UKHH are ready to hit peeps with the next instalment of the UKHH.com CD series – after successfully utilising the scratch talents of K-Delight for the classic laden CTRL-ALT-THE BEAT mix we're ready to hit heads off with another underground stomper.

We're currently looking for submissions for the CD being compiled by WytFang (Undali) and Blufoot (Scenario)….and this one will be bigger and better.

We are looking for complete, high quality tracks. No half finished unmixed tunes with one verse. If the standard is not high it will not be included on the release.   The last mix got tons of excellent
press coverage and sold copies all over Europe and Asia.   If you'd like us to get your music out there n promote you then please send over your MP3s to wytfang@hotmail.com or blufoot@blufoot.com for consideration.

We cannot be held responsible if your track does not make it onto the CD, unfortunately we can't put everything on there but we will try to get as much good shit on there as possible.

The deadline for submissions is the 8th of June so get them tracks in ASAP.

If you have any suggestions or questions please hit WytFang or Blufoot up via email.

Thanks for your continued support & good luck to all entrants.

Current mood:  happy

Yes, those of you with obsessive compulsive tendancies will have doubtlessly already noticed: www.ukhh.com has hosted over FIVE HUNDRED INTERVIEWS!!!

Nae bad for a voluntarily run website eh???

So whilst we continue our drunken choruses of 'Big, Bad n Heavy' and other self congratulatory backslappin choons badly sung, please take a gentle minute to read the interviews our Selecta's chose to celebrate this momentous FIVE HUNDRED landmark:

Klashnekoff,:whose new album is best described by our own scribe Kane as  illustrating 'an artistic maturity that has the potential to push British Rap further into mainstream credibility', definately an MC creating much debate on our forums so it's apt that he should feature as the UK face of our BIG 500 interview duo.

http://www.ukhh.com/features/interviews/klashnekoff/index.html

The U.S factor of our 500 landmark interview spot is the one and only Immortal Technique. Always a good engaging interviewee, this one with Pootle is one of the best I've ever read, fully engaging and as ever illuminating the wholesale shite that our global political and cultural systems enforce on us (or something like that?)

Read and LEARN:

So happy 500 to us, we don't even look a day older!!

Current mood:  chipper

As part of our quest to provide you with the most diversely strange combo of hip hop journalistic coverage ever banded together loosely on one site, our mother site WWW.UKHH.COM is now hosting the following interviews:

Big Narstie, who I am now in total awe of, just for one of his responses 'I used to follow my cousins to raves. All I wanted to do was wine up a buff ting, but then I wanted more…Love from the stage.' Interview rocks! Watch him go far!

http://www.ukhh.com/features/interviews/big_narstie/index.html

Willo Wispa, one of the scenes most amiable characters, nicely interviewed by MadRox. I won't pinpoint my FAVORITE quote as it's kind of minging and you might be eating - but it's in his first answer to the first question!

http://www.ukhh.com/features/interviews/willo_wispa/index.html

Completing this latest batch of inta's is a piece on newcomer Zuby, who is currently studying at Oxford Uni no less - so big props for that alone before we even read about his musical output!

At UKHH we've always been into KNOWLEDGE ie getting as many people as possible to know about all that is UK Hip Hop Culture, and we do an okay job we think?!

Now we've just been given details of a new project that should hopefully interest / inspire you, so we're spreading the word and hope you will too...

RAW MUSIC UK is a new initiative aimed at celebrating the talent that lurks amongst our misunderstood teenage brothers and sisters, focusing especially on those most misunderstood: those on the edges of crime and drug involvement, visit their page http://www.myspace.com/rawmusicuk and request their friendship...

...maybe if we are nice to the youth they will stop playing their music SO LOUDLY on the 316 bus every morning :-)

25 Feb 07 Sunday

...bit of an exaggeration, but three of the best new  interviews you'll read in a looong time are now up on the site: Million Dan, Necro & Rup.

A favourite of all UK Hip Hop veterans, Million Dan is still rising from his roots as a member of the legendary Demon Boyz, smashing it with Dogs n Sledgez (now the theme tune to this very page) and a brand spanking new mixtape mixed by Daddy Skitz. Read the full low-down on all things Million Dan via the link below:

http://www.ukhh.com/features/interviews/million_dan/index.html

Also gracing our fair site is an interview with the mildly worrying but always hugely enertaining and undoubtably immensly lyrically skilled Necro. Yes his lyrics may scare the cr*p out of us sometimes but our boy Louis Soul was brave enough to interview him. Check out this indepth exchange of views thru link below:

http://www.ukhh.com/features/interviews/necro/index2.html

And that's not all, Louis still had the stamina to go off and interview Zebra Tribes latest talent Rup, man are our writers strong or what?? Be one of the first to check out Rup so you can be the smug-heard-bout-it-first-matey that music mans love to hate.

Now, 6.52pm on a Sunday, usual emotional dilemma, not gone supermarket: take away or pasta, take away or pasta???

Peace be with you, enjoy your Sunday (late?) lunch, whatever it may be, if it's better than pasta or take away don't tell us....

READING Check Check??

In a continuing effort to prove that le Hip Hop UK does not start and end as far as a cat can be swung from the banks of the River Thames, our intrepid scribe LuvJones has produced a fine interview with Mr Phlo all about the scene in Reading (a nice place outside London which has hip hop).

Check here to check check out Reading:

http://www.ukhh.com/features/interviews/phlo/index.html

Or you could visit our mother-site www.ukhh.com for some networkingness and discussioness with the inhabitants of our forums, where various heated debates have been raging this week. Sadly an attempt to re-introduce the legendary thread 'Is wearing pink straight gangsta' wasn't too successful, but there's always next week.

Have a good w/e.
