well 2008 is well under way, i've been pretty good, France did not go quite as planed, just could not get the hang of that snowboard shit, to many people spending far to look trying to be far to cool, hollyoaks on ice!!! a man like me cant breath in a place like that, so after a few scraps and getting barred from a mountin i called it a day and headed back to the grey skys of England. I feel i did not miss to much, But as the nights get longer and the flower start to bloom all thoughts turn to my happyest time of year, festival season!!!!!!!!!

I am now 28, i have been round the world done a few mad things along the way but i have decided i am never happier then when caked in mud, smashed, jumping about with my nearest and dearest. i miss my tent, my shit sunglasses, warm Bow, hippies, mud fights, stinking toilets,dance tents, feelin like shit for a week after till you scrape your self up and do it all again,

Not long now tho. For a bit of a warm up I am off on tour with the heroes for a couple of weeks, which will be great fun, as we have a new tour bus that is well posh and we are going to a few of my fav venues. hopefully bumping in to a few friend along the way.

  Then some thing i have never done, I am off to Ibiza! two weeks of dodgy elctro music and people pulling some funny faces in the clubs, the boys are playing for the month, like the coolest hotel band ever. I know a load of team are heading over and i cant wait to get a few silly nights out under my belt.

after that Glasto! Jay-Z will be the bollox!!!!

The first 3 days of the year were a bit dull, so I will start on the 4^th. I flew out to L.A to see the View play the Viper rooms and silverlake land. Fucking ace week, me and Mo ended up in Nick Noletys Malibu mansion driving round in a Mustang, good time!

 

    Then a few weeks painting and off to Dundee with Russ Tannen to do an Art Exhibition. 2 weeks off madness.far to many sories to tell, Russ i love you. Thanks to every one up there who had looked after me. (Mo family)

 

    Then the NME Tour where I met the Horrors who have become good friend and again looked after me very well, (Denmark, Texas…..) THANK YOU

And mum ra. Who again have been great fun.

    Off to Germany with the view boys, Pete's 21^st. smashed for the whole thing, beer hall, Irish pubs and all kinds of silly shit!

 

    Then some tour time with the heroes. How every tour should be. Stolen motorway food, really shit jokes (poor Barry) great banter, love of weather spoons, packed hotel rooms, Aarons cooking skills( he is getting dead good now) And just a great bunch of lads (and a lassie, thanks for looking after me when I needed it. Love ya) to be with and I hope every success,  if there is any justice they will own 2008!!! Thanks Guys (and Jak)

     Then for my Final View tour, ended a bit short but always great. They get a special thank you as with out them none of this year would have happened. They have introduced me to nearly every one in this list and so many of my dear friends come through a twisted association with the boys. Good luck with the second album and a hope 2008 will be even bigger for the band and the whole team around them. Thank you.

   

 Texas, don't really know how this happed, me and Russ got pissed and went to SXSW. Stayed with the 2 nicest guys in Austin, went to loads of great shows, Partied really hard!!!! Fuck!!!! It was a great week. Russ is off doing oatmealtv.com. Go and watch it now (Russ you have been a good friend this year, and you have been there for all my highlights, make sure I see you soon)

   Sunshine underground, fucking ACE!!! Done there merch and ended up going on tour with them twice. Such great lads and so good live, made me feel part of the team and have had some great nights out with them. The second album is really starting to sound massive. Go and see then live ASAP!!! Worth every penny. (The happy Monday tour was a blast) See you boys when I get back.

   Festival season, for more detail read the blogs. I had a great time, done myself no favours at times. Met some lovely people, to many to mention, got a bit messy, and decided that dance tents are really good news. Glasto was the pinnacle tho. The group of people I shared it with are my dearest friend; if there was top ten list I think that week would be top of the pops. Love you all.

