Anyone can invest in a SellaBand artist or band and once they have achieved the required amount of investment, investors receive a limited edition copy of the album sent directly to their front door (amazing an exclusive limited edition brand new album that you helped create delivered directly to your door). On top of that, the artists and their fans share equally in the revenues of the album. SellaBand is an exciting way of discovering new music, changing the face of the music industry and being part of the fun. To date 25 Artists from 12 different countries have raised the full $50,000 and over $2,200,000 has been invested in unsigned artists. Where is: all of this going to happen?

The recording process happens in the artists country of residence after they reach the target goal of $50,000 (find out were all the money goes here from the FAQ section & an overview from the piechart  pic below)…

When is: all of this going to happen?

Well that's entirely up to you for it all happens once the artist has reached the target Goal of $50,000 (this is money that sits in limbo until the target is reached) Then it is of to a state of the art recording studio with SellaBand providing a list of experienced A&R people & top producers to help create & manage the record (all of which the artist get's to pick).

Why is: Wilson co-creating a record like this? 

I am co-creating a record like this for many reasons. The first being that I just simply love the concept & idea of co-creating a record with none other than the people who love the music in the first place. I find it so absolutely amazing that we can all come together & co-create something like this, something that we can all share, experience, love & feel a part of. It's just so wonderful. I would love for everything to work like this.

The second being that I have never experienced the creation process in a professional atmosphere before, up until now I have only ever recorded in home studio's & done all the advertising/promotion myself, which is wonderful don't get me wrong it's just that I truly believe with all of my heart & being that the Wilson Noble music project was always meant to be heard & shared by many. I feel by co-creating & releasing my next record in a professional atmosphere like this the Wilson noble music project could finally reach that next step in the industry ladder & Wilson Noble will finally become a full time professional recording, touring & sharing artist, how wonderful I so look forward to meeting you all on my tour & thanking you in person for helping make this happen.

Some other thoughts on why!

In the usual circumstance of the creation of a professional record the artist would normally go to a middleman company who would then usually put the money up front for the creation of the record (that is of course if the company actually like the music in the first place & in most cases but not all feel they can make a profit out of it by the exploitation of the artist) then once all the recordings, promotions & reproductions are finished being made it is then & only then that the fan/listener get's a chance to share in the musical journey by purchasing a finished product. The way the Sellaband idea works is very different from this for it is so much more personal, unified & involved with all parties sharing in the entire creation process of the recording. Rather than just purchasing the finished product the fan/listener get's the opportunity to be much more involved in the actual creation process of the record, they get to actually help create it in the first place. I believe music lovers all over the world will love this idea, I know I do. Just imagine this way you actually get to go into business with the artists you love, helping & enabling them to be who they are without any form of exploitation on the middleman path just a two-way appreciative sharing gesture with you & the artist, I love it.

This way I can keep my originality & independence as a creative artist & take the next step in my musical career with none other than the people who love the music…
