Two years ago, frustrated with the process of selling on Ebay, I began to develop a multi-seller platform specifically for 78 rpm records and memorabilia from the era. My goal with this auction site is to combine the best parts of traditional mail auctions with the ease of listing and flexibility of an online auction. This site is designed to cater directly to experienced collectors and dealers, weeding out the mountains of poorly listed records that clog the Ebay pipeline & make finding what you are looking for a crapshoot at best!
Starting on Monday, June 8th, we are opening up a few weeks of Mock auction cycles that are being run to test the system with multiple users, before we ultimately go live for seller in July. This first beta cycle will run from Monday through Friday and we encourage everyone who has the opportunity to participate by creating a buyer account and placing Mock bids on any of the records listed (and for fun, I listed some Holy Grail items!). During this period, we also hope that you will consider signing up for a seller account and test the system by listing some more Mock items for the following test cycle which will begin on Saturday. Everything listed for sale will go live and end at the same time – so all items listed will be automatically scheduled to begin during the next cycle.
Once the cycle ends, we will be sending out mock invoices for your winnings with fake payment instructions!
Again, these will only be test auctions and none of the items listed are actually for sale nor will you actually be paying what you bid. It is necessary for us to have the test cycle prior to opening up with actual items & bids. The system is very large and detailed so there are undoubtedly some bugs that we’ll encounter. If & when you do, I encourage you to report them directly to me at Malcolm@venerablemusic.com or post a message about the issue on the new forum board here -

There is a section of Q&A for both seller accounts and buyer accounts. This is the best place to ask questions, make suggestions or report bugs. All boards will be closely monitored and questions will be answered ASAP!
