The Atlanta R&B singer who had everyone wondering what topic she was thinly, sensuously disguising on her first hit single "Oops (Oh My)" in 2002, released a second CD in 2005 that somehow did an "Oops" saleswise, and is now in midtown Atlanta's Patchwerk Studios fine-tuning her return.

• The work: Her new album, "Love Tweet." "And I called it that because it's a 'thank you' to my fans who have hung in there with me — who come up on the street and say 'We're waiting for you!' It's a love note to them."
• The atmosphere: Besides the mix of a new Chingy single bleeding into this room from the studio downstairs, it's pretty quiet. Tweet's 17-year-old daughter (who appeared on her last CD, "It's Me Again"), is having McDonald's for lunch. And some of the Patchwerk staff has just brought up bottled water and freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. "I can't have one though," Tweet sighs. "I've got to do VH1. I've got to be good."
• The thing she thinks will surprise people: "My song with [Atlanta rapper/actor] T.I., called 'My Dear'. It's an Atlanta-sounding record ... And I think Tweet records are usually acoustically driven. [And] very soft."
• The surprising thing revealed during the session: Tweet actually started in a gospel group called Greater Love. Then she was in a rap duo. She forgets the group's name, but she was called Brown Tone at the time. Next was Sugah, the R&B trio put together by DeVante Swing, of the R&B group Jodeci. "We happened right before Destiny's Child," Tweet recalls. "And I really think we could have given them a run for their money." (Next came Missy "Misdemeanor" Elliott, and Tweet's first record deal as a solo artist. Now she is signed to music legend Jheryl Busby's Umbrella Recordings.)
• The scheduled time for you to hear it: "We want to have three songs out before next year," Tweet says, "and the album in stores in the first quarter of next year."
