I think this has got to be the longest period of time between tours for us. Aside from a handful of dates in April, we have now been at home for nearly eight months, which to be honest is both BORING and disgusting.
However, the time at home has not been spent doing nothing. During the past 8 months, we have holed ourselves up in our new practice space. It's pretty dark in there, stinks of piss and doesn't look so pretty, but it's free, has a loaded bar and is OURS. It suits us. In there, we have been writing loads of new songs. It's been a bit of a different way of writing, but it seems to work. We have demoed a few of these new tracks, and over the coming weeks we will be putting them up on our Myspace player for your listening pleasure, we hope you enjoy.
As well as new songs, we have been thinking about what to do with our now extensive catalogue of old songs and demos. The solution was/is to make them available to buy!!! How about that? Underground Heroes selling some music? The first installment of music will be ready and available to buy in digital and physical format by the way of a 5 track EP in October. This will consist of 3 old tracks, a new Demo and a "Wild-card". This maybe a live track, a home demo or something never heard! All going well we plan to release one of theses every 3 months. We haven't given up on our quest to put out a full proper album, but until then we want our music to be readily available and by doing this we can!
To back up the release of our EP we will be touring in October/November up and and down this fair isle once again in our little blue splitter van, so be sure to keep checking the Myspace for announcements RE Tours and dates.
Meanwhile, enjoy the new Myspace Layout and Let us know what you think of the new track "The Ripper".
Another snippet of a another new track "Un-American" will also be up this week, so lots to keep checking.
Enough writing now,
see you soon.

You may or may not have heard that we have been added to this years underage line up again!!! We are all properly excited about this, last year was awesome, definitely one of the best festivals we've played. On at the same time as Foals and Dizzee, and you still smashed it. Whose coming back this year, let us know?
Until then though, we have a few UK gigs scattered about for you to attend and bring the usual mischief. Who is attending these? Ticket sales so far are going pretty fucking good, so congratulations to everyone who has made the special purchase, you are wise people and are in for a special treat. As for everyone who hasn't, why not??? For a start you run the risk of not getting one? You will also miss the longest live set we have ever played, including brand new songs and maybe a cheeky cover???
Remember last time Dundee??? 1000 of ya "Here we, Here we, Here we fucking go..."
Stoke, you made our year last year when touts turned up to the gig?
And London - Has a lot to live up to, the smaller towns are showing you up?
The gigs are all 14+ and can be purchased from
http://www.artistticket.com/link/?s=underground+heroes
There only about £7 - we promise to make it worth while
If all the shows are sold out, it's another step towards making some stupid industry bod sit up take not and maybe even put our music out?
See you all there.

Current mood: determined
Hello and good day to you all. How is your Tuesday Jan 27th 2009 faring? Mine isn't too bad, the sun is shining outside and the sky is blue, it's always that much nicer when the weather is nice.
So as you may or may not know, you may or may not have heard, we - UNDERGROUND HEROES - are currently writing some new songs. A whole new set maybe. Whole new vain, new sounds, new style, new trains of thought, but style maintaining everything Underground Heroes were in the past. Raucous, energetic, fun and LOUDER.
Over the next few weeks/months we will not be playing many (if any?) live shows, but will be concentrating heavily on writing and recording demos of these new songs, to unleash upon you very soon. As we do this we will of course be updating all our lovely friends and family on Myspace with our progress in the form of blogs, bulletins and previews of the new songs on our myspace page.
We will also be putting up new pictures aswell as taking old ones down, changing the layout and design of our myspace page and basically just having a spring clean out of all things Underground Heroes.
In the meantime, keep checking our progress, sending us messages as you do. Keep spreading the word on myspace. WE RELY VERY HEAVILY ON OUR MYSPACE PAGE TO KEEP GOING AS AN UNSIGNED ACT AND WITHOUT YOU WE WOULD STRUGGLE, SO PLEASE KEEP SPREADING THE WORD. Who knows, we may even get signed with your help, so please keep going.
So keep viewing the page, keep upping the play count, keep sending us random messages from all corners of the globe, keep sending us bizarre comments, keep asking us questions.
World domination through myspace?