Now, I am off to France to live and learn to snowboard. I have no balance so it could be a fucking joke but it is time to go. There are far too many people to mention in this but you all know who you are, any one that has given me a bed for the night, a lift, a ticket, a tour, a job, a pound, a cheeky one, a hug or a good chat,  I thank all of you for making this the best year ever. I have done things this year I could have not  have dreamed of, and done them on the Guest list.  Keep me posted on what you are all up to and I will see you soon.

yes, one month of clean living and i am feeling great, have a go kids your body and bank balance will be so much better off for it!!!! i am back on the road with the amazing sunshine underground and some band called the happy mondays. there are tickets left for some of the shows, come along as it will be a great tour. i will post all the dates.

That is fucking it, no more, done, i am through, The straw that broke the cammels back, V fest!! I am not waking up in a cold, wet, sraingers teent once more this fucking year. Reading is canceled! Thanks to aaron for sorting out last minute AAA/VIP tickets for the sunday at V. I know it is just about the worst festival in the world so we just poped along for the sunday, couple of beers and drive back that night. Why does it never work out like that? after photocopying some vip parking tickets so we did not have to walk so far, we stumbled in to the strongbow tent to find Russ Tannen and team already smashed throughing some of the best shapes i have ever seen. Things as ever got out of hand very quickly(even for us) as we made are way back stage, Goose was alraedy in full swing shouting at every z list celeb that walked passed and the odd raging, mincey poof "hi seb", we sat back stage all day, got smashed on everyones elses rider, grafted on mikas dancer and got his pass, bad gear!!

many hours later,in the dance tent, jono said he was going home and would drive, so i droped my keys on the floor and ran off in to the night. smashed on high power L.S.D.

thanks to A for the tent, sorry to every one who i told i was blind, and all the poor cunts that had to sit next to me on the horror show train trip down to chatham. but that my friends is another story!!!!

Well, back home sweating out pure evil, the ticket blag went so well, my plan work, i got AAA passes for the whole weekend, in fact I got 24 passes for the team, i am getting really good at this. inside I made friends wih the boss and got the keys to the rider tent, free booze is the best booze, ended up out my fucking box for the whole time, spent 20mins waiting for a tube train to get me from the beer tent to the 2nd stage, scared a lot of bodies, poured lemon jucies in my eye, won a sack race, told so many lies i dont even remember if i was at the russian school of ballet, djed on the moon, have my own smoking lodge or ever trained to be a monk?

  lovely to meet some new people, great to get silly with some old ones, (still love you pete;) jack penate is the nuts, beans on toast is a god and the heroes smashed the granny out the punk bitch, they are a fucking headline act!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks to the myspace bus for putting up with my shit, (i am not really the bongo raj) and and letting me paint.

festival number 7 under my belt this year! secret garden is fucking amazing, like all the fucked up bits from glasto but less mud, smaller and on a lake(which is why i got chucked out) I went with the sunshine underground, bless you for tickets and rider, tent, food, music and Stu for money(got smashed lost every thing, gear cash,fags,shoes!) and every thing else you done, they where fucking amazing and the main stage, then off to the dance tent for some scary face pulling(i won) i had a great time and will be there next year, if love like the idea of glasto but hate hippys, this is for you!! saddly i am back home now(kate nash pulled out cos her people said she is to big to play there, Kate we are OVER!!!!) So for some reason i had some scuba diving gear in the van and thought is would be a good idea to go diving in the lake(off my fucking chops) i was only in the water for less then a min, before finding there was no air in the tank, getting draged out and told to fuck off. I love festivals i hate come downs say nice things!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

