for now!!
