The Lost One

You catch him
in the
corner of
your eye.

Bald,
pierced,
tattooed.

Apparently
juiced,
high,
or
a nut,
with a
screw
loose.

Someone
else's
problem.

A lost
one.

You don't
dare
care.
He might
be
you.

Your
greatest
fear,

Never mind
he is the
answer to
a mother's
prayer.

The soul
mate
of another
making
two
one.

The
artistic
genius
of the
century.
Such
power
and
truth
in his
work
and
words
the world
has never
known or
heard.

Your
greatest
fear,

You don't
dare
care.

He might
be
you.

A lost
one.

Folks the YWCA family Violence Shelter in my town has the below IMMEDIATE food needs as these "times" get tougher it brings out the best in most but in some it brings out rough beasts. This shelter helped me when I left my ex husband and were so there for me. Now they need help besides the below immediate needs and anything from toiletries to clothing for women and children and other funds if you cannot drop off any of the below items at the YWCA at 710 Travis Street in Shreveport La 71101 please consider donating a dollar or two (every "bit" matters) to address above or using the electronic link below.

This also a shelter that does NOT charge those that seek refuge there as most do in my area and across the country. If you cannot help here check with your shelters and consider giving something even "time" to those that do not charge their residents. Thank YOU in advance.

Here are IMMEDIATE items needed if everyone that reads this buys a couple of extra items and drops them off or just donates a couple of dollars the results will be miraculous for sure and certain!

1.  30 gallons of milk
2.  40 loaves of bread (hamburger and hotdog buns)
3.  cheese-slices or grated
4.  instant oatmeal and grits
5.  apples/oranges/bananas
6.  lettuce and tomatoes

I was blessed to attend the HUB: Urban ministries event yesterday http://thehubministry.com/ camera in hand many thoughts flit thru my mind pics will be up after next weekend. foremost in my mind oddly is I do not attend "A" formal church regularly something about those in my age group, will be attending an i2D event today http://www.facebook.com/ho..me.php?ref=home#/group.php..?gid=117219650392 and http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Intent2Distribute/ these are the thoughts extremely slightly edited that flew from my fingers after Saturday's event

SO it really begins ....

*soft smile* First thank Y'all for your patience in this I have been doing some juggling behind the scenes along with life's other "interesting" adventures ... I am wise enough to know I should not go into the homeless camps alone so I have been blessed to hook up with two organizations working on the front lines The HUB: Urban Ministries with the vivacious spirit filled young lady Cassie Hammett tireless caring for the homeless in my area http://thehubministry.com and Intent2Distribute (I2D) with the faithful and caring Donna Easton in charge a myspace group http://www.facebook.com/home.php?ref=home#/group.php?gid=117219650392 (also in my my facebook groups and yahoogroup http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Intent2Distribute/

I have promised both groups I will split half of any sponsorships and grants with the organizations willing to allow me my camera and my wee digital audio recorder to tag along with them for a year. Soooo this is the the beginning of an "Interesting" path in life's journey, as I need to to get pics to submit for a grant by the end of the month and I am scheduled for a "wee" gall bladder removal Monday I will be hanging with Cassie and HUB family tomorrow after the Farmer's Market for family serve at 3 pm see their we site for details a family event for families they can use many helping hands and I will be I2D's street church, lunch and basic needs distribution Sunday from 11 to 1pm also see there sites for details, depending on the surgery I will also try to Make Hub's Thursday event as well.

Photos will probably NOT be posted till a week after the events.

The homeless, and their stories like ALL of US matter!