today for resons unknown, i decided to wear a neon pink track suit in to town, all going well till i walked pased the first shop window, caught a glimps of my bad self and noticed 1, i look like a tit and 2, my phone did not go with my out fit, already sporting a shell suit i felt a bit scummy so decided it was time to do a hooky insurance job on my 2 year old cracked screened nokia 6210 (thats how i roll!). it was not untill i was in the middle of boncing the said phone against t very nasty looking wall did i remember all my numbers are stored not on the sim but on the phone, so not only did i look a compleat cunt, i now felt like one too!!!
one hour later i am sat at home, skinnys on rocking a stolen foals tshirt with my new sony k550i (braaappp) sadly with no numbers.
if i like you or you like me or we have slept together, played thumb wars, shared toothbrushes, danced, got mashed, djed at fabric/ibiza/toilet, wrote an album on ket, beat up a tramp,been on tour, been chucked off of a tour made pregnent,, married, broke your heart, drunkenly asked for a quick hand job in a public toilet, beat as chess, spat at or anything of the like. can i get your number please. i have just cleared out my studio and have found lots of stuff. if you take time out to do this, i will pick a name out and send them a goody bag, i promise!!!!

SXSW BLOG (finally! - part one) Hey there stranger. I have finally finished work for my degree, I hand in tomorrow. Since I now have nothing better to do (apart from looking after my boys the suggestions and sorting out mine and stew's new club night at the tap... news soon) I thought I'd get round to wacking up this SXSW blog. This is just the low-res pics I have scanned in all ready, all in the wrong order, and genrally with loads missing. At some point i'll get the rest up, i'm just bored of scanners. This Texas trip was completely random. Like silly. On tour with Heroes one day, on a plane to Texas the next. One love to Sam. ERE WE GO... this is probabbly a ridiculous enough photo to start with. thats ryan horrors and albert hammond jr having a stare-out. it pretty much sums up the entire trip. Me and Sam diddn't have passes or laminates (they cost loads of money), which basically meant we had to blag everything. Lucky enough for us the horrors sorted us guest list out the whole time, and they were playing most of the best shows. I diddnt have a girlfriend at the time. she was a mental though, she put her cat in a draw and had a rabbit in her room. probabbly the best sign ever. american tv. yes. young knives paparazzi shot. (not really they knew i was taking it, I thought it would look better than this for some reason, I think I was drunk on free beer and barbeque) I told her that she played shit in the day. she did. she agreed. i'd love to see winehouse sing a gallows track! this is Sam with Tom - the most ridiculous story ever. We met Tom on the plane over, bumped into him about a million times, and then on this occasion got talking and realised that we had both been to the SAME primary school and middle school on the Isle of Wight, except he was 4 years ahead of me. seriously weird. The Horrors hit SXSW Faris and co perform a raucous set 16.Mar.07 8:08am The Horrors played their first show at the South By Southwest festival tonight (March 15), performing a typically raucous set. Taking to the stage with a bunch of black helium balloons around his neck, the band's frontman Faris Rotter embarked on his usual rampage of violence and destruction, which saw him shove his label boss from the stage, swing from ceiling lights and trash the venue's bar. At one point he barged through the crowd to pick up a rubbish bin filled with cans, which he then threw from the stage. The show ended with the crowd pelting the band with cans and plastic glasses, and a final stagedive from Rotter. They played: 'Jack the Ripper' 'Count In Fives' 'She Is the New Thing' 'Sheena Is A Parasite' 'Crawdaddy Simone' 'Gloves' Me an Faris went on a tatoo mission. I was pretty much intent on getting a shit tatoo. Faris was pretty much intent on getting this mad type of pigeon that they have over there. we both bottled it due to the fact that the tatooist was shit and started looking up tatoos on google image search. I diddnt sleep much in texas. I spent the nights taking photos of the television like this one. eh noo! this guy from the flaming lips was walking up an down sixth street with a camera crew the whole time, with about 100 people taking photos of him. I joined them for this one. breakfast tacos rule my world. OK. so thats like not even half of the pictures, I'll def get the rest up at some point next week or something when I get a chance, I've also got the View/Heroes dates to put up (an them photos are fuckin sweet), plus some other heroes bits an pieces like a day in the life of George an recording with Paul Epworth BLAAAAAH.
