Los Angeles, CA-based alt-rock artist AM is gearing up for the release of his highly anticipated new album "Future Sons & Daughters" available exclusively on iTunes on August 11th, 2009 through Filter US Recordings (Fontana/ Universal Distribution). AM will be previewing songs from his recently finished album “Future Sons & Daughters” on Saturday, July 25th with Filter presenting AM at the Hotel Café in Los Angeles, California at 10pm. The eleven songs that make up the new record were recorded in Los Angeles, and produced by Charles Newman (Magnetic Fields and Top 50 Albums of 2008 Rolling Stone). Movies and Television shows may be where you first heard of indie artist AM, but he’s doing a lot more than providing a soundtrack for your favorite viewing pleasure. AM’s West Coast dates include a performance on Friday, July 3, 2009 at Zoeys at 8pm and on Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at Soho in Santa Barbara supporting Glen Phillips of Toad The Wet Sprocket fame. Lyrically "Future Son's and Daughters" delivers deceptively simple messages on a variety of moral questions, and ultimately wonders, "What have we left for the ones taking over"?

Indie crooner and acclaimed songwriter AM is putting the finishing touches on his new album "Future Sons And Daughters" with producer Charles Newman (Magnetic Fields) and is previewing his new songs on Saturday, May 16th, 2009 at 8:30pm with his full band at Spaceland in Los Angeles, CA.

Fusing simple, intelligent lyrics, undeniable pop sensibilities and sparse, psychedelic groove “Future Sons And Daughters” combines the classic and the modern with an honesty only a dedicated music fan could produce.

"It's Been So Long", a haunting duet, pines on the dangers of resentment and the necessity of mercy while "Leavenworth", a Carol King meets the Beatles style ballad, examines the world of a marriage gone awry.  "Fortunate Family Tree" conjures up social commentary on the haves and have-nots in today's America and "Self-Preservation" critically examines history's pervasive "survival of the fittest" mentality.

"Fortunate Family Tree" conjures up social commentary on the have's and have not's in today's America while "Leavenworth", a hauntingly sparse ballad, summons the Beatles or early Carol King against a 70's B-movie soundtrack.
