here are a few friendly reviews of "territory" that have come across our desk in the last few weeks.

"Territory shows that Two Hours Traffic know how to grow as a band even as they continue to pump out incredibly catchy pop." - I Heart Music

"gorgeous and defiantly old-fashioned..." - The Straight (Vancouver, BC)

"THT has come through in the clutch...if this doesn't put them at the top of that hypothetical "best young band" list, they're certainly in the conversation." - Herohill.com

"...tends to grow on you after repeated listens and its delights become more apparent. Well done, lads. Performance: A-/Production: A" - Scene Magazine (London, ON)

"5 stars...this is one album that I play in its entirety every time, a rarity these days." - Backstage Vancouver

"Territory is the kind of album that elevates a promising band to a strong one, with signs of true greatness within easy reach." - The Record - Michael Barclay (Waterloo, ON)

"Two Hours Traffic know how to make every note count, and they waste nary a one." - Quick before It Melts

we're in the midst of making our way across the giant that in ontario. spiral beach and the danks are close behind. keep an eye on twitter.com/twohourstraffic for up to the minute news. i've posted a couple pictures below chronicling the first leg of our tour. the first is of liam and i surrounded by and underneath a mountain of boxes, instruments and bags en route to toronto and the second is of the greatest rear window i've ever seen. that about sums it up.

to thunder bay!

hey gang

the good people at X3 have chosen us as the artist of the month for september. what that means is you'll see our mugs on the cover of exclaim, along with a fancy article (you can read here) and a nice feature on cbc radio 3. thanks to exclaim, cbc radio 3 and AUX for all the support.

in other news, territory will be hitting the shelves a week from today. you can still pre-order the album from our website for a few more days so head on over if you want to save a few bucks and get some fancy shirts and bonus tracks.

report back soon.