We've been flat out in the studio this week, recording some new songs. We've only got a little while left now, but we have recorded a newer version of "Get up and Go" and a brand new song called "Crooks and Pirates". Clips of the two songs will probably go up within a few weeks.
The songs are sounding a lot heavier and we're experimenting with lots of new ideas and sounds. It's been pretty good.
Anyway we've taken some pictures and they're here for all to see.
See you soon.

Well after a week on tour finally got round to a blog, taken a week but here goes:
Newcastle..
A good place to kick off the tour proper, and party with our mates the Hungover Stuntmen. Goin to a Chinese buffet, proves that 'all you can eat' is not the same as 'all you have room for' ! (a few jager bombs sorted that out though! ). Travelodges in Leeds, Manchester and Newcastle look pretty much the same, they have bouncers in the 'toon' though!!
Glasgow:
Rained like Noah was expected…(the original with the ark not the geezer with the whale!)…..Gale force wind was provided courtesy of Nandos…! Saw some old friends, and made new ones from America,……. Bear Hands top geezers from Brooklyn. There is no passport control on the border we smuggled Joe McGeary south! He was in disguise though!
Leeds:
The Faversham saw our unexpected return……!!!! Someone discovered it's never wise to ask Jak Miller to draw on your face with a marker pen!!! Oooops! Leeds has the best full English breakfast cafe ever (by the E Tap), and we needed it bad the next mornin!
Manchester:
The academy still has electrical gremlins…..but it didn't stop the boys from smashin it again.
Bear Hands got lessons in 'talkin geezer'! Brooklyn get ready!
Smart Car drivers have got issues…….not surprising really though! Who'd drive that?!
Brighton & Oxford: the crew left to their own fact findin missions for a few days! So where are those facts for the blog??????? Lost on the journey from Oxford probably!!!!!! Along with JB's I pod! He's our new roadie by the way come say hello to him!
Sheffield: Halloween –
we Really Really do love fancy dress, big hair, and even bigger hair, 80;s hair metal rocks!!!!!! just for a bit it looked like slash was playin drums!! And the gig went stadium rock style!!!!! The Leadmill was fun! Quality all round.
Take Away q's in Sheffield are a time trap though………how long can you really wait for number 55! (we'll live and die in this take away….no that's Coventry innit!!!!!! Sort of!!!)
London : another wicked night no fancy dress though!
Well that's that for the Relentless bit of the tour, no more Relentless drink 'twitching' for now, (you can have too much of a good thing ya know!) though there's still a few cans left!!!!!!! The new songs are soundin wicked. Rest of the tour the Heroes are headlinin …….more good times……….be there on the next leg, see ya soon x

Whats new then? We got back for Ibiza and done a few festivals and thats pretty much it. We smashed it at the ZOO festival, despite the lack of organisation (and our lack of money) the two shows were good.
Lounge on the farm was pretty sweet aswell. As usual our guestlist was overflowing, and as usual the people on the gate were getting pissed off with people saying they were on our guestlist. But the show was good and I think we found our youngest fan. Apologies to him by the way, I lost my phone with his address on an cant send him a CD. Sorry mate.
Underage was wicked aswell. Underage is a festival, obviously, for people up to and under the age of 18. Younger crowds always go for it more and this was no exception. We played a real small ten whilst Dizzee and Foals were on and still had a whole tent full, so thanks to everyone that came, you done us proud and also gave the best stage invasion we've ever had. Not so mnay thanks to who ever nicked our pedals during said invasion, and the sunglasses tut tut.
ANYWAYS were all home now and to be honest were really fucking bored. Reason being, a couple of weeks ago Joe done an Ozzy Osbourne and fell off a quad bike. He suffered concussion and a broken collar bone. It's not actually broke, but its not in the socket anymore an sticks out quite far. He lost his memory for a couple of days which at first was scary, but then was quite funny. So while he's mending we're not doing a lot.
We did plan on writing and rehearsing in this time, but Joe's arm is still mending. We have been writing a bit and just before Joe smashed himself up, we managed to rehearse on new song. It's pretty different, as will be all the new songs I think. Look forward to our new set.
FINALLY, sorry for the overlaod but it's been a while , We do have some gigs up on the page, and there will be a new tour going up very soon. These gigs will probably be the last time we play the current set as it is, SO GET OUT AND SEE US.
Cheers guys.
